I know you guys recommended Nioh. Regular is $18 and Complete is $25, which seems a little high. Is it worth the price?
The main game alone is about 80 hours or more. If you feel you’ll want more after the main story ends and enjoy games like Dark Souls or Bloodbourne than I definitely recommend the Complete Edition. Also, you’ll get to start with the Nioh armor and weapons which are OP and will help big time in the early part where you’d otherwise be very weak and underpowered. I used them for a while saving myself some unnecessary deaths and grind.

What site or forum thread do you all use to find good PSN deals? As much fun as I've had in this "Let's debate The Last of Us for a week" thread, I'm all about them sales.
You do have to weed through other non Sony related sales but this twitter account should keep you in the loop without haven't to read through this thread.

That's the account that reposts Wario64 tweets, right?
And others. I guess if you just follow wario64 you should be all set.

Funny how that other thread was started for all the off topic stuff here. That is gone to Discord and all the off topic stuff is back here.

Thanks, I think I’ll go for the complete. Watched some YT videos on it and it seems like something I’ll like. Some people compared it to Diablo which is interesting.
The loot system is a bit Diablo-ish but that's where the comparisons end really. Still hope to get to the DLC before the flood of new games starts in September.

That’s where I stand as well. Just beat the main story line and doing platinum trophy cleanup before I jump into the DLC next. I’d like to say I’ll be done with this game by September but I highly doubt it lol. I have to say though, running through most missions with co-op help go the Torii gate can make this game extremely easy. Most times the most difficulty I had was just finding the damn Kodamas haha

the "good PSN deals" are posted every Tuesday, so what normal conversation during the rest of the week is more interesting to you guys than the discussion about the Last Of Us?  I disagree with a lot of the stuff said but hey at least it was interesting to read

you want more of the typical posts of people asking "should I buy this game that has a 90 on metacritic for 5 dollars" or asking what exactly that game is despite there being millions of videos and articles on that game throughout the internet?

There's an off-topic topic specifically made for random stuff like this, including the political views and other such discussion... so, yes.

Batman Return to Arkham is on sale for 10 dollars

what is Batman? this site is the only place on the internet that could tell me what this "Batman" is, so what is it? any opinions on this game that has been around for many years? it's 2 games in one but is that worth 10 dollars?

what game is it comparable too? can somebody give me their opinions on this game because I trust anonymous dude on the internet more than mainstream reviewers, I don't care how many 9 out of 10's the game gets because I can't risk 10 dollars

I was thinking about creating videos of stuff and putting it online so people could see exactly what I was describing. It could be video games, people cooking stuff, but mostly people hurting their private parts. Thinking of calling it "UsTube" or "WeTube" or something like that.

Seriously, though, Batman is pretty great (with some minor issues). If you honestly have no idea what it is, there are plenty of reviews, quicklooks, etc. that will give you an idea.

Thank you for getting back on topic. It's really appreciated. Sorry to hear about your internet troubles.

Batman is a comic book hero, though he's also been featured in other media.

The Arkham games are pretty good. They are comparable to a variety of open world games where you run around completing main story missions or side missions off of a map. I think it's a good value for $10.

However, there was some controversy regarding remade graphic assets, so if you want to experience the game's art as originally intended, you'll need to play the games on 360/PS3/PC, and I think there was even a Wii U port in there somewhere.

I'm not sure if the game features a same-sex relationship.

the "good PSN deals" are posted every Tuesday, so what normal conversation during the rest of the week is more interesting to you guys than the discussion about the Last Of Us? I disagree with a lot of the stuff said but hey at least it was interesting to read

you want more of the typical posts of people asking "should I buy this game that has a 90 on metacritic for 5 dollars" or asking what exactly that game is despite there being millions of videos and articles on that game throughout the internet?
Yes. That is infinitely more preferable considering this is a deals thread and not a diary thread.

Anyone else having an issue paying on the PS Store this afternoon? I didn’t have an issue yesterday, but I keep getting an error today.

I just bought TLOU Remastered via the app and didn't have a problem (other than Sony forcing me to buy an extra $5 to cover the less than $5 difference between the sale price and the existing credit I had).

Same here. Encountered an error while processing your order.

Seems I was able to work around it by using only my wallet balance. It didn't work when I tried to check out using Paypal. So maybe buy some PSN credit, add it to your wallet and try that way.

Today is the last day.

what is GTA V? heck what does GTA V even stand for?

I see it is one of the best sellers ever, but is this sale price a good deal?

i've never played GTA so can anybody tell me what exactly the game is? is it a racing game or what?

GTA V stands for "Grand Theft Auto Five."

However, there was some controversy regarding content and language, so buyer beware.

I'm not sure if the game features a same-sex relationship, but I'd say it's likely. A previous game's DLC was named after a gay character.

Looks like the Days of Play sale has a different end time than normal, so it ends at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT. There's an hour left to grab those games or the PS+ discount if you have yet to grab them.

... you'd probably be better off to summarize the GTA series as an adult oriented social/culture satire. It's content is in line with R-rated films, or other explicit forms of media.

Not sure why you find it relevant to point out a character's sexual orientation in your reply. Looked back a few pages in this thread and couldn't find any reason why you'd need to highlight that narrative aspect. Are you trying to insinuate that "gay" characters somehow makes the GTA series more explicit/controversial? I hope not... because that would be ridiculous. You might as well warn a buyer about the way more controversial heterosexual content in the GTA series (i.e. "Hot Coffee" mod, prostitutes, strip clubs, etc.).

Apologies for getting off topic. I apologize if there wasn't intended to be an anti-gay stance to your reply.

I have not the slightest idea how you missed out on A BILLION PAGES of discussion about The Last of Us and Ellie kissing a girl in the trailer at E3 last week and she's being forced to be the protagonist to further a progressive agenda.

I didn't just imagine that, right?

You’re kidding, right? The past week has been post after post about Ellie being gay.

He’s including that detail as a joke, poking fun at the people so invested in the “controversy.” Now I suck because I had to explain the joke.

facepalm, I understand the context of your original post now. I've been ignoring the "controversy" discussion since it seemed ridiculous to have the "controversy" in the first place.

Apologies for prior response.

Why is Thor a title and not a person?
You know, this really bothers me. I mean, his first name is Thor. Other people can have the power of Thor but Thor is Thor. Back to the deals.

I am actually torn. Gravity Rush 2 is on sale and I own GR 1 on Vita and PS4. I really liked it on the Vita but had a problem doing some of the battles due to the small screen. I never actually downloaded the PS4 version but I want to get around to it and finish it....after I finish a lot of other things. Maybe I should put it next on my list.

I'd be wasting my money buying GR2. I really want it but you know, I just convinced myself to not get it. It will be on sale again if I ever finish GR 1 and I'm only saving 7 dollars. Thank you CAG community for showing me the way.

The Gravity Rush 2 servers go down next month if that influences your decision..(Thor being a title dates back to the original comics.. I never liked the character until the movies.. same with Iron Man and Captain America.. wheee off-topic!)

For those that played RE 2 on ps1, would you say the campaign is lengthy? Apparently the remake will only have 2 campaigns, compared to 4(?) from the original. Plus the fact that the game is being released at $60, instead of $40 has me a bit hesitant to make this a day 1 purchase. Yes I understand the new camera angle (RE 4 style) is being implemented, but does that and current graphics alone warrant a $60 price tag off the bat?

I never played GR1 on the Vita but after playing it on the PS4, I can't imagine how the fuck you would play it on the Vita. I platted the PS4 version and it controls pretty well imo.

As for GR2, as pointed out, the online features (which isn't tied to any trophies but is tied to several exclusive items like outfits, emotes and talismans) are set to be shut down in a month. I have a feeling this'll be the last sale on it before then which is why I'm grabbing it.

Whats funny is that when it was announced for PS4, the Vita players couldn't imagine how the controls would work on PS4...

Moving it to two campaigns isn’t really going to change anything. You only really had to do a Leon A to Claire B or Claire A to Leon B to basically see everything. Once you’re done with those two sequences, you’ve seen 99% of everything. Maybe there’s a room or two you would miss. Nothing major I believe.

I can’t speak to the quality of the game seeing as how none of us have played it yet, but the campaigns were lengthy. 10-15 hours each. It looks like they’re going to do a good job of differentiating each campaign. It looks fantastic to me and the original RE2 is the best Resident Evil and a personal favorite for me and many others, so I would recommend buying it whenever you first feel comfortable with he price. I don’t think this is something that needed to be $40. I see as much work going into this game as went into any other major release Capcom has made.

In the original there is only two scenarios. One as Leon and the other was as Claire (Leon A, Claire A). Then they just switched which character you played as and called them Scenario B ( Leon B, Claire B ) with some slight changes. I can't say if the remake will be worth it, but from the looks of it, it does look like they put a lot of effort into it.

6000 tokens to get the "best" reward? Seems like a lot of work.. I really want to start on it before servers go down, but it looks like a hell of a task.
