So I have one other question that I cannot get a straight answer from google about.  If you install a game from disk like The Witcher 3 and then buy the digital version will it just run straight away or will I have to download again?  I am trying to convince my Dad to let me buy The Witcher 3 and MGSV and then he can trade his physical copies but he has a data cap and does not want to download that much.

Download again.

Ok I think I get it. At this point I dont even have profiles for the kids. I can't figure out how to set them up without email addresses. They're too young for that right now. They just log in as me and a guest.

1. Is there a way to set up a profile for a kid without going through an email and all that junk? On xbox live it was easy to just give them silver accounts.

2. With the way they play now (logged in as me and a guest) it sounds like making my brothers system my primary wouldnt cause any issues.

3. Cloud saves? Is it automatically saving things to the cloud? I never set it to do that and assumed everything was saving locally...
I think you can just create a local account on the console, but not sure. I know you could on PS3, but it's possible PS4 doesn't give that option. I created online accounts for my kids since it was easy enough to just create a forwarding email address specifically for that use. I figure the extra email address can always come in handy for other things, too.

Your game saves do save locally, but PS Plus members also have auto uploading to the cloud on their home console. If you're not on your home/primary console, you have to manually push it to the cloud if you care to do it. If you're not moving between multiple PS4's and not worried about your save data, it's not really much of an issue.

How do you download discs to hdd? Is that automatic with the ps4?
If this is a serious question, yes, it's automatic. Every disc automatically downloads to the hard drive as soon as you put it in the drive. It's not like PS3 or Xbox 360 where the disc was an optional install.

One more heads up for PS Mobile owners; after Monday, you will no longer be able to activate PS Mobile service on your system if it ever becomes deactivated. If you want to keep your games, DO NOT remove your memory card at any point after February 29th.

You should also make triple sure that your system is activated before the deadline. I don't want to see anyone unknowingly lose all their games immediately.

I have like 30 of them. Some are pretty darn good, but the only one I'd truly miss is Tokyo Jungle Mobile.

Here's The Drop for this week:

New Releases: March 1st, 2016

Alekhine’s Gun - $49.99

PS4 — Digital, Retail

You are Agent Alekhine, a highly skilled Russian assassin working alongside American CIA agents during the Cold War. As the tension of a nuclear standoff grows with each passing minute, the fate of America — and quite possibly the world — lies within your hands.

Broforce - $14.99, Free for PS+
PS4 — Digital

When evil threatens the world, the world calls on Broforce — an under-funded, over-powered paramilitary organization dealing exclusively in excessive force. Battle alone or online with four-player co-op and bring down anything that stands in the way of freedom!

Croixleur Sigma - $14.99, Free for PS4 owners
PS Vita — Digital (Cross Buy with PS4)

Wielding magic blades, four girls fight back successive waves of monsters in this exhilarating hack-and-slash action game. There are various battle styles and you can mix and match, and four weapons to form your own play style.

Gunscape - Free to Play
PS4 — Digital

Gunscape provides easy-to-use tools based on a block-placement interface everybody’s already familiar with to create all types of maps. Don’t like building stuff? Then just blast your way through hordes of monsters or duel with other players!

Heavy Rain - TBA
PS4 — Digital

Heavy Rain is an ambitious project that tells a complex story through contextual actions and realistic visuals. Embracing the idea of “interactive storytelling,” the game is built around an emotive and compelling proposition: “How far would you go to save someone you love?”

Ironcast - $14.99
PS4 — Digital

Ironcast is a game of steampunk mech combat, set in a fictional version of the Victorian Era. Players take control of a 7 meter tall walking vehicle called an Ironcast. You must face off against an invading force of enemy Ironcast in order to defend 1880’s Victorian England.

McDroid - $7.99
PS4 — Digital

McDroid is a combination of tower defense and action. You’ll have to build your base and defenses, harvest resources, and discover numerous sci-fi weapons as swarms of alien enemies come at you. Stay on your toes all the time!

Mortal Kombat XL - $59.99
PS4 — Digital, Retail

One of the best-selling titles of 2015 has gone XL! Komplete The Mortal Kombat X Experience with new and existing content. Includes the main game, and new playable characters Alien, Leatherface, Triborg, and Bo’Rai Cho. Previously released playable characters include Predator, Jason Voorhees, Tremor, Tanya, and Goro. Also includes the new skins pack Apocalypse Pack and all previously released skins packs.

Pirate Solitaire - TBA
PS Vita — Digital

Outwit the old sea dog and seize the pirates’ gold! Play solitaire right on the deck of the reavers’ ship. Levels of varying difficulty promise several hours of exciting gameplay, and unique golden cards make the game even more interesting.

Royal Defense: Invisible Threat - $5.99
PS Vita — Digital

The castle needs a hero as hordes of trolls are surrounding it! Build towers, save money, learn spells, and keep the enemy away. Follow the exciting story of the dwarven kingdom’s eternal struggle against the troll hordes, who want only to crush the dwarves and claim their territory.

Screencheat - $14.99
PS4 — Digital

Screencheat is a split-screen, first-person shooter that centers around the conceit of screen cheating/peeping/looking (looking at the screens of other players to locate their position). In Screencheat all players are invisible, turning this controversial tactic into the core mechanic of the game.

Square Heroes - $4.99
PS4 — Digital

There’s nothing more satisfying than mowing down your buddy, hearing them curse, and then doing it again just to rub it in. Square Heroes has been driven by a desire to recapture that feeling and share it with others. It’s a great party game: easy to pick up, but hard to master — and most fun when played with friends.
It's weird that because Action Henk and Assault Android Cactus lost the PS+ vote, they're delayed to next week. The Xbox One version of Action Henk gets released first now.

Never heard of this, but it looks good.  Anyone hear anything?

Ironcast - $14.99

A steampunk mech based 'match 3' game?  Interesting.   a bit pricey though.

McDroid - $7.99

Hmm.. hopefully this does tower defense well.

Does anyone else feel almost overwhelmed by the number of ps4 games releasing?   I simply can't even remotely keep up.

If anyone with amazon prime that gets the slower shipping in exchange for $1 credits may want to get a psn card soon. Some credits expire on March 1st.

Anyone have any comments on the Batman Arkham Knight Season pass at 18? Good buy? or is the DLC crap? Just bunch of skins? or Story missions? what? thanks

Hey, I've got a 20% off code that expires tomorrow and I don't really have anything to buy. First person to quote this post can have the code!

Is the Precision Expert Pack for Helldivers worth $1.50? Apparently it's the only DLC I don't have.

Felt the same, but anything over $10 and you'll make back the cost.
I'm spending $100 so it's worth it, though then I'll spend that $20 saved on Tuesday when the new sales update to get the $15 back.

You a Helldiver, Eldritch? I haven't bought any of the DLC but am thinking of getting back into playing. It is legitimately the most fun online co-op game I've played in a long time. I only have one trophy left for the platinum but it's the Making Mountains Out Of Molehills trophy. Spent well over 40 hours playing and only have about 80,000 more enemies to kill. Not sure if I can muster the will for this absurd grind. The whole point of the game is to try to get through stages undetected by enemies.

One day. Bought the disc version so have all the DLC except that one random pack. Hear it's great so I would like to play it one day when I have friends.

I still play multiple hours a week and yet I don't feel compelled to get them after having looked at the actual cars and having the plat.
I used my code already on the 3 packs and 6 other stuff but the RL DLC is worth it for me after seeing all the other added stuff besides the cars.

Also I spent $58.23 towards the spend $100 promo, so I'm  Sony comes through Tuesday with a good sale. Hope there's not a lot of good :vita: games on sale though because I used the 20% on a dummy account so I need good deals on :ps3: and :ps4: so I can play on my main account.

It was worth it at $17 for the game and the season pass, but not for the season pass alone. The most enjoyable part for me was that I could play through the campaign as Adam West Batman to make it look as dumb as possible.

I know that as soon as I buy the DLC I will never play the game again.

I'm at $91.35 with Witcher 3, Bloodborne, Bloodborne DLC, Project Cars, and Hitman Go. So pretty good value on my coupon right there. Considering the Helldivers Precision Expert Pack for $1.49, Hand of Fate Wildcards for $4.99, and Hotline Miami 2 for $7.49. Not sure the value in the Helldivers DLC since I haven't played the game and I'm not sure exactly what it is. Wildcards doesn't seem like something that will go on sale often (or ever). Hotline Miami 2 I'm not sure about. First game played far better on PC personally and seems like it will be cheaper or PS+ down the road.

Trying to think if there's some other DLC I wouldn't otherwise buy. Of course the more I spend now the better the sale will be on Tuesday when I have to spend less to get to $100.

I'm a huge Adventure Time fan and it's garbage. The worse Adventure Time game I've played and none of them have been great.
its not too bad in comparison to explore the dungeon because I don't know. Now that one was bad at least on the 3ds. No idea whether the console versions and ports of it are good however. But the 3ds version had bad load times and painful controls. Of what my niece played for the demo of investigations it at least has good and consistent level of voice work to it and doesn't control too badly. Easily worth 5$ in comparison to explore the dungeon which I feel robbed paying 5 for.

I just want to randomly say that as someone who knew nothing about Hitman Go, it's awesome.  It's both a great "play in short spurts" or "get hooked for an hour or two" type of game.  Very simple yet so addictive.  I guess it wouldn't be worth it if you already had the mobile version but I don't regret the purchase one bit.

Rollers of the Realm is a pretty fun game and totally worth $4.99. I really liked Hotline Miami 2 but I could see it being potentially more playable with a mouse as opposed to thumb sticks.

Well worth every penny, don't listen to anyone that tells you otherwise. There are some genuinely fun DLC missions, along with a number of cool race tracks and unique skins.

Already have it and a lot of the rest of the sale which made things more complicated. Ended passing on Hotline Miami 2 but grabbing the rest of it. Saved $19.58 so could be worse. Now come Tuesday I have to spend $22.
