The Last of Us Remastered PS4 - $50 Psn store

Price drop?

I hope so, ordered from Dell for the $25 gift card promo. Saw the deal thread that BBY adjusted their price to $49.99/$39.99 GCU and was about to switch to that. Now here is hoping Dell adjusts and the promo remains.

Yes the chapter that decided to be a bad Descent clone (and I never much cared for Descent). Guess they can't all be winners.

I do love the way they paced the game overall though. The chapters have felt like just the right length (aside from that one), the buffer chapters where there's little or no shooting are a nice change of pace with little to no shooting, and the story moments seem well balanced against the action. That's been the biggest (pleasant) surprise for me with Wolfenstein which going in mostly blind, other than hearing it was surprisingly good, when I would have expected a non-stop kill fest.

Though I can live without seeing that one chick's mutilated face again.

Now hopefully I can get through at least chapter 11 before going to bed, finish up the game and get the plat tomorrow and trade it in to BBY before they close. Going to have to take my kid to the park for like two hours in the morning so she takes a three hour nap so I have time. :whee:
I'm taking the kids for a early morning hike before it gets too hot out ( nothing worse than carrying a four year up a hill) and hit and then hit up BBY to trade WD and get into some gaming after that. Eldritch, will this be your 4-5th platinum? Last I remember was Tearaway.

Held off on Papers, Please from the Steam sale (2.99). Might regret it but I'm hoping a PSN port materializes.  I am loving Terraria, btw. Great and highly ADDICTIVE game. Something so satisfying about exploring. It's like the fun version of Spelunky.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/06/21/resogun-update-out-tomorrow-ship-editor-local-co-op-more-trophies/

Resogun has a new update coming tomorrow that adds a ship editor with online sharing, local co-op, more trophies beyond the set that comes with the new DLC pack next week, and a Hall of Fame leaderboard of the best current scores since they're fixing exploits and wiping the main leaderboards leading up to the new DLC.
Great, there goes my 100% Resogun trophy acquisition on PSNTrophies... :???:

Guys! I'm finally gonna trade in my Vita today, yay!

And... I bought Sorcery Saga last night. Haven't played it yet. I decided I'd rather support it on the hopes I might like it than not.

I've actually been putting all my time into HStennis though. It's actually getting legitimately hard at times now, which is awesome. I'm so ridiculously buried in vita games. Dead system my ass. My other consoles wish they got as much love as my vita while sitting lonely on their shelves.

Two unrelated questions:

1) What's the best way to recoup my 3ds XL costs? I have an essentially unused system (5-10 hours, tops) bought at black friday prices. Amazon? Ebay? I've never sold a console before so I don't have a strategy like i do with games.

2) Is there any place on the ps4 store to download upcoming game trailers? I used to do it on my ps3 all the time but wanted to grab some last night and couldn't find any.

We have some Reese's Peanut Butter Cup ones right now. The rice crispy ones are the best.
oh, i forgot the one really odd flavor i keep seeing (besides raspberry, i guess). all the stores around us have 'birthday cake' oreos. I haven't tried them, I don't know anyone with a birthday coming up either. The nice thing about reese's peanut butter cup ones is that i have no doubt i could convince my wife we need to try them.

Oh yeah. It was the cookie dough ones that tasted like gross coffee

I wasn't a huge fan of the rice krispee ones now that my memory is back, but they weren't horrible.

The birthday cakes ones are decent and a coworker said the watermelon ones are pretty good.
Watermelon Oreos?

We truly are in end times.

This just makes me wonder if downloading trailers clutters up your download list even further. Goddamn Sony.

Start playing it ya jerk.

Makes sense. Can't leave the house, so why would you need anything but the home consoles?
To be able to play all of the vita games you get from plus? I don't travel for shit but the vita is damn near the top of my want list. Having an instant library of 50 games out of the box is quite a selling point.

I've taken my Vita out of the house maybe 5 times since launch. I love the system and have 42 physical games and the PS+ stuff. I already have a extra brand new one for backup that I scored really cheap. I always laugh when someone says the Vita has no games.

I'm in the same boat. still haven't figured out what to do with it. the fees will be a huge drag so I thought I'd shoot for craigslist, but there's just so many crap listings for them already at low low prices and I've had some bad cl luck lately.

I really think I'd be way more in to the 3ds as an old school Nintendo emulator if purchases were tied to an account instead of a system. what an odd decision on their part.

I think the initial UI for the PS4 must be designed only for 'year 1' or so. It's great when there aren't many games and makes it feel fuller, but obviously wouldn't work for a library of any size. They have to know that; I mean, they're high paid ui designers and it's simple to see it can't sustain a large collection. One can hope, at least. Then again, i never really considered my ps3 interface capable of handling my large library (folders were okay, but that slowdown was terrible). Only the vita interface solidly deals with a large collection - not only is my vita beautifully organized, but it's just as fast and fluid as if i had 1 game on it.

Start playing it ya jerk.
Honestly... i bought the 3ds because i really wanted a solid handful of titles. but now that i have it, i just don't have the desire to dust it off.

-the few games I know i want are too expensive on the 3ds. (smt games, etrian games... i just checked, they've finally dropped down to low 20s used... but still).

-i'm generally addicted to a vita game at any given point in time.

-i sold my only game, fire emblem for a big profit

-i don't like the display, or the feel of it

-i hate to say it... trophies. don't get me wrong, i'm playing a psp game right now w/o trophies. but it's hard to deny i like feeling 'finished' with a game by getting the plat. as i'm playing hot shots tennis, i'm thinking about how nice it would be to get a trophy for fully leveling my team, etc.

not to mention, for my gaming habits, vita just fits me perfectly. I've got srpgs galore (psp, sure, but quite a few vita too), tons of dual stick arcade games, other indies, killzones, etc. I don't like any nintendo franchise except for fire emblem.

I've probably got about 4 years of vita gaming already pre-bought due to sales (I could probably come close to filling a 128). I just don't need another handheld. And I don't follow nintendo news, so i'm never 'hyped' for any upcoming games. whereas with vita, there are around 20 upcoming games i 'need' (natural doctrine, son of scorgasm, frozen synapse, galak-z, freedom wars, grim fandango, etc)

vita and me mesh perfectly. i'm clearly not in the 3ds demographic, so I might as well sell it rather than spend $30-40 on another game i'll barely play due to playing my vita instead.

I do 95% of my home gaming on my vita, and I own a shiny ps4. The vita is the perfect console for a father. Bonus points for making plane rides easy, sitting in the car while the wife goes in a store easy, etc. At home the only 'gaming tv' time i have is after 11pm when everyone else is asleep... but half the time I'm asleep too nowadays because I've been waking up early to work out (i used to game to 4am regularly, not easy anymore).

I've said this before, but they did not market the vita right. it's great for:
- dads
- playing while someone else is watching tv
- commutes
- remote play

it makes less sense for:
- anyone that has constant access to a tv
- people that prefer the 3ds library
- someone that literally expects a handheld ps3

I bet I've put 700 or more hours in to my vita since I got it. that's probably more than I've put in to my ps3/4 combined.

Amazon and Ebay will charge you quite a bit on fees, I sold my XL in December on Ebay for $170 and lost about $30 in fees. You could try Craigslist, just bring a friend with you when you meet, preferably in a police station.

Going for my 5th. After Tearaway got Walking Dead S1, Infamous Second Son, and God of War. If I mange to get it that will be three plats in under a month. I'll practically be rpg!

Amazon and eBay are only like $16-17 at that price point, it's the shipping that takes it up to like $30 cost. The worst part is that the package is like a quarter inch from being able to fit into a flat rate box that costs like $6 to ship.

But I have my wii u gamepad so I can play that while im in bed. 95% of the games for vita is on steam, ps3 or ps4 anyway. Screw you Sony for making another ps move -_-
I really wish the Vita was larger like the WiiU game pad. The size of the WiiU gamepad seems so ideal for my use case. I know that would make it very impractical for portability, but I don't use it on the go. I use it only around the house. The more I use the Vita the less comfortable I am with the size (ergonomically speaking). I have three different grips for it and still can't get used to it and i've had it for quite awhile.

I'd love to see a Vita2 that's bigger (and more ergonomical) and more powerful, but I doubt Sony has any future plans for the Vita brand other than just trying to keep it somewhat profitable for the next few years.

I think that the Vita size is near perfect. Instead I would like the WiiU gamepad to have a larger range from the system so I could play it in bed.

Terraria was pretty awesome. Something about the 2D made it a million times better than Minecraft for me.

You forgot about easy trophies. I added it for you.

You guys want to know how awesome I am? As if I had to further prove it, anyway.

HotTub.jpg

There used to be a cracked, non working hot tub that the previous owners of the house left there. And then I sawed the shit out of it and hauled it away. Oh, and the picnic table you can barely see to the right I built with my own two hands, without any plans.

While I think it's unlikely Sony will make another handheld marketed as a handheld, I could see them eventually making some sort of dedicated remote play device. All triggers, R3/L3, etc. Supports PSnow, vita, etc. All digital. No promise of 'dedicated' games, though any new vita games would be supported.

I think this unlikely... but I could see a market for it. Basically, just a device that absolutely embraces remote play (be it ps4 or psnow). I only see this as a real possibility if PSNow takes off, and I see them waiting till wireless connectivity matures another 5 years or so.

Again, very unlikely... but sony does like to create new devices and the idea of using some portable device to play ps1 through ps4/5 games 'anywhere' has at least some merit. Then again, I suppose vita can already theoretically do this with psnow and a good connection.

... perhaps if the combination of remote play and minecraft revive vita sales somehow, lol.

So before you had a hot tub, now you have an ugly brown spot.

What part of this am I supposed to find awesome?
The fact that I sawed the shit up and was awesome. And also, in a few weeks we'll be digging up that section, and making the brown spot larger so we can put a patio in. You'll probably hate that too because you're an asshole.
