Biased list. BRB making list of every PS3 game released since launch, review embargo date, metacritic score, Polygon score, copies sold, and how many "Let's Play"s exist for each game on Youtube.

I'm pretty sure the majority of PSN/XBLA releases that I've reviewed had launch day embargoes. That includes Wipeout HD, PixelJunk Eden, echochrome, etc., so it doesn't really say a single thing about the quality of the games unless your intent is to troll and spread FUD. Very few digital releases let reviews out early.

Certainly. The best reviewed game of this generation had an embargo, but even it still ended a day before release. It's different, anyway, because a lot of big title reviews are held back to discourage publications from rushing.

Fair enough, that probably has something to do it with since they want critical hype to coincide with availability. It's interesting, though, that some digital releases are exempt from this practice. It also doesn't account for the retail releases I mentioned.

I played it for review myself and thoroughly enjoyed it, giving it a 9.5.

 
oh nice, im definitely picking up Mamorokun Curse. never got around to it when it launched. i'll probably grab zeno clash 2, that looked like a pretty crazy game.

anyone here play edf for vita? i played the ps3 one and it was fun for the first 8 hours and after that was a grinding bore fest. i really liked the feel it gave at first though. how is this one compared?

And yeah, I'm skipping Valhalla Knights.

Well I just placed a preorder for a 64gb card. I checked my download list and I can actually put every single playable game I have on my Vita (including the bubble limit). Anyone else planning on doing this?

 
So the temple level in Spelunky is super crap. I can make it through the first three areas in one go, and I get to the temple with like 6 hearts. Then I just die by the second level. People on YouTube just run through it like nothing.

didnt it launch at $20? i decided to skip it even for $7.50 after reading some reviews. i did buy that skydive game for some reason though. it looks like a mix of SSX and burnout or something. i dunno, i probably shouldnt have bought it but whatever.

 
Holy fuckin shit, the Kingdom Hearts camera is ridiculous.  I know this isn't the right thread for it, but I'm at this boss fight and it's infuriating me.

 
I think it's improved over the original version too. It used to be really touchy and you had to use the shoulder buttons to rotate.

Loved KoA and wish my save file wasn't on 360 as there's too much else to play to start over with it on PS3. To me, it's like a best of western RPGs: the good parts of Skyrim, Fable, and Dragon Age in one game.

Another bust week for sales but I'm getting Kung Fu Rabbit for some reason. This is a pretty nice review of it: http://gamestyle.com/review/kung-fu-rabbit-review/ I guess I'm in Vita mode until November 15.
 
Kung Fu Rabbit kind of reminded me of another little mobile platformer, Little Acorns.  I've heard the levels get a little bit tougher as you go on, but the first world was rather easy.  Still, for $2.49, I won't regret buying it.

 
What's with the last two table packs for Pinball Arcade not having trophies. Usually with each new table comes 3 new trophies, but the last two table packs have brought bupkis.

I played it on the xbox and it is a real grind fest if you're the type to 100%. Like Jay said, it is long, 250+ hours long.

Though I'm still getting it since grinding is my specialty.

I played the demo for a few minutes last night. It didn't really seem like something I would like.

They hit the trophy limit for PSN games, which is apparently 96 trophies. They've been trying to get Sony to make an exception, but the answer has been "no" for months. We have to wait for the PS4 release for more trophies.

If you are a big fan of the series then I highly recommend getting the game. It's pretty much the original EDF game with new weapons and a new character. The new character alone makes the game feel fresh and new since she can essentially fly. Bought it day one and have no regrets since I'm also a huge fan of the series. Having it digital only isn't so bad as it saves me from carrying another small cart that can easily be lost.

Does Muramasa Rebirth pick up at all? I don't know I'm probably only about an hour in and the game is gorgeous but it feels a little repetitive already. I'm wondering if I should pick up EDF as well. I've never played the original. $15 seems like a decent enough price for it though. I'm already $32 in to getting $10 back so this would put me close to that.

This probably sums it up the best:

For those of you who not yet familiar with Atomic Ninjas, it’s a hilarious, 2.5D platformer with a focus on multiplayer matches, both online and local. But single-player mode is also present, including vicious ninja-bots!

It's a shame I'd probably be in if it had a story mode or something.

So the temple level in Spelunky is super crap. I can make it through the first three areas in one go, and I get to the temple with like 6 hearts. Then I just die by the second level. People on YouTube just run through it like nothing.



The Temple is tough, but with practice you'll get better at it. You really need bombs and glue, so using the Temple shortcut is very difficult. It is good for learning what obstacles are there for you, though.
 
Does anyone know if the Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune games have been cheaper and if so how much?  Tempted on either the duo pack or the Ultimate Editions since they have decent reviews and I enjoyed both games on PS2.
