Might have to get Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable.  Has that game been lower than $15 in the past?

There are plenty of digital games I want for this spend $50 get $10 back.  The problem is it will just add to my backlog.  I think I'll just pick up whatever is on sale during this promotion, to stop myself.

No. Here are links to the prior sales as proof:

Does anyone know if the Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune games have been cheaper and if so how much? Tempted on either the duo pack or the Ultimate Editions since they have decent reviews and I enjoyed both games on PS2.
They've never been on sale on PSN. To be clear, these are completely new versions released by THQ last year. Giant Bomb did a great quick look of both games:

Thanks for the info. I knew they were not the same as the PS2 ones, but I incorrectly assumed they were the same as the physical versions. I see they are not now since the physical ones were THQ and these are Ubisoft. The disc version has a multiple choice Jeopardy mechanic, the PSN one has a full type out the answer mode. Not sure which one I prefer, but likely might just get the disc versions eventually.

its a pretty tough sell at $20, but anyone that liked SSX and wants that mixed with some Burnout style highspeed reckless nonsense should definitely watch for a sale on Skydive: Proximity Flight. its really fun so far.

Speaking of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, the OP lists the Wheel of Fortune + Jeopardy bundle at $19.59 (for PS+), but the store has the price as $27.59 (for PS+).  The non-PS+ price in both the OP and store is the same at $34.49.

So I was trying out the new "hiding trophies" feature, but I realized it's still not implemented ideally.  I was going to go through and hide all my 0% trophy percentages, most of which come from used games I've bought and plugged in to make sure they worked, but didn't play for more than a couple minutes. But once I hide them, there going to stay hidden unless I unhide them, which I won't remember to do when I actually play the game.

For example, I have a 0% on Bioshock Infinite.  I want to hide that 0%, but when I actually start playing the game and earning trophies they won't show up to others or trophy tracking sites unless I unhide them.  If I don't start playing it til 6 months down the line, no way I'll remember that I hid them previously and they need to be unhidden.

Seems like a cool idea, but Xbox Live still works better in this area (on Xbox you can completely delete your 0% games from your play history, but they'll pop right back up next time you play the game).

Anyways, kind of just thinking out loud here.

Tyler, true, although you could make it your new routine to check with each game or just periodically go through the list and make it's showing up correctly.

I'm really tempted by EDF Vita, even though I never spend $15 for digital. They got me by not making it retail because it's the only way I'm going to play it.

Also, I know everyone thinks P4G is awesome, but if I know I will only get through 15-20 hours or so of it will I still think so? What's the combat system like? I usually prefer western RPGs but this one is really tempting me.

Sold! Thank you for taking the time to find this information of EDF2017P.

I so need to figure out how to find specific information in threads.

I take it you just go to "Advanced Search" and fill out the boxes.

Now I just need to spend $35 more on sale items, going to hold out for the next weeks to come.
All you just need to do is bring up that thread and at the top of the page, type in the game's name that you want to search for to check if it's been on sale in the past six years. Then just use ctrl+f to move between all instances of the game's title quickly.

Just don't hide the games that you plan on playing again.

This is not exactly accurate. The disk version had the type out on Jeopardy. It was only that way on Hard though. Lower difficulties had the multiple choice. It looks the exact same as the disk version to me.

Also, I am pretty sure they were on sale once before. When the THQ sale happened a while back right after they went bankrupt. It was the first I remember seeing the dual pack. I was going to sell my copy of WoF to a friend, but I saw the pack on sale and told him about it. He got it instead.

Anybody have an idea on the odds of Jeanne D'Arc ever going on sale digitally? I realize it dropped from $23 to $15 six months ago, but I can't find anything about it ever going on sale, nor has it been a PS+ title. $15 is a bit steep for a PSP game so I'm leery of paying that much for it, but OTOH it's easily one of the games I most want to play on my Vita.

Yeah, that's what I did. But I probably have about 30 0% games, but I was only able to hide about 6 of them because the rest will be played eventually.
Well, if you're particular about what shows up on your list, maybe do your disc tests under a dummy user? I don't think you even need to create a PSN account.

I'm not sure if I should grab EDF or not for $15. It's cheap enough but I wonder if I'd get to it before it either going cheaper or it coming to PLUS or something. I know real world problems. LOL.

So has anyone else been having a ton of trouble with Hitman Absolution? It keeps crashing during load screens, audio skipping, looking at the XMB loads indefinitely, and restarting after it freezes corrupts the save file. :bomb:

Looks like The Wolf Among Us should be out sometime this month along with Season Two of The Walking Dead as Telltale is talking about revealing dates and more information in the coming days and weeks.

I'd put it closer to 0% than 100%. They had permanent price drops for pretty much all of their PSP games to put them in a decent position to get Vita owners interested in that stuff to jump on them. The only PSP games to really wait for sales on them are Atlus, Sega, and Xseed games since those go on sale the most often.

remember this is one of the games where you need a PS3 then transfer to the vita isnt it. Wont run on vita alone.

I want it too but refuse to pay 15 bucks for a game i have on the PSP just to play it on the vita. (though i would rebuy at 5)

FATE/EXTRA is another game i want own it on the psp but love to have it on my vita but will never pay 15

Wolf Among Us hell might even come out this coming Tuesday the store page just went up on Steam today.

I know. That's why I felt the need to mention it, though the lack of a release date on the Steam page tells me that it's probably not out next week. Telltale's episodes typically come in hot from announcement to release, but usually not the first game of a season/series.

I bought a new 32GB memory card from Best Buy, and sold one of my 16GB cards on ebay.  Before selling it, I assume I should just reformat the card, right?  Is there anything else I need to do so it doesn't cause any issues for the buyer?  Obviously I'll back all my own saved data as well.

Doesn't a memory card auto format when you put it in a different Vita? I thought they were like Vita games where the saved data doesn't transfer to another device.

I beat Olmec in Spelunky! Woohoo! And finally. 1062 plays. 1061 deaths. :) And still I need to get to and through Hell and/or improve time/money. Such an amazingly great game. I can't wait until we get the Daily Challenge.

That time won't win any awards. LOL.

Congrats! I can't make it through the temple. First three areas, no problem. Temple ruins my run every time. I've started with 5-6 hearts and always get wrecked by the second level.

Stay away from those sliding blocks, avoid or glue bomb the big guys, open path with bombs if needed. Ideally have the compass. But yes it's tough. In my win I had glue, spring and spike boots, compass and climbing gloves as well as plenty of bombs and enough rope. Keep trying, you'll get there!

Does anyone know if the Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune games have been cheaper and if so how much? Tempted on either the duo pack or the Ultimate Editions since they have decent reviews and I enjoyed both games on PS2.
The bundle pack for the base games was cheapest from 3-19-13 to 3-25-13 at 24.99.

FWIW, I'm close to platting both base games and I don't ever recall seeing repeat puzzles, so I don't know how much good the DLC would do you. But for only a couple bucks more than the cheapest sale price I'd say go for this current bundle if you're interested. :)

Yeah, I just got a PS3 a few weeks ago, which is why I'm actually looking at it now. I've had a Vita for a while now, and had it hacked at one point. Played the opening few maps of Jeanne D'Arc and really liked it. I've never played it otherwise, but $15 is still pretty high since I'm such a cheap bastard.

Just a heads-up: Even though FATE/UNLIMITED is no longer on PSN you can still buy it elsewhere (Gamestop has it) and redeem the code on PSN.

Good to know, thanks. I've got a $5 credit from something on PSN so I'll probably just go ahead and buy it. It's a good time with the October deal anyway.

Really wish there'd be a FF sale. I'd love to get the rest of the way to $50 with the FF games I'm missing.

Reminds me I need to go and finish up The Walking Dead. I only finished the first Chapter and started on 2. I've been trying to clear out my physical backlog though before my digital one.

I have been juggling two 16gb vita cards. Just got a 32 and started going through my download list. Once everything was done 24 hrs later, I looked and was a little overwhelmed with how many games I accumulated! Games from previous sales that I deleted. Anyhow I purchased EDF and Kung Fu Rabbit. On a side note, does anyone know if all our digital purchases will be available for download on the PS4 or is it better to just keep the slim for play?

No details have been announced yet for how Gaikai will work. They have said that they'll add quite a few games at first and the continue to add more, but how complete that library will be, and how well it works, is anybody's guess at this point.

Sony's now offering a one month PS+ sub option for $9.99 on the PS Store. There's no reason to get it since three months is less than twice the price of one month, but options are still good. The PS+ section of the PS Store also mentions that Driveclub, at least some version of it, will be available for PS+ at launch.

The Battlefield 4 beta is now live for everybody.

yea i got like 3o or 40 games on my 32 gb card what is almost filled. tempted to buy another 32 gb but i think i just delete and redownload. uncharted, wipeout and rush would give me i think close to 6 to 8 GB back

So it is not surprising news but it is at least confirmation that many of the games offered on PS+ are the result of Sony paying for them. No numbers were given but I would guess they are partly based on # of new subs or renewals for games with a one month window.

The confirmation from Sony is new, I guess. But we've heard from developers plenty of times that they get money for putting their games on PS+. It's also kind of just common sense.

Tomorrow Sony will be confirming that water is wet.

I don't ever read Shack News. Seeing how insightful and revealing this article is, I see I haven't been missing much...

I actually do enjoy Andrew Yoon on Weekend Confirmed. He seems like he would be a decent writer, so I don't know if this article was the result of a slow news day or if this was meant to be a much more in-depth article that got chopped for some reason.

I think I asked this a few pages back but I fell behind on the thread.  I have KoA for the 360 but havent started it yet.  Are there any major differences between the 2 console versions?  Thinking about trading in my 360 copy to get a little more PS4 credit.

ARGH!!!  My PS3 just died on me.  Now I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place since my boy and me have been playing Disney Infinity together on it.  Broke my heart when I told him it was broken.  My PS4 preorder is now in jeopardy... not sure if I can swing buying both systems.

DAMN YOU PS4 AND YOUR LACK OF BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY!!!!
