Well I go to Play-Asia to order Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs Force "English Version" and low & behold I waited to long because it's out of stock and gone forever.. Don't know where else to get the game..
I think there was a Europe English version..? As well as an Asian English version and Hong Kong English version.. ?
I'm lost on the different "English versions" for this game..

Can someone post pic if the European english version did exist
It is OOP just like Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines! Nah. It's just Play-Asia being assholes and not wanting to stock the game anymore. You can probably get it from Heavy Arms.

They're the same english version.

Why havent people learned their lesson by now with them?
Exactly. If your new game isn't a launch day one edition, then you are rolling the dice with gamestop online orders. Could be gutted from another store, missing content or played already. Who knows. Don't gamble. Either buy it day one brand new or you take your chances.

Went ahead and preordered the Summon Knight 6 LE for Vita for $133 shipped.  It a little pricey, sure, but I wanted to support them for bringing it over to the States, plus the bonus items and package look to be of a fairly high quality.  Not to mention a full color game manual ;)

You only have until 9/15 to get a $20 discount off the price, and they will only take orders until 10/31.

Yeah, My wallets been hurting lately, but I'm for sure planning to get this before the discount deadline. I'm glad to see it get a release as well.

I wanna get this but it's so hard to justify... Vic is a pretty sketchy guy/businessman (ie, he has a history of randomizing things to double-dip sales... like the plush color here), but he sure knows how to compile a nice CE. I'm not saying it's not worth it but it's a bit over the top for me. Wish they make a simpler/cheaper CE (steelbook, OST, and mini-artbook).

Plus I don't know if I want PS4 or Vita. Class of Heroes 2 on the PS3 is going for ridiculous amounts compared to the PSP version, so I'm wondering if one system might be a better bet than the other.

Don't know if you guys have been following, but the Vita has been blown wide open.  Guess all of the games I buy here on out will remain sealed.

I don't think anybody here gives a shit.

Also, we've already had this discussion several pages back, and for several pages. ;D

Just an FYI, it appears that Gamestop no longer has brand new Vita consoles in stock. They were drying up recently (I ordered one and it was shipped from a store in WV), and at that time it was $170 plus shipping. Now they're $200 and not available for online shipping.

Of course you can still find them on eBay and Amazon for around $150 (or ~$200 for colored ones), but I think supplies may be drying up in the near future.

EDIT: Prices are definitely going up. The major eBay online retailer selling them is up to $170, Amazon 3rd party is up to $165.

Being frank about piracy, I usually only download games I didn't care enough to buy in the first place (and most of them I don't even play). If I do play a game and like it, I'll buy it, like I did with Black Rock Shooter and several other PSP games.

Anyway, I really don't want to do anything that would hurt the Vita scene. I only want the hack for classic emulation purposes.

Of course hack would not stop at classic emulation... The whole point of hacking is to play free games.

Not that I care anyway, never had a hacked console, and don't intend to buy one ever. I'm poor but I have basic principles.

It's not as simple as having principles or not. For example, now that I think about it I'm sure as hell hoping there's a way to play my PS Mobile games again, since I've permanently lost access to them thanks to Sony.

Haha... figures.

Wow, never thought it would happen. I loved having my DS with homebrew... having dozens of games on one cart, not having to worry about losing anything valuable if I lose my carry case.. being able to backup/carry my saves around even if I no longer have a game. I know a lot of dickholes just do it to pirate games, I just like that I can have my physical games but also enjoy the convenience of not having to carry said games with me.

I got a notification from Amazon last night that my Trails of Cold Steel 2 is shipped.   I think I'm going to make the most of prime.

...

As for the whole vita hacking stuff, my library is already so filled to the brim with physical and digital games it's kind of pointless to take the risk.

Amazon only had 4 new Vitas sold and shipped by them left last night when I checked. We're down to resellers and no one has noticed. Either there's going to be some big news on the 7th (New York Playstation Event) or the 10th/11th (Japan TGS PlayStation event) or the end of retail availability in the west just so happened to coincide with the major piracy breakthrough. However the GS price increase is new in the past day or so.

Well we have that supposed leaked info about Foxconn manufacturing some PSP like device along side a new slim ps4 and the upgraded PS4. So maybe there is some truth to that. It would be very easy to mistake a PSP like device with a Vita. Either way the 7th is quickly approaching and next weekend is the 10th & 11th.

I played Summon Knight Twin Age on DS and enjoyed it. I havent played anything else in the series. Are all the games pretty similar I would enjoy playing a new one on my vita.

It'll be drastically different if you're comparing it to Twin Age as they're different genres.

Can anyone confirm for me that the retail version of Army Corps of Hell was a physical game?  Not just a download code in a case?

Ordered a used copy from Amazon and got an empty case with the Square Enix code for registration inside.  No cartridge

There is a real game inside the case.

If the Vita has finally been opened up, I hope Vita fantranslations become a thing soon.  If there's any console that can make the best of them, it's the Vita.  That was the best part of DS carts.  Well, that, and being able to scam the Dragon Quest IX online store.  Good times.

Why havent people learned their lesson by now with them? I ordered a few years ago and received a cracked used disc only game in a broken case, an opened "new" game with scratches and a damaged cover and a disc only used game with the wrong game in the case. Then they gave me a hard time when I returned it at the store. Never again.
GameStop orders usually shipped from ANY store using their discrete random algorithm. I wouldn't be surprised there were many inventory errors and when the store was told to ship a "NEW" one, they might only have a crappy one and they shipped as it was.

Usually a call to the CS (a 30mins wait hassle) will let you keep that and also refund or reship to you.

I took a look into the Corpse Party Blood Drive I dumped myself, a whole lot of unencrypted lua scripts, might be someone who know that can make a whole new story by editing them I guess.

I'd have to actually sell my collection in order to get anything for it in the first place. ;D
Piracy was pretty easy/rampant on the DS and PSP since it was so easy on those systems... plenty of expensive as fuck games on those systems, I doubt the Vita will be any different.

I bought a copy of Gyakuten Kenji 2 better known as Ace Attorney 2 Investigation 2 and I am currently playing it on the 3ds shame that this one never got an official English release but the Fan translation is great

I'm not sure if that's related to any new device. Since the recent "development", people are grabbing NEW vita which for sure has firmware less than 3.60, prices of Vita and memory cards have gone up on eBay. I have a new PS TV up for sale and I haven't seen so many views and watches compared to other Infinity and Skylanders figures I sold on eBay.

Yeah, it's more the collectibility of physical media that will retain value than the games themselves. Earthbound is readily available on the eShop for like $10 and is easy to find for free through "alternative" methods, but the physical games are insanely valuable.

I picked up a 16 GB vita memory card on clearance from Best Buy for $22.  Was that a good price?  I haven't kept tract of vita memory card prices.  I'd like to pick up a 32 GB, but I don't know if I'm going to find any good deals on those.

Generally the 16GB cards don't get any cheaper than $20, so paying $22 is really good. There haven't been a lot of great deals for the bigger ones--mostly imports and AWD recently, I think. Good prices for those are usually <$50 for 32 and <$80 for 64, and that sometimes means buying used.

Welcome to the lush hell of Sony's proprietary memory!

I'm thinking discontinued myself. Back in March there was a posting to Reddit with a guy that seemed familiar with Walmart warehouses. He stated that store restocks were cancelled by Sony, but was downvoted so hard by Vita fanboys that he deleted the posting.

https://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/4cqs69/sony_just_discontinued_all_vita_products/

and there's the comment on why he deleted it.

https://www.reddit.com/r/vita/comments/4cqxrm/sony_just_discontinued_all_vita_products_gaming/d1l7pum

Now here we are, almost 6 months later seeing early signs this may be true. I just wanted to put the disclaimer there.

I have this on my 3DS/DS as well, but I'm currently replaying the original series, and once I finish that, this game is next on my list.

Yeah, the translation team did an excellent job. It always boggles my mind, when companies like Capcom and "N" give the laundry list of excuses why certain games cant be translated, or its to expensive, etc. And then you have small groups of a few people who do not only a great job, but one that's better than what these clowns could have done on their best days.

That's why I always support fan translations, and recommend that anyone who enjoys a translation should donate some dollars to the teams responsible, so that way they know that you like their work, and hopefully they can continue to do other games in the future.

I fired up my vita (slim) with a 64gb card (filled with about 1gb of free space)... launched Wild Arms... watched the opening cinamatic... no issues at all. I'm on the latest firmware and haven't done any of the past hacks as this Vita is tied to my PSN account and I wouldn't risk it. I have all other apps turned off with none even sitting to the right of the main menu system waiting to be launched. I'm also connected to wifi. I shut the game off, disabled wifi, and ran the game again through the opening sequence without issue.

Side note... that opening cinematic is pretty awesome in Wild Arms.
Okay, Thanks for checking it out. (sorry for the late reply. too)

I really Love Wild ARMs, from the terrible 3D battle graphics that only a fanboy could like, to the Fantastic music and interesting quirky story that would go on to be a staple in many JRPG's to come to the PS1 era.

I deleted the game and re-downloaded it. It's still flickers on the opening. I'm not certain what to do but at least I have a PS3 that runs the game with no problem. (except for the added heat issue) I guess I should just play other games, like ones I own but have never played yet. lol

In other news:

There seems to be quite a few game delays that would have launched in September that are being pushed back.

Stiens;Gate 0

Final Fantasy 15 (wait 6 years for the Full Finished game to come out)

Shante: Half Genie Hero

Valkyrie Drive: "Boob-ba-Do-ba-boobs"

I wonder if there is some reason for it, like an upcoming strike or something.

Other then panicking my wallet for the chaos of the OCT-DEC crunch time, or giving me time to Dragon Quest 7 all over again.

same. playing fire emblem sealed sword on my wii was a pretty interesting experience.

eh the only risk is if you use a system to go online. And in most cases its easy to remove it before doing so.

Many fan translator don't actually take donation as they are afraid of getting in trouble with the publisher. Off the top of my head I know Tales of Vesperia and Mother 3 don't take donation. Many don't even have a website, only using free forum.

Yeah, I bought the Mother 3 Art/Guide book 3 times, so that is how I gave back to those guys, and that book was beyond excellent.

The game and the book together are probably some of the best quality projects I've seen in my life, as far as video gaming goes. Top shelf translation and products for sure.

I brought the handbook too, but not really sure what your point is. Fangamer released the book, but I don't think the translation team get any profit from that.

Only valueable to collectors. As a collector i refuse to pay hundreds for one game like earth bound hahaha i lol at the suckers that do and that is why most ppl scalp because they know some idiot will pay for it in the end. As for vita being cracked hope it means prices will drop just like they did for psp i just need it to be 50 and im coping a slim

I didn't get through for NISA Criminal Girls 2....I tried....I will likely have to go the other alternative.
I got pretty lucky, found out that my local game shop will be carrying the game so I preordered it there today. Glad I missed it on the NIS store, cause now I don't have to pay for shipping.

The Dragon Quest IX trick? Sure, but I'm pretty sure they shut down the online functionality years ago. But I'll tell you how it used to work.

Every day you could log into the online section DQIX, and visit a shop that had rare items and equipment for sale. You could only buy one copy, but every day had a new selection. The trick is that you could save after vising the shop but without buying anything and that day's items would still be there later, and you could also use the multiplayer component to buy things from other people's daily online shop, and the online system couldn't tell the different between a real copy of the game and a ROM. All you had to do was visit the shop in the ROM on your homebrew card, save, copy the save to your PC, use a second DS with a real copy of the game (preferably) to visit the world of the ROM, and buy out their shop. That save you copied will always have those items in the shop, and you can copy it back to the card and buy out the shop as many times as you want. Deck out your whole party with the great gear instead of just one piece at a time, or buy infinite rare items for the alchemy pot. If you had a whole bunch of different saves saved, of course.

Good times. I guess the trick still works if you can find some saves online that are old enough, and want to go through the hassle for not much reward really, but it seriously cut down on DQIX's post-game grind.

At one point I had dreamed of collecting enough saves that I could buy any item in the game through the shop trick, but my wi-fi was spotty back then, and I never got anywhere near that many saves collected. Is that weird? Collecting save files? I'm pretty sure that makes me weird. Oh well, I had fun.
