That ps mobile thing is the exact reason why I am stil so into physical copies of games. They just took away your purchases? Like you will no longer be able to download them?
We ALREADY can't download them anymore. After March, they're taking away the ability to activate PS Mobile on your system, which is revoked just by removing your memory card. So if you want to keep your games you can't remove your memory card, ever.

Have I mentioned fuck Sony?

is there any cross over on the days the new sale items go up? As in does the last round of sales immediately end when new stuff comes up or are both sales active for a few hours?
Maybe for a few minutes at best. They end the old stuff and put up the new things the vast majority.

Every company does this at some point. No one remembers Microsoft or Walmart doing it with their music? There's lots of other instances. It's the downside of digital. If you are that bitter about taking the risk, don't do digital.

Not a bad selection of games. I can vouch for both Broforce (pretty good) and Galak-Z (very good...love this one though the missions get very repetitive if you're doing it on rogue difficulty and you should do it on rogue difficulty). That Reality Fighters game looks like pure poop though, though it's "free" poop so I will try it out.

lmao they're not even trying anymore

fucking the last guy and sshd really
I really dont understand everyones crying and complaining about PS+. I really dont. Would it be nice to occassionally get AAA games? Yes it would, but Sony Trusts and supports indie developers of which have really become the backbone of the gameing community because indie developers actually try new things and take risks. They are innovative. Honestly when is the last damn time a major studio has tried something outside the box that was considered a AAA game? Also go compare GwG to PS+ every month and I bet you the retail prices are roughly the same. I think both services have their merit and both have their faults. But obviously sony is doing something right when they are beating MS like 3 to 1 in console sales and Microsofts ex boss or whatever came out pleading with Microsoft to bring back XBLA so I really dont get the whining and complaining. Not to mention BroForce and Galak-Z are both amazing games so just stop the whining.

PlayStation Plus: Free Games for March 2016

Full Lineup

  • Broforce, PS4
  • Flame Over, PS Vita
  • Galak-Z, PS4
  • The Last Guy, PS3
  • Reality Fighters, PS Vita
  • Super Stardust HD, PS3
I can vouch for 4 of them:

Flame Over is a surprisingly good/fun game. You're running around increasingly complex environments putting out fires -- and fire putting out feels 'right'/fun. Loved plat'ing this game.

Galak-Z -- fantastic game. Would have changed a few progression oriented things, but overall, worth my day 1 purchase.

The Last Guy -- a hidden gem of early PS3 PSN releases. Really solid game. Would make my Top 10 ps3 PSN game list.

SSHD -- It's SSHD. Easily top 5 on PS3 PSN games.

They could at least give us knack or a LEGO game. People are saying Galak-Z is good so I will try it.

Can't wait for Galak-Z personally. Was close to buying it numerous times. Just wish the Vita version wasn't cancelled.

And PS3 is dead bro, those games are its' requiem.
a) i'm not yr bro, i'm a girl :v

b) galak-z was okay but ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

lmao stop

like idk why you're so mad at people having the gall to go 'hey these PS+ games kinda suck' and so defensive about sony tossing shovelware and years-old titles and the occasional good indie at PS+ subscribers? we're paying money, we're allowed to have the opinion that yo PS+ kinda dropped off in quality since becoming required for ps4 MP

also what does ps4s outselling xbones even have to do with ps4 owners going 'hey ps+ kinda sucks now'

also also galak-z is okay but it's been on sale a number of times and broforce is kinda mediocre so going 'THESE GAMES ARE OBJECTIVELY GREAT STOP WHINING' kinda dumb

Is it possible that your opinions are just yours and might just differ from others.

Also also he provided a counterpoint to your PS3 whining. As a cag, a game being on sale doesn't negate it's worth to plus.

Also also also I feel like my $4 a month ps plus cost is justified. Well less than that cause I wouldn't pay the full $49.99.

Are you brain damaged or do you just type like a moron intentionally?

Is axiom verge actually good?

I'm curious about but I've been burned too many times by retro hipsters hyping something up to no end and it turns out to be either garbage or just another 1 out of a million other indie games trying to be like an old 8 or 16 bit game.

Been eyeballing undertale also but I hesitate for the same reasons.

I don't remember those because I hadn't heard of them.

Anyway, it's one thing to close a digital service; that's a real danger with all platforms. This is even worse; one simple and common act can render all your downloads unplayable forever, thanks to their asinine security system that they don't even care enough to patch.

Your post is trash and not really worth responding to, but just because it bothers me 'just enough' to respond, I'll point out not a single game on PS+ is remotely 'shovelware'. That word actually means someothing, and if you think any of this months games are 'shovelware', you're wrong. Maybe if we were getting those dime a dozen majhong games you'd be on to something, but games like flame over, the last guy, sshd, etc. are anything but. They're practically the polar opposite of shovelware.

And your post, by the way, is far more whiney than those you're complaining about. It's borderline unreadable, like it was written by a 12 year old whose idea of debate is 'i'm not stupid you are'.

I already own 4 of this month's games and don't care about the other 2, but big fucking deal, it was only $4 and I get far more value out of my account overall even if a couple months aren't for me.

Damn Sony should throw us a retail PS4 game like Battlefield 4, Black Flag or Infamous. Getting tired of these indie games.
No one wants that hot garbage. If Sony doesn't have Street Fighter 5 and/or Uncharted 4 for PS+ in April, I say we riot and destroy all our playstation merchandise. Who's with me?

* May be coming to a Sony HQ near you.....possibly

Great month for + and GWG both. Excited to play Galak-Z and Broforce.  Reality Fighters is the only shovelware in the lot.

Can I just say early in the year, like last year, people are upset at the free games most months. Then when the year ends, someone smarter then me has a laundry list of the amazing games we got and shuts us all up.

I'm confused about the spend $100, get $15 thing.  It says it has to come from the wallet, and someone said "so no credit card."  But, doesn't the money from the credit card go into the wallet, then get spent?  Because it's always whining at me that the minimum credit card charge is $5.

Would like to know, because I think I spent $74 or something.  I could probably spend another $26 to get $15...  But I have used my credit card the whole time.

I don't know who said that, but it doesn't matter where the money comes from. Paypal, CCs, and retail cards are all fine. You just can't get it by putting $100 in the wallet and expecting $15 to show up in your email/PM weeks later. It has to actually be spent on items on the PS Store.

Non purchased digital games don't qualify (basically if you got a digital code from Amazon/best buy/GameStop) you paid the retailer not Sony directly through the PSN store.

If you bought things in the PSN store your wallet will auto fill and charge you credit/debit card, Thus PSN money. If you buy 2 $50 PSN cards, redeem them and spend money it counts. Basically if your final purchase is through the PSN store when you click confirm it will add all purchases until you have spent $100+.

Why can't we get triple a games?
I'm done with ps plus!
Ps plus needs to be more like gwg!

I think I got them all.
I'm guessing you mean retail games, not AAA? AAA is a really stupid term for big budget games in order to demean games made on lesser budgets or production values. Looking at the GWG list, only one of those was big budget when it came out last gen and maybe Lords of the Fallen is borderline at best. If you're talking about retail, lots of indies are getting retail releases these days, so it all arbitrary BS at this point.

Enjoy what you like, but I've never understood shitting on good and great games because their budget supposedly isn't big enough or there's a big enough publisher backing the game like that means anything anymore.

Cool, thanks! I needed like $23.05 more, so I grabbed the Witcher 3 expansion pass. Since the other $76.95 I spent was all stuff on sale (!), I figured that means with the credit I'll have gotten the expansion pass for about $10. Not bad.

Didn't see anybody mention this, but the Puzzle Quest that's on PS4 now is the PS2 version. Whoever was obsessing about where they were now has a new game to think about.

Axiom Verge is really good as a Metroid clone that surprisingly makes big changes in the weapons and tools department.

I'm not sure if you should get it if your second sentence about getting mad that others enjoy some games more than you did is a sign of things to come.

Never said I get mad. I simply said a lot of indie throwback games get a ton of undue praise from a particular sect of gamers simply based on the fact they are indie throwbacks.

And you also assume that because I don't like something I get mad at those who disagree despite the fact you do not even know a thing about me. Again, it's the people of a certain portion that base their opinions more on whats trendy at the moment more so than what they think is good I disagree with.

That you even mention this "nefarious clique" as an issue when trying to parse positive feedback on a game kind of gives off a hostile vibe, whether you mean it or not.

I lived through at least part of the era where these games were inspired by, though I don't really care about who or what the games are based on or how they look as long as they're fun to play. I don't care about mysterious sects of people that say they enjoy the games they enjoy, but the weird rash of people around here of late that lash out against those that enjoy some of these games are the craziest thing I've seen in the past few weeks on CAG. I don't know why I even need to justify my cred to you.

As for Axiom Verge, I'm not going to make a recommendation to you personally because I don't know you and you haven't said anything about what you are interested in. Axiom Verge is really good as a Metroid clone that surprisingly makes big changes in the weapons and tools department. Things like a glitch item that alters enemies in helpful and sometimes not so helpful ways ("plant" enemies spitting out health instead of bad stuff or donut enemies that can break through parts of the environments to create new paths among many others). It has a bunch of unique weapons hidden around the place that aren't just the usual archetypes of Metroid's arsenal and you're not even required to get them unless you want to explore to find them all, which is a cool way of doing. The weapons and tools it does get from Metroid and some other games from that era usually have unique approaches to them that other clones don't really even attempt to do, which helps it feel fresh and less like the straight clone you'd assume if you just looked at screenshots. For reference, it made my Top 10 list for 2015 and it was my site's Game of the Year last year. The Vita version is on the way later this year and will be free via Cross Buy once the team that's porting it is done with that. If you don't like it, oh well. That's on you in the end.

For those that worry about this, it's very unlikely that it'll ever hit PS+ after interviewing Tom Happ a few weeks ago. He's of the opinion that it's not worth it until it stops selling completely year down the line and even then, he's not that interested in it.

When I delete a game from my HD, I don't delete my save right?
I just got Battlefront and all my progress is missing...

I was in my late 20s, early 30s from free rentals.. and now it's all gone.

It's also taking forever to connect to the EA servers.

--edit--

Probably a server thing, I regularly delete my rented games to save space but not the save files.

Still, this is very disconcerting.

FYI you can use the 20% of psn code on the season pass for the division. Gold edition or regular edition are still a pre order so no go. So what I did was 20% off banner saga + division season pass on an order and the the division regular edition pre order will put you over $100 to get $15 back. I prefer digital on multiplayer games because I game share with my son.

They're separate on the HDD and it sounds like a server issue since that should all be stored server side.

Guess it's good that I waited on Soma when it was 30% off, as it's now 45% off and counts towards the $15 back promo.

Now, we just need a flash sale this weekend coming up and we'll really be doing good.
