Can't wait to get off work for some Destiny action. Played a little bit via remote play at a friend's last night. Got my ethernet plugged in yesterday, too. Huge difference immediately, so I may try to stream some stuff tonight/this weekend if anyone wants to try again. Off until Tuesday, so I'm ready to rage.

Well estarland.com (yes reputable) will give you $10 for it or you could sell it on ebay like I did and probably get a little more back.

EDIT: Average ebay sales looks like around $15-$18

My bad, thought NPD discussions included all hardware.

The Wii was an anomaly, yes. But what you're saying still doesn't make sense. Aside from Wii U, which was an obvious misstep, how have their sales 'sucked'? They make money, lots of it. Neither Sony or Microsoft have come close to their consistency, lol, yet you scream and claw for Nintendo's head.

What reason do they have to exit the hardware business? You refuse to address that. I really want someone (anyone) to provide an answer because it feels like baseless doomsaying as always. No offense.

Could a software-only company be less volatile? Sure. But they'd also be forfeiting quite a bit of creative control. Not to mention licensing revenue. Doesn't make sense.

Oh, I totally get it if it's not your thing.  If you don't like FPSs or you're easily creeped out then I understand, but those of you who enjoy FPSs and aren't bothered by the atmosphere should have this at the top of your list.

FYI Netlfix added Inside: LEGO to the streaming selection yesterday. Coincidence? I had just prayed to god that he might bring me deeper into to the world of LEGOs and this suddenly happens? I don't leave things to chance. So I know what I'll be doing all weekend.

I believe it's 4 player couch coop (it reads 'press fire to join' in all four corners, like an old school arcade game). I don't know if there is online coop. Will check next time I'm on. For a dss i'm pretty much solo anyway since I don't want anyone messing with my zen so have never tried to see if i could play with others.

The controls took me awhile too but once I zoned in on them I plat'd the game. The only real pain for the plat is even after you do all the time trials, and then do the zone based time trials, you need to shave even more time off for the 'all around' time trial (that is, just meeting the times for zones isn't good enough).

A couple races were hard but nothing impossible.

not a fps fan, but I love the atmosphere. I'll pop it to the top after infamous.
 
Thanks Breakfuss. I thought we were good, I was just joking and going along with it when they said you ignored me ;)

I do say peace alot and it bothers people, which is pretty funny and a good filter for people I should deal with.

oh and I havnt finished bioshock either. Every time I put it in and start it i like to have an audience and it freaks them all out so I end up turning it off. After this weekends CoD diamond division clan war I will def start that up.

Any tips on getting the plat?

I didn't play Bioshock at all until late last year. I bought a new video card and it came with some games, one of which was BI. I played the first hour or so and liked it enough to buy the first game and play it some. It's...okay. Hard to get into. I'm not really a horror game kinda person, which isn't too bad, but the gunplay felt weak and the Big Daddies killed me more than I enjoyed. I still have it installed. I should get back to it sometime soon so I can kick it off the backlog and hard drive.

This describes my experience other then I did try BioShock a couple years ago and couldn't get into it. With all the rave on BioShock Infinate I rented it for a weekend and liked it a lot. Picked up 1 and 2 for $15 on PSN. Tried 1 a few months ago but was lost / disinterested. Trying to figure out where I was supposed to go and the damn Big Daddies kept killing me.

You can get around the big daddies, and come back later when you're more powerful.
 
OK, so I'm an idiot because I forgot that preordering the Destiny LE through Bestbuy.com entitled me to a Bungie code for the beta. Now I'm not sure if I should redeem it for a random console and give away the three codes or give it to someone else who can have the choice of console and then give away the remaining two codes.

Thoughts?

So is the Destiny taking an absolutely INSANE amount of time to "transfer game content" for anyone else? We are going on more than an hour now and it's at 8%. ??? Is "transferring" different from "downloading"? Either way it's looking like it will finish some time tomorrow. Crazy. We tried killing the game and relaunching but it didn't help.

Mine took about 5-6 hours. I was ready to play last night, like "yeah this shit downloaded fast". Then realized when I launched it "oh shit, this is what people were talking about"...it was slow as could be.

 
I think I liked the first post now. Not used to CAG on mobile. I'm jealous of you guys playing the destiny beta but then again I usually don't invest too much time into demos/betas. I'm excited for the game in September.
 
My son just totally fucking pwned an online race on LBP Karting with 6 human racers.... I was included in this race so I don't know whether to hug him or send him to his room.

 
God of War 1 on the Playstation Three-ta or the Playstation Vita. If there is a difficulty setting I most likely am going to play it on the lowest setting just to get through the series.

@Simmias does that like on my Bioshock comment mean that we can be friends again. :) Have I redeemed myself and you may think twice about dismissing my opinions because we disagree on Last of US.
