Man, your so right^

I love my DS & 3DS to death, and I'm no graphics whore by any stretch of the imagination, but sometimes I look at that screen, and I'll say "What the fuck where those guys thinking, this screen looks like ass". They are so lucky that the games are fun and often cool, as game-play is key at the end of the day, but man, that screen makes it so hard sometimes to enjoy the game at hand. LOL
Seriously. A lot of 3DS games would look great if they were running at a decent resolution. The models, effects, and even textures are often really well-made, but you can't tell half the time because they're all so blurry. Hopefully we'll get to play them upscaled at some point.

I asked this in the PSN weekly thread and didnt get any response maybe here is a better place to ask.

Just got a PS Vita and was looking at buying Twisted Metal 2. Has anyone played it on Vita? How does it play? Recommend it?

I bought one too. We'll get our $25 back in a month or two, don't worry :D
Well eBay completely removed the listing, so you better get the ball rolling on your refund. Never understood why some people fall for obvious scams, but whatever.

I picked up a backup Vita from this eBay seller, he's sold over 500 of them so far. Mine arrived sealed in perfect condition:

I'm glad I bought the aqua slim when Gamestop had them on sale last year. I'm rolling with my OG model until it dies but it's still going strong so it may be a while. I have so many vita games I could easily see myself still playing the system 10 years from now.

100000000% agree, I've been team Slim Vita since September 17 2014. I couldn't imagine ever going back to a Phat Vita.

I was at first, one of those people who didn't want to "downgrade" screens but one of Eld's post in AWD thread swayed me to try it, I never looked back. As other people have said, it isn't really all that noticeable unless you put them side by side. I don't feel like it's inferior at all. The system is perfect, it doesn't cramp my hands and handheld itself just looks better imo.
You also have to factor in that once the slim came out they started developing games for its screen in mind. So games prior to it don't look as good on the slim but the ones after it came out do.

so true. Love the games but damn if they aren't ugly for some of them. especially pokemon and tales of abyss. granted tales of abyss original release was a jagged mess. but the 3ds version somehow managed to look worse.

Thank you! I grabbed one. You never know when an accident could happen and I'd be screwed due to the special cord it needs. Plus it doubles as a psp charger. I wonder if you can use both at the same time... :whistle2:k
Ya I bought one also. as long as it works good it will be nice to not have to dig around for cords anymore.
one cord for all sony handhelds i have :)

For some reason I'm considering importing YS (since I will be importing God Eater and TitS anyways), despite now knowing anything about YS, haven't even bought the first one on Vita yet (don't even know if I should play that one first). Figured been this long might as well wait for plus or super cheap PSN sale, which I believe neither has happened before?

That seems like a bad idea, the cost to import Ys is enough to get every PSP Ys game

Found another copy of Shinovi Versus at a local place.  Not really sure what kind of trade bait it could be considering its by itself and not with the rest of the limited edition.

Anyone here have issues with their memory card acting up? I have a 64GB card and lately over half my games on it won't launch? Going to try to backup as many of my saves as possible and reformat the card

Every time I hunk about spending the money to upgrade to a 64 from a 32, I hear abou these issues. Is the 64 really that unreliable?

These overpriced vita cards are just so cheaply made that they fail much more regularly than normal SD cards. The higher capacity cards die sooner. There are some preventative measures you can take to extend the life, such as not leaving the vita in standby mode all the time and installing every game that has been downloaded (so you don't have big temporary/download allotments on the card) which seems to screw things up.

In my experience, once you've started having issues with a vita memory card, it is definitely going to fail completely, it is just a matter of time. You can backup/reformat/restore but the issues will pop up again and eventually the card will no longer respond and will not read/write/reformat/etc. Since its a proprietary format, there are no tools available to perform maintenance on corrupt vita cards.

Mine crapped out one time, couldn't add more games to it and the system reported that it had zero capacity even though it was over 2/3 full of games. I ended up reformatting it and it's been fine since. Thankfully all of my game saves were in the cloud, I had a major Terraria save that would have hurt to lose.

One thing I do now is to always shut the system down when not in use, I feel like it might help prevent this from happening again. I also have two 32gb cards and never had a problem with them.

Has anyone had a 16gb card fail on them? I've seen reports of the 64 most frequently with some sparse 32 as well but I don't think I've ever seen a 16 have issues.

I don't know if it was the memory card or what, but for awhile sometimes I'd get an error when I tried to start a game or sometimes the error would come up while I was playing and kick me out of the game. I backed up all my saves to my PC and then formatted the card and put my saves back. I didn't backup any of the games in case one of them was what was causing the issue and I just re-downloaded them instead. I haven't had a problem since.

For anyone who has Senran Kagura Estival Versus on Vita, how's the performance? I've read mixed reports online, but in videos it looks too laggy.

It wasn't bad, though there was some slowdown when lots of enemies were on-screen. IIRC, the load times were slightly better than those in Shinovi Versus.

Having played it, would you say it is worth getting on Vita, or is PS4 the way to go?
PS4 is the definitive version running better and such. If you want to play on the go I don't think it will be too bad either. I choose PS4 since I wanted that stuff on a big screen.

My youngest son had a Terraria save really far in that he worked crazy hard to get go corrupted on him. It was heartbreaking explaining it to him that he could not get it back. He only plays Terraria on the iPad now, he refuses to mess with the Vita after that.

I don't think it is the card with that one, nothing else has gone bad on my 16GB prior or since. I think Terraria had some save file corruption issues with some patches.

I'm betting it's simply a sample selection bias issue and not any actual difference in card reliability.

People who actually ponied up for a 64GB card use the Vita more and, hence, use the memory card more frequently.  More frequent memory card use leads to more failures despite the fact that the probability of failure on any given memory card access attempt is the same.

Yeah...but not going to even touch PSP games on my Vita, or else I will never finish my Vita games. Might just play YS8 and hope I can understand what's going on.

Due to most being refurbished unless you import new from japan yourself they kinda have a small chance for failing. I think there's also glitches for games if you haven't installed them or whatever on the vita that could be in effect here.

Not sure if this can be asked here, but anyone want to buy "Operation Abyss: New Tokyo Legacy"?

It comes limited edtion/day 1 CD and outer box.

Box is pretty beat up and not in good condition?

Anyone interested, name your price and i'll see what I can do.

note: if this is against rules, please delete.

Nope, having a bigger card the life expectancy increases since you don't have to read/write as much as a small card. I believe the issue is in Q&A to make bigger cards is lower than the smaller cards, they prob have some bad wear levelling algorithms.

It was posted in the other threads, but I think most of us are all chattered out from those other threads.

Most of the chatter is in regards to complaining about the terribly expensive shipping costs from Rice Digital, so, the usual discussion. :p

In other news. Muv Luv Trilogy for the Vita will not be done and ready to ship out until next year! Uhg! Apparently the backer-only polling went in favor of everything being shipped at once instead of shipping out the rewards in November minus the games. But here's some more potential awesomeness from their update.:

3. Due to popular demand, we will be shipping all rewards at the same time next year!

We’re still sorting out the specific scenes to uncensor from the all-ages version of Muv-Luv Alternative, and making sure all parties involved (including Sony) are in agreement with leaving them untouched. We’re hoping to bring awesome news pretty soon regarding this :)
