I picked up Assassin's Creed Chronicles and for 7.50 it's a steal. Having a lot of fun with the China portion right now.
Thanks for reminding me to check out my cart. Been waiting to play this and have no idea where my Vita copy of the game went.

https://blog.us.playstation.com/2019/05/30/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-launches-on-ps4-october-25/

Looks like the next Call of Duty is a reboot of the Modern Warfare series and it'll be out 10/25:
Because a reboot is going to save your franchise now and not churning one out every year with pay walls and crap lol

I loved the first 2 MW games, but think I'll steer clear of this one

I couldn't get past the controls in RDR2. I was so excited for it, but just got bored by the time I reached the first main town. I keep promising myself to get back to it....
This! Between crafting special dishes and not being able to camp in open areas at times (found this lovely wooded area and it kept telling me "You're already in a camping area"--okay, so LET ME SET UP CAMP!), the controls are just screwy. I had way more fun with RDR 1, and that Red meter runs out FAST--to say nothing of the fact that I picked up someone out of the street from a fight I wasn't involved in, and suddenly i'm being hunted by the sheriff after JUST paying off my bounty!

Game's got some messed up moral compass.

Metal Gear is my favorite game series. It's the only series that I buy collectors editions of really. Even with my fandom, I'm just not sold on Death Stranding yet. I'm still like...it LOOKS nice, but what are you going to DO? Hopefully we'll see more gameplay before Nov 8th.
Me too--I'll buy every edition of MGS, and I'll even go so far as to say I really enjoyed MGS: Survive even if he wasn't involved in it.

But this... this is an odd duck. I get the time travel and pulling up residual energy from people who have been where the character is, but in the WW1 trenches it looks like he's shooting ghosts. Is he maybe in a parallel dimension and taking out enemies in their world from his? That would be kind of cool, but also terrifying for the real world.

I'll have to wait for much more. But knowing Kojima, he'll just put out a 10 minute trailer and confuse the fuck out of everyone even more.

I know the guy always wanted to make films, but does he not understand the concept of an effective trailer length? Eight minutes!

Loving Trover Saves the Universe so far. This game really feels like people are starting to take VR games to a new level. Definitely recommended.

Looking at a couple of titles still on sale.  Any thoughts on any of the following Override:  Mech City Brawl or Earth Defense Force 4.1?  Thanks in advance for any advice.

I'm streaming some Trover Saves the Universe. (Link)

Edit: The archive is uploading now and will be done in a bit:

Kotodama seems interesting from this weeks releases on Tuesday
I am getting it myself but don't think it looks great. Looks like it has Huniepop's game play mixed with clothes coming off or something and mystery solving? It's likely going to be a mess, but It's already coming to me (on Switch though).

According to GameSpot, both seasons of Minecraft: Storymode are leaving digital storefronts on June 25th and will not be re-downloadable (even from Season Pass discs) afterwards.

That's certainly different.  It's not very often you hear of a game being delisted that you cannot download if already purchased.  That one user is gonna have a field day with this discussion if he's still around.

After seeing this news yesterday I bit the bullet and got Batman Enemy Within. Goes against my policy of never paying more than $10 for a TT game, but it’s Batman. And an easy platinum.

This is pretty disastrous. I don't know how they can justify this. I knew those season pass discs would come back to bite me in the ass one day. If only they would have waited to put all episodes on disc, their legacy could have been preserved. :whistle2:|

I really enjoyed season 1 and was hoping to snag season 2 on a sale.  Looks like now you can't even buy the season pass on PSN so I guess I'm going to have to rush out and get the disk.

This^.

I've putting considering getting Enemy Within for a while now. It's been the one TT game that hasn't had its physical disc drop in price. Then when TT went belly up, proceeded by TT games being delisted on PC, I figure I better grab it. Going to pick it up when I get home. Also have Minecraft Season 2 on disc. I'll have to load that up. I enjoyed all other TT games. Was really hoping that Skybound would acquire the whole company as its gateway into games. Really wanted Wolf 2

after the news of the Telltale games being delisted was posted here, i went back and decided to download Game of Thrones (which was a free PS+ game). doesn't look like you can even buy the first episode now but i was able to go into my download list and do it from there.

I think the only telltale games I haven't played are back to the Future, guardians of the Galaxy, and the newest walking dead season. Luckily I own them a digitally, hopefully they don't remove them from my download lists.

I forgot Game of Thrones was a PS+ title. Also, a handful of Telltale PS3 games used to go for under a buck in PSN flash sales. Don't forget you might have bought games like Jurassic Park, Sam & Max, Tales of Monkey Island, or Poker Night.

I think the point is you have to download and keep it to your hard drive because you won’t be able to download them after a certain date. Which is annoying because I don’t have the space, plus I’ve platted all of them so I don’t know when I’ll ever revisit them again. It’s just frustrating that they could shut down download servers at any time. Really makes me rethink my whole digital investment.

i really wanted to play wolf among us but full price doesnt seem like its worth it.
The Wolf Among Us is an earlier title so all episodes are present on disc. The same goes for Back to the Future and the first two seasons of Walking Dead. Only the newer ones had only one or two episodes on disc, like Batman 1 and 2, Guardians of the Galaxy, Game of Thrones, Tales from the Borderlands, Minecraft 1 and 2 and Walking Dead 3 and 4. I think The Complete Adventures edition of Minecraft has all 5 episodes on disc, but the 3 bonus episodes were also downloadable. Man, it’s a shit show.

Not thread relevant but the ban for numbjuice was likely for posting in the niche announcements thread earlier.  At least that is what I would assume.

Disc copy is cheap at Gamestop. Besides, Wolf Among Us is by far their best IP and episodic series by far. I can't even tell you the sheer amount of joy I had the day season 2 was FINALLY announced, followed by the sadness I had when they cancelled it. I would easily pay a kickstarter campaign to continue/make season 2.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that they're not actually blocking downloads of the games/episodes for those that own them. I'd bet that what they were talking about is the way their season passes worked, where it would make the other episodes free and you're have to purchase them to have the full set, which won't be available when they're delisted.

That's not how the article reads:

GameSpot Story said:
Just because a game has been delisted doesn't mean it's lost to you forever, but you'll have to be quick and careful. If you want to keep playing Minecraft: Story Mode after June 25, you'll need to download all of the game's episodes before then. To keep them, you can never delete them from your system.

Even if you still own the episodes, you won't be able to redownload them. If you own the physical versions of Minecraft: Story Mode, check to see if all episodes are on the disc. In some cases, only the first episode is stored on the disc, and the next ones are digital downloads. If that's true for your copy, you'll need to download the episodes that aren't on your disc before June 25.

I was wondering about Tales from the Borderlands.

Good to know if you’re prepping for Borderlands 3 since it does have ties to the Tales game.

Looks like Sony Rewards finally updated again as I got an email late last night saying my platinum pass was finished. But, they're sold out of $10 and $20 PSN cards apparently, which sucks. Guess I will just try to wait it out because I am not interested in anything else they offer.

You guys talking about Wolf Among Us should read Fables.
I got Wolf Among Us because I read Fables.

I met the author Bill Willingham at a convention once and told him how great the books were.

I didn't talk long thought because I was embarrassed that I borrowed them from the library.

Cheap Ass Reading

I cashed out a bunch of reward points on 5/25, before the cards were 'sold out', and they still haven't sent my codes. Was going to use the PSN $ for Telltale games but they'll probably all be delisted before Sony Rewards gets their act together...

If I only talked about books/games/whatever that I actually paid for legitimately, I'd be pretty quiet.

How does Sony run out of codes for their own network?
