I just want to check.  The digital PS4 Lego Batman 3 with the full season pass is a really good deal, right? Or at least compared with buying it physical.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/01/20/playstation-stores-top-downloads-of-2015/

December and 2015's PSN Top Sellers.

For December, Final Fantasy VII took the #3 spot on PS4 and Rocket League got the #8 spot. Yakuza 5 was #5 on PS3. Rocket League had two of the top 10 PS4 Add-ons for the month at #2 and #10. Call of Duty: Black Ops II took the top five spots for PS3 Add-ons. Bastion was #1 for Vita with Nuclear Throne at #5 and Duke Nukem at #10. As for PS1/PS2 games, Dark Cloud and Rogue Galaxy were near the top at #2 and #4, respectively.

For all of 2015, Black Ops III was #1 on PS4, GTA V at #2, and Minecraft at #3. Rocket League was the only self-published game on PS4 at #15. Minecraft took the #1 spot on PS3. Destiny: The Taken King was the top PS4 Add-on of 2015. Activision owned all 10 spots for top PS3 Add-ons with eight being Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Black Ops II packs and the rest being the first two Destiny expansions. Vita's top game of 2015 was Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment. The top PS1/PS2 game was GTA San Andreas with Final Fantasy VII at #4.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/01/20/frenetic-twin-stick-shooter-neurovoider-coming-to-ps4/

NeuroVoider is coming to PS4 later this year. Looks to be a dual-stick shooter with RPG and roguelike mechanics mixed in. There are some gifs in the post if you want to see it in action.

Horror game Layers of Fear is out on PS4 on 2/16.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/01/20/prison-architect-coming-to-ps4-this-spring/

Prison Architect is coming to PS4 this spring with the help of Double Eleven, who helped with the PixelJunk and Nom Nom Galaxy ports to PS and/or Vita. It'll be interesting to see how that game translates to a controller since it's a prison tycoon/sim game.

Just got a beta code for The Tomorrow Children.  Unfortunately it's all of 3-4 hours at a time on 3 days.  One of which is tonight from 3-7 AM...

Just did a quick check.

Apparently The MKX Kombat Pass #1 is $10.00 Now.

Its not advertised as part of the WB Sale, and it shows no date of exp. in the description.

Must be a permanent Price Drop.

Should add it to the main post. (For people like me who been waiting forever for a price drop lol).

Don't forget to use a guide for picture taking and georama building...or at least the picture taking. Also invention guide. These are very hard to do on your own otherwise....just my 2 cents of course.

Also remember you can take pictures during battle...essential for a few inventions (mainly weapons).

I have my PS2 disk somewhere....may try before I buy since it's been so long.
Yea I still have my PS2 disk as well.

Does it come with Goro?

Also, supposedly WB has dropped all support for the PC version.
The PC version will not get Season 2, or the new robust net code.

Not sure.

I received Goro with my preorder.

But since it doesnt come with all the costumes released, im assuming no.

EDIT-

Also, it looks like the "XL" edition wont come with Goro or some of the Costume packs either that arent part of the Kombat Pass.

We'll have to wait and see.

"In addition to the core Mortal Kombat X experience, all of the previously released downloadable content from the original Kombat Pack, as well as the upcoming Kombat Pack 2 will be included."

Warner Bros. has now official announced the Mortal Kombat XL Edition. In addition to all characters from Kombat Pack 1 and Kombat Pack 2 (and Goro), it comes with the Apocalypse Skin Pack, as well as the Brazil Skin Pack, Kold War Skin Pack, Kold War Scorpion Skin, and Samurai Skin Pack

You could always buy the Nyko Expansion bay which sells for around 40-50 bucks which allows your to use 3.5 inch drives which would allow you to use all the way up to 5TB HDDs
I grabbed one from AWD for $22 and an open box 3TB HD for $45. For $70, I've got more space than I'll ever really need.

The other reason Sony opts for SATA over USB is probably that SATA is -much- faster than USB for read speeds.

If you've been having trouble with PSM activations on your Vita since the service was closed, the new firmware update lets you reactivate your system.

I completely forgot about that and changed store regions on mine a couple of weeks ago, glad I can turn it back now.

We expecting to see a Flash sale this weekend? If so, will that start today or tomorrow? Around what time? Thanks.
I think most of the flash sales start on friday... so if it does, you'd see it tomorrow... 12pm EST i think? It's that or 5PM EST... someone can answer the time for you.

Yes this weekend. We had a game sale post by a dev that confirmed it, but it also fits the historical data. Flash Sales in most cases seem to start later in the day than regular sales. So don't expect anything until around 5pm EST.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/01/21/republique-launches-on-ps4-march-22nd/

Republique will be out for PS4 on March 22. They've rebuilt the game for the DS4 to be more direct control like MGS and have a Kat (Gravity Rush) outfit for Hope. Lots of details on the work that went into the overhaul in the post.

Wondershot is coming to PS4 sometime in the next few months.

So what was going on with this site for the past few days? It kept saying there was some diddler on the loose.

Any way, going to start TW3 and it looks like it is a 60 hour game.

Post #6208 in this thread. Alpha-Strider posted a link to the twitter for Future Labs confirming Velocity 2X would be on sale this coming weekend. Looking at the post on twitter it states Friday 1/22 to Monday 1/25 which fits perfectly with the long standing practice of Flash Sales.

Here's the link he posted.

That's about as concrete a confirmation as we have gotten on a flash sale in a while. Most of the time they are hush hush until the afternoon when they go live.

Yea, I'm not really digging the game.

I've been finding the chests with health up but still feel so weak by the 2nd chapter.. and yes I've upgraded my weapons.

Yes, I'm playing GTA III on my vita tv... does anyone know if the performance would improve if i use a 5ghz adapter for my ps tv instead of the ps vita tv's built in wifi?? My Steam link works flawlessly... I coudn't believe it.
My steam Link works flawlessly wired, but is pretty spotty over Wi-Fi. My PSTV is okay over a wired signal but impossible to use to remote play over Wi-Fi. Would definitely recommend you go wired for both the Steam Link and the PsTV

It could be nostalgia as always. Nostalgia is a b****. I know that playing GOG games of games I remember were amazing, like Tyrian, and playing them again and they're good but not great. I'm  afraid of the same playing Dark Cloud 2 since I quite liked it a lot at the time except for the invention/picture/georama system which got very hard to do without a guide.

I feel the same way about many TV shows. I watch some and think they are timeless but then later when it comes time to re-watch them... they just don't hold up or I just don't find myself excited to watch them. Other shows though just seem to bring the smiles and same great feelings year after year. Psych, for instance, I've been rewatching lately and it's just as good today as it was when it aired. The 1970's spiderman? Nah, I watched one episode and just couldn't watch any more. It was a nice little nostalgic trip but not worth it in the long run. The Incredible Hulk? OK now that was actually pretty good. Same for Magnum PI, The A-Team, MacGyver and other old shows. But Airwolf? I loved that in the day but just can't watch it. SeaQuest DSV I have no desire to re-experience it, but it was fun back in the day.

Games are the same way. Some are great to replay, some show their age and end up more tedious than they are worth. To me, that's where I find more about myself and what I like along with what games are actually of excellent quality (at least IMO). It doesn't mean the once & done games are bad but that they sometimes just don't hold up over time. I loved playing Goldeneye with family and friends on the N64, but would I play it today? Nah. It feels too simplistic now and the graphics give me a headache. Sort of like the original Wolfenstein or Doom (or Hexen and Heratic for that matter). Great games in their time... but man I can't go back to them without the games being at least updated from their basic raycasting engines or my brain is going to hurt.

Yeah I mean I love older games but you can tell the really good ones. You know it's crazy but my sister and I played within the last few months Gauntlet 2 on the NES 2 player. It was still fun as heck. Then I played an Apogee game....forget the name but it had a guy with a sword....game was hard as hell and didn't feel that great. I stopped playing after an hour of failing jumps and not being able to get to level 2.

I think it does give a really good idea of the type of gamer you are now versus then. It also depends on when you played them. Heck even back then when I played FF Origins I knew I got bored to heck of both games in the collection. They both felt tedious and boring, and I know way back when people loved FF1.

I kind of look at it kind of like an old friend or girlfriend or something. May have been way awesome at the time but after time passes you notice the flaws and annoyances and maybe it wasn't as good as we made it out to be.

I tried watching Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors a couple years ago. OMG, I could barely get through the first episode.

The old Addams Family aged quite well though, imo.

I loved FF1 on the NES. I got it and Dragon Warrior the same day from a rental shop near my house when I was a teen. I loved them both to pieces. Especially Dragon Warrior II. I remember being amped to play the GBA ports of FF I&II and I didn't make it far in before I questioned my very memory of the experience. I was bored out of my mind! Dragon Warrior at least sort of held up as an rpg ... but it's easy to see how what was so fresh and amazing back in the day seems so basic now and how some of the grinding aspect isn't as fun as it once was.

Still, I love going back to old games... it's great to find the ones that do hold up and the rare ones that seem to get better with age because my brain is a lot sharper.

Just wanted to mention because it's so strange that the PS4 hard drive is actually connected to the motherboard across a usb bus. There is a digital foundry analysis which is the reason ssd hdd don't benefit the ps4. USB bus speed and no trim support for ssd. The nyko is great if your willing to deal with the sleep bugs and such.

Hypochochript > me

Friend is planning to swap out the internal hard drive.  Just a question, what do you guys do with the old internal hard drive?  I don't think he has any usage for it.  Can he sell it, how much do they usually go for and best place to sell it?

I have my old PS4 HD as a 500 gig external which I use for backup purposes. I'd recommend that route if the one you're replacing had an enclosure.

How did you set steam up on PS TV?
I didn't... what i meant was that over my same local network, via wifi, steam link stream at 1080p 60fps (which you can set up the steam link to display, that's how i know this) over my 5ghz band... however, PS4, on the same network runs ok with lag ocassionally and I think that it's because it streams over my 2.4ghz band, as it doesn't have a 5 ghz wifi card inside it. So I'm just wondering if anyone used a 5ghz adapter on their ps vita tv and noticed improvements. I would really like to know if it's my network, or if PS TV is just not that good.

I'm curious as to what this flash sale's theme will be.

Also, I always hate it when I just can't get into a game that garners universal praise.
