I think the Vita version of Oddworld will rise in value but not really that much. Most people are selling it for around $70 on eBay right now so if some people think this will go up to $200+, then maybe they should buy up all the copies for sale.

Someone is finally making a grip for the vita for remoteplay. It adds buttons for L2/R2 and L3/R3. For slim vita's only though

http://www.play-asia.com/remote-play-assist-attachment-for-playstation-vita-slim/13/70a3hf
That's actually pretty cool and has my interest. In fact, I'd actually love to have Xbox One and PS4 controllers that move the stick clicks to back triggers because I frequently click them by accident all the dang time. I think that Xbox One Elite controller allows remapping that disables the stick clicks but that thing is crazy expensive.

Something similar exists from Joetsu for L2/R2 support, but this is the first time I've seen physical L3/R3 buttons.
I've only ever seen them with triggers that "replace" the Vita's triggers. Never seen them for R2/L2 where it taps the touchpad zone for those buttons. Aren't the Vita triggers mapped to L1/R1?

You're thinking of the (terrible) PDP Trigger Grips: http://www.amazon.com/Vita-2000-Trigger-Grip-Sony-PSP/dp/B00JYE8L9K/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1462823320&sr=1-1&keywords=ps+vita+trigger+grip

Here's the Joetsu one: http://www.amazon.com/Psvita2000-r2button-Load-Grip-Cover-Black/dp/B00TP8KBJI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1462823201&sr=8-1&keywords=joetsu+vita. You can probably get it cheaper importing it on your own.

The additional triggers touch the top portion of the Vita's rear touchpad to act as L2/R2. The Vita's built in triggers serve as L1/R1.

I like how people are comparing Earthbound to SMRPG or Furturidium as if there's a connection there.   :dunce:

Never seen that one. How the hell do you get to the L3/R3 zones on the back touchpad with it in place? They're covered?

It's not covered. There's a cut-out.
Oh, that's a white vita in there. The grey color on the back threw me off. How the heck does it handle hitting the zones then? Does it cover just enough of the touchpad top edge to have a place to connect?

That is pretty neat, but not $44 neat since you still have to tap the zones for R3/L3.

I was going to sit this LRG run out.  I keep looking at the game and it just doesn't look all that appealing to me.  But that "It's a vita game YOU MUST BUY!!" itch is starting to be annoying.  Wish I could have just slept through it like I did with the first batch.

I'm tempted cause it sold out so fast, but I'm still going to try to stick with my "If I don't personally want it, I'm not buying it."
That's a good idea to follow, but as I've stated in the past, if there's a 1% chance of anyone possibly wanting a LRG down the line, just grab a copy now. The games are cheap to acquire, and unless funds are so tight you can't spare them, why not grab a copy while you can.

I personally have a huge backlog for the PS3, 360 and Wii U(don't even own a ONE or PS4 yet), that if I live to be a hundred, I'll probably never clear, so I understand those who don't want to add to the clutter. But in the end, as long as these runs stay low, there's no loss of funds really, as these games can be sold to cover at least what was paid(and then some), so even if a game sucks, or you just decide later you don't want it, it can be sold(without a loss).

Several of these games I honestly didn't know if I wanted the game or not, but I just grabbed a copy just in case. If anyone is firm in their own ideals, by all means follow the path you have laid, but if there's the smallest chance for wanting a title later, just grab it now and save some time and money that may be greater down the road if you change your mind.

Quit enabling me!!

Where exactly are people making this connection? You seem to have seen a couple words and just made up the remainder of what you assume was being said.

Out of curiosity how do you know that you need a new battery? I've never had the same Vita long enough to know. Had the phat then got the black slim but that was messed up so sent it back and bought a the lime green slim then got the neon orange slim. All were new too so never reached that point.
my battery would charge but it wasn't holding it for longer than a few hours. You may not be able to tell though since there was that glitch in a update that was causing peoples batteries to drain while in sleep mode I think a few months ago.

errr you're collecting LRG games when you don't have a PS4 or XB1 yet? madness, insanity.

Vs. the normal discussions of "my LE hasn't shipped", "mine did", "mine arrived, but it's damaged because they used a bubble mailer"

The more things change, the more they stay the same.
pfft we talk more about how rare some wrestling game or whatever is to complete a vita collection or the vita is dead.

Exactly, and there will be even less going forward. Unfortunately. :(

But discussion is still good!
Hard to discuss deals when there are none. Thus why it's deals and discussion. Not since the target clearance has there been anything great going on and you can only buy so many copies of reality fighters
prettymuch. What about mind zero or whatever that dungeon crawler game is thats on sale on amazon? thats on sale like last week.

Problem with that analogy is that ff7 was never rare or limited. People just got nostalgia for it when advent children dropped and the game shot up in price. Don't think anyone has nostalgia for little Samson or stadium events but they demand a really high price tag.

Collectors really do crazy things and people will go for complete vita just because the library is small
this. I doubt even the ones with messed up font are rare considering the hundreds of listings on ebay and such.

I didn't even want this game, damn you guys! Looks like a great Vita game though!

270  213 136 Vita games left

365 330 249 PS4

I broke down and bought a vita copy.  I hate myself.

Also for some damn reason website swapped my first and last name on both the shipping address and the account itself after I placed the order.  Everything was fine until I clicked confirm, still has the correct address though so only minor annoyance.

Honestly, it makes sense to buy it if you have even the slightest interest. The worst thing that happens is sell it off for more than what you paid.

I don't own a PS4, XB1, or Wii U. Can't say that I feel like I'm actually missing out on anything for not having them either. They would probably just collect dust as the consoles of last generation are sitting here doing. Vita is a far more appealing system for an on the go society.

Got my Vita copy, at this point it looks like monthly bill to LRG
LRG Is Practically a utility for us collectors. ;)

well i am not a collector but i have also picked up some for the ps4 when i dont own it either, love the vita infact enough for two for each region, dont blame you for not owning the others i only own two of those because one was free (wii u) that i would not spend money and dropped for my first le console with the halo edition. but with so many consoles and backlog you should wait till your done with most of the other consoles, heck got 6 ps4 games that will collect dust till i get one

Is there a wrestling game for Vita? I'm a long time fan that has games for my N64, Playstation. and such. I'd love to import a NJPW or AJPW game if there was one for Vita.

Well, my Vita 64GB card is full, so these games are a God send for me. I have grabbed a few PS4 games, but those where only for flipping to cover my Vita game cost.
Forgive me if we've addressed this complaint before... but you know you can delete games and they will still be there on the store ready to go in your purchase history. Sure a few games require the PS3 to download to then push to the Vita... but most games are pretty easy to find again and redownload.

I mean, I'm easily surviving with no problems with an 8gb card.

My installed full games are:

The Swapper, Flower, Xeodrifter, Final Fantasy Origins, MechoWars, Fighting Force, Strider 2, Castlevania SotN, Magic Carpet, Dungeon Explorer, Oddworld Abe's Oddysee, Breath of Fire 4, Don't Starve Giant Edition, FEZ, Home, La-Mulana EX, Shovel Knight, Lone Survivor, Mutant Blobs Attack, Retro City Rampage DX, Dragon Fantasy, SteamWorld Dig, Limbo, Terraria, Flying Hamster HD, Duke Nukem 3D: Megaton Edition, Teslagrad, Star Wars Pinball, Tom Clancy's EndWar, & Futuridium EP Deluxe.

I still have over 1.5GB of free space... and I'm on an 8GB card.

I have 30 full games installed... which is more games than I can even focus on ready to go... plus the data+updates for 6 retail physical games. If I wanted to download a much bigger game, I'd just go in and clean out some of the stuff I'm not playing.

It's purely on you not having enough space on a 64GB card. I mean, manage your storage space. If I can manage with an 8gb card, I would think 64gb would be nothing to complain about. Especially if you are buying most of the big games in physical form anyway.

Futuridium is 261MB installed.

Obviously you don't have any larger Vita games installed on your 8gb card; if you did, you'd only have 4-5 games. I have a 64gb card in one Vita, and a 32gb card in another one; the 64gb only has about 2.5gb left, and even then I have to be selective about what I add to it. My 4, 8, and 16gb cards are all just sitting in a drawer.

It's great having a lot of games available to play whenever you want, if they made a 128gb card, I'd definitely get one. The more the merrier.

True, my largest install right now is 468MB for Oddworld Abes Odysee. If I wanted to install a digital version of a larger game, then I'd just upload all of my saves to the cloud and delete stuff I wasn't playing and focus on actually playing that large game. It's completely managable. I do have a large physical library though, so most of the large games I already have in physical form. So it ballances out. I wouldn't buy Terraria in retail form because it was just so freaking tiny to download. Same for Futuridium and most of the other games I have installed. If I upgrade to a 64gb card, I think I would realistically just sell off my entire physical library as the digital versions go on sale cheaper than the physical sells for. I mean, I already grabbed P4G digital during one of the sales in anticipation of doing this eventually anyway. I'd still have to keep games like Asphalt Injection since they are physical only, but most games I could pretty easily just sell off at that point.

I'm mainly just saying, if I can survive on 8GB... it seems like anyone with a reastic idea of what they want to play could easily survive on 64GB. Of course if you want more and more space above that, that's cool. It just seems silly to complain about it.

...Was all that really necessary?
No. Is most of what we discuss here actually necessary?
