I plat'd it on pS3 and still bought it for PS4 last time it was on sale.

It's not really all that much like Yakuza. It's more... a GTA with a focus on melee combat. It's really fun. Also you can jump from car to car... so it plays very much like a hong kong action flick.

Yakuza is melee centric too, I suppose, but in a very different way.

No, Square Enix forced them to make a free to play spin-off instead of the sequel the developers proposed before the Xbox One and PS4 came out. Square Enix essentially doomed them by having them join the free to play craze when the interest in the IP was for a sequel.

World of Final Fantasy is 20 on the Vita and 30 on PS4.

I know sometimes crazy things happen and the game is cross buy even if you buy the cheaper one.

Any iota (or atoi) of a chance this would be the case?

 
I've tried looking it up, but can't find any direct answers. If I buy a $16 game on the store using Paypal, will it put $20 into my PSN wallet, or will it just take the $16?

they have a 5$ minimum but at that price should just take from the wallet and charge the rest if I'm understanding correctly

None whatsoever. Only indies are ever crossbuy anymore. (a few Sony retail games like Sly 4 were crossbuy once upon a time but Sony doesn't put out any games for Vita)

Too bad I never get those emails lol, 20% off would've been nice. I'm only spending $40 or so though so not that big a deal. There are more things I could get but pretty sure will be on sale again by the time I would play them.

Is the dlc integrated into the main game or is it its own thing? I have the base game but only played about 5 hours before quitting (not because I wasn't enjoying the game, I just realized it was going to be a big commitment so I wanted to hold off on playing it then.) Not sure if I should buy it before I try to get back into the game or not.

The 20% code from the email says is expires on 12/25.  Does that mean I can still use it on 12/25 or that I need to use it on 12/24 at the latest?

I'd highly, highly recommend getting it for PC possibly. It just controls a lot better. It does get a bit repetitive, but honestly CoD WW2 became more repetitive quicker on. They both have cosmetic loot box things, but I think Overwatch is just the better game. Also helps with the arcade modes and random heroes is awesome.

If you have to choose between Knack 2 and Yooka Laylee, go with Knack. It's a solid, fun little game while the controls and camera were pretty bad in Yooka Laylee when I played it. I haven't gone back to it since they patched it though so hopefully it's improved.

I listened to some podcasts and they convinced me I should pick up Overwatch despite not liking competitive games. The game is extremely well made, and I don't have a single complaint about the game. With that said, it didn't overcome my dislike for competitive shooters, so I only played for about 3 weeks before quitting indefinitely.

Wasn't too upset that I hadn't gotten a 20% code, as I completed all the steps for the 15% code via Sony Rewards about a week ago, but of course that hasn't actually come through, and some of the stuff I was planning on getting with the code is going off sale on 12/26, and I'm sure there's no one working Sony support this weekend. Oh well, there'll always be another sale.

PSN has been known to go down on Christmas. It might be prudent to make purchases, particularly if using the 20% off coupon, sooner rather than later.

Freaking amazing. As with all digital purchases though, I end up feeling a little empty because I love to have a little "jewel" case as a trophy of my purchase. It never feels the same when it's floating up there in the cloud.
 
But anyway, thank you again for that 20% off code! I knocked all the expensive games off my list (Hellblade, check!) and I'm still left with about 25 to choose from in the under $6 range.

The biggest reason not to is 'time'. It's 40+ hours to finish, 60-80 if you're a completionist. It's a good game, but for me,it always comes down to the size of your backlog and how realistic it is you'll actually find time to play it.
 
20% off...? Where did this coupon come from? Email? Cause I sure could use that. >.< Already spent 50$ on Future Tone. Wouldnt mind grabbing FF9 with the extra % off. Just need to know maybe where to look. 

Edit: Just checked.. nothing in email... sigh... nothing in junk either. Just never got one from PSN.

30% off really isn't that great of a deal. The game has a good chance of being even cheaper at some point in the future, especially during the annual Final Fantasy sale since it's now been out for a bit. It all comes down to how many games you have to play. I own all of the Final Fantasy games and honestly, it was a mistake getting them at the time. It takes forever to finish one and playing FF kind of interferes with playing anything else due to the time commitment (and just needing to remember where you need to go and what you need to do without other games distracting you). If you desperately need it, then by all means get it, but it will be on sale again for at least this price and more likely a bigger discount. You can wait and it will still be there.

I guess I'm not going for the votes (but you can give them if you all want). Just trying to help people with my own mistakes.

And I guess I actually could use the 20% off since the stuff I'm buying isn't on sale (Santa for some reason, is going to hack my PSN and buy my kids Loco Roco and Minecraft)

Addendum: FF7 has been on sale at 50% off three times this year with PS+.

FFX/X-2 was on sale at 50% off four times in the past two years with PS+, and is now on 50% off the lowered price (to 12.49) currently.

So, in theory (THEORY MIND YOU), FF9 will be on sale for 50% of 20.99 at some point which would be 10.49 (and the regular price could also be lowered at some point)

Join the club my friend. It would make me feel good to know that it's randomly awarded but I never get Sony emails.

Correct that, Sony tells me that they have new cameras for me to buy. But nothing about PSN.
