Other than old, old ones that I no longer remember. I played a couple hours tonight. It's ok, but the combat doesn't really seem to be more than mash square over and over. I'm just going to play without a guide, and depending on what I get for trophies, I might not even plat it and move on when I'm done.
Hm. It was used. The disc is fairly clean, but I'll try cleaning it off just in case that's the problem. I've hard locked in the same place 3 times now so I'm going to be pissed if I can't get further.
I've played Ark and Oath on Vita. They're both really solid and I absolutely recommend them. They're difficult and it does require some effort especially against bosses. Haven't played MoC yet, though, nor 7 (exact same gameplay style as MoC.)
idk how people enjoy doing this. it feels so silly, and i haven't really said anything at all. i was sharing simmias' sentiments at first, especially after you ripped on dfb 2. you earned a few points back with the ff13 stuff though. 13-2 was confusing at first, but i played through the game several times in route to alternate endings/platinum. 13-3 is pretty light on story. there's a little bit of backstory into how everything came to be, some current events, and a little more backstory into other characters. the gameplay is definitely the best of the 3 though, and there's a lot of customization.Uhm. I hate you. You suck and all of your opinions are going to be forever void. It's hard for me to rip on FFXIII. It was one of those games that I really didn't like the first 20 hours of and then it got good, but I refuse to accept that overall it was a good experience. I still bought the sequel, which made improvements but was soing confusing with the time switching. I still want to play FFXIII-3 and I am surprised I haven't learned my lesson.
I wish it was more RPGish. Very, very basic RPG elements so far. And I also wish it was easier to level up. Most enemies give 1-3 XP, and at level 9/10, I need something like 350 XP.

i don't recall any way to tell. i don't think it uses the nets anyway unless you actually cap the monster. extra capped monsters should automatically go to the bar.
i knew that, i was just speaking in general. seems some people love to pounce on a chance like that, and really seem to get a kick out of doing it. i'm one of those rare few that doesn't give a shit whether or not someone enjoys a game that i really like. i loved duke nukem forever too, and i'm pretty sure the club only has like 3 members.
Only reason to capture is for the trophies. I eventually was just using Ogden by himself for the last quarter of the game. But you can drop off captures at the taverns. Not sure if you can add more once your party is full.
I know, I'm just trying to get started early to make sure I get 50 monsters. I guess I haven't made it to a tavern, I just want to make sure the game is registering the captures I make when my party is full.
Leveling up gets easier once you're towards end game. Did you start on nightmare or regular? Plat makes you play the game twice so it's easier to start on a lower difficulty, max out all your weapons, then go back and wreck everything on nightmare for your second playthrough.
avalon pacts are just side things. if those are the i-x <name> pacts. no story really involved, just a way to get different offerings, and train whichever npcs you like. also the only pacts you play in multiplayer.

I don't think so, but I'm definitely an outlier and would still tell you to play it for yourself as clearly most are rather enamored with it.

I've been curious about this series for some time. What is the main draw of the series? Is it known for its story development, it's characters or just the gameplay?
Wtf, that comment surprised me. I remember being impressed with the games graphics when it came out. Seemed to have a strong Shadow Hearts vibe (awesome PS2 series for you youngsters).
I never had any problems with it. Have you upgraded your hard drive?Anybody play Killzone 2? It's got some really annoying freezes where I guess it's pre-loading areas as you progress through levels. I seem to have come across an area in The Bridge that hard freezes and never comes back.
Gameplay. There's waifus to be had and a fairly minimal story in the ones I've played, but the gameplay is definitely the focus.
Nope, it's the stock drive. I haven't had problems with any other games, though admittedly it's been a month or so since I played a game using the disc drive so that could potentially be the problem. I cleaned the disc off pretty well last night and will test it tonight. Hopefully that resolves the issue.
