There should be 5 games announced on Monday like we get normally and 3 announced at E3. I don't think it's speculation to assume that because it's basically been confirmed on the EU blog.

I'm pretty sure one of the slots will be taken by the GoW collection which was accidentally marked as free a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully they don't count each game as one slot.
I wouldn't worry about that. Sony uses the yearly games in a LOT of marketing, so whatever they're going to be, they're going to be "bigger" ticket games.
No one knows, but the speculation is starting to build up expectations that very possibly will lead to disappointment and a bunch of whining.
What is there to get hyped about when we know nothing about it?
What is there to get hyped about when we know nothing about it?
Gamers always get hyped up over rumors and then disappointed when the rumors end up not being true (when the rumors are good, that is).

I've seen many PS Blog comments about how they thought Sony promised some bullshit and they didn't come through when Sony never actually promised anything.
i doubt we get anything new for the vita until JULY once every 2 months it seems
I've seen you mention this before. I don't think you understand how PS+ works yet.

This exactly.
Damn, should have jumped on them when the store updated Tuesday. Maybe they will be back next update. Just funny they were on both psn and live wed.
Wtf how did I miss these? Red son pack is still up.

It was funny seeing those Injustice preorder items on the store for $.99. I sold the Zombie/Blackest night skin on eBay for $30 at release.

Serious question, what difference does it make what tiering the game is on? MANY people would consider Katamari Forever / Lumines / Reality Fighter / Dungeon Hunters (or whatever it was called) games that really should have been PSN titles. On the other hand we have Little King Story (it might be a lazy sequel / updated port, but it has a lot of content), EDF, Orgarhythm and Dokuro as PSN titles, though they all have enough content to justify a retail release (orga is something of a reach, though these all did retail releases elsewhere, except maybe EDF, too lazy to look).

In the end, I've enjoyed some PSN titles more than disc based games and I've enjoyed Dokuro a lot more than a number of Vita games on carts, so I don't see the problem. Being a cart game doesn't mean the game is good or even fun, just means the company thought they could get X dollars for it at one point.

I see now. You may be about right, though I don't think it was 100% intentional by the PS+ team. But maybe it is, who knows.

That being said, I hope you don't only focus on the cartridge-based freebies from PS+. Admiralvic's comment did a perfect job of why you shouldn't. Knytt Underground, Mutant Blobs Attack, and Plants vs Zombies are all great Vita games that we've got on PS+. You could make the arguement that PvZ could have easily been a retail release as well.

Also keep in mind that we did get a few full PSP games during that time. Most of them were fighters
:puke:
but we did get them.

Fun fact: Dokuro WAS a retail/cart release in Japan that went for retail MSRP. So it's even less of a clear line between what distinguishes a PSN game from a release of "retail quality," so to speak.

He mentioned that.

judging the games on one of the (if not the) most digitally centric platforms yet (the vita) by whether it came out on cart or not is just silly.

i mean, heck, wasn't Atelier Totori Plus a purely digital release? And that's a huge jrpg.

Also, you originally stated: "I doubt we get anything new for the vita until JULY once every 2 months it seems" and only brought 'carts' into it after someone called you out on it. You didn't mention carts in your original post, so it's unfair to think we'd be able to read your mind and know that's what you were talking about.

That explains a lot, thank you!

---

On topic or less off topic at least, that doesn't affect the line in the least. Sumioni was also a Japanese retail game and people argue that it was over priced at $15 on the PSN store, imagine shelling out $40 or the Japanese MSRP (¥ 5,229, so close to $55 dollars back when it released and the Yen was stronger). My point remains that where / how the game releases doesn't affect quality, just means some PSN games are higher quality than some cart games and vice versa.

Haha, misread the post, my bad. That import does look nice with the box art...

It better not be another fighting game

I'm gonna say it will be Resistance: Falling Skies in July.

Game didn't do that great but could be a nice time killer.

With it already being available for free in the EU, and the recent announcement of Rayman Legends for the Vita, I'm expecting Rayman Origins to hit Plus soon. Legends is already coming out in a few months too, so it makes even more sense to me.

I got 40$ in credit for my vita what should i purchase ?:D no psp/ps1 games please. Also not gonna pick up persona 4 golden since i own it already. Just want some honest opinion on what is good for the vita.

Dokuro is amazing if you like puzzle games and Soul Sacrifice is a nice Monster Hunter like game that has a fair amount of playablity. CoD Declassified is amazing if you want to break your Vita or get the platinum and feel like a total fucking badass. SF X Tekken includes or at least did include DLC for the PS3 version and was a very enjoyable game (on disc DLC aside), I could easily get my moneys worth and then some. Rayman Origins is amazing and really shines on the Vita, though I suggest waiting as EU got it for free. Disgaea 3 had a shitty story, but amazing gameplay, plus includes all the console DLC, which is a ton of value alone. Unit 13 is a fun game to co op with a friend, plus has a fair bit of diversity between the missions, plus you don't need to get all three stars to enjoy everything. Ragnarok Odyssey wasn't the best game ever, nor is ACE helping my case, but it was enjoyable if you want a simple hack and slash RPG like game. Zero Escape is a very interesting visual novel that should give you a fair amount of value, plus some of the endings are pretty enjoyable. DoA 5+ is a solid game on the go, though be warned the online has been dead whenever I've tried to play it. Also if you don't already own PlayStation Plus, even the three month trial would be a killer deal to enjoy Gravity Daze and WipEout.

Some very brief overviews for you. Writing it reminded me I own like half of the Vita library... pretty sad on my part. >

no i mostly wast trying to say i doubt we see another Cart based game added to the PSN + on the vita side until July... i enjoy vita downloads as well (that mens room game and PVZ is two of the better games i liked for the vita download) but was mostly trying to point out i doubt we see another Cart based game released before july on the vita ..i hope im wrong and im really hoping

Ragnarok Odyssey would be the july game :) though i would hate to have to replay it i know for a fact it would remain on my memory card for a long long time :)

I agree with Admiralvic that PS Plus should be the first thing you do if you haven't already. LBP Vita is a great one to consider. It was on sale recently, so I don't know how the current pricing looks compared to other games, but it is definitely a great game. Also has a lot of replayability if you enjoy exploring other users' creations.

Then why not say "I doubt we will get another retail Vita game till July" over "i doubt we get anything new for the vita until JULY once every 2 months it seems". It's even less words and would have avoided all of this. Things like this are why people think you're a troll (assuming you aren't actually one and just poor at communicating your thoughts)...
I own quite a bit of the vita library as well. It may even be considered a small backlog by now. So dont feel bad haha.

Edit: AdmiralVic I have a trophy question. About how many plats on average does it take to hit Level 20? Wanna hit 20 by fall and tackle my ps3 exclusives.
Well levels are based off points and trophies ultimately just have point values, so it's impossible to say how many you would need. From what I understand, level 20 is roughly 80,000 points and the average game is like 1,200 points, so it would take approximately 67 full trophy / platinum lists to hit level 20. While this might sound absurd on paper, it's not impossible if you gun it. For instance you can buy Sound Shapes for $15 or so and get all the DLC for another like $5 dollars and get all the trophies in a few hours. Since the game is worth 2,130 points with all the DLC, you can instantly transfer it over to the Vita and get another 2,130 points in a minute. So you can get 4,260 points from Sound Shapes in like 5 hours, which is a fair amount of progress (around 10%). You can also double up on Motorstorm RC too.

Well damn thats quite a bit. Once I hit 300K on achievements and finish the 10ish games I have on 360 I want to start playing my PS3 again. Get back to the God of War games and the Ratchet and Clanks. :D

The third PS3 game is left off for each month. Do you think it's legit?

I got a hilarious message this morning from some guy calling me every racial slur in the book, because according to him there was no way I could be one level higher than he is. His reasoning for this was, and I quote, "aint no1 biger then me cuz im teh top l33t gam3r bezt on dat tripel biotch im reportin yo azz mudafucka woop!".

I really need to stop accepting random friend requests from multiplayer games.

Doesn't matter. Most of the games listed are TBC or To Be Confirmed, so any idiot can make a mock up and be "as legit" as this thing is.

As long as I get a free copy of Coconut Dodge my PS+ sub money was well spent.

Seems as legit as every other random rumor on the internet.

It's legit. It comes from the PlayStation Russia page on vk.com, the Russian equivalent of Facebook. Do the European territories normally get the same games as Russia? I'd love to get Devil May Cry and Little King's Story here.

Is it actually an official PlayStation Russia page? Looking it over, they link to content and videos from a lot of PS3 fan sites and there's even a post speculating if Sega's returning to the console business, which makes me think that it's just a fan page. If you visit the official PlayStation Russia site, their facebook page is what's front-and-center for their community outreach, not this vk.com page.
It would be nice to see DMC free somewhere, so that maybe some of the "OMG NOT MY DANTE!" folk would give it a chance.
It'd be nice, especially since I never got to try out bloody palace despite having the DLC code for it.

Actually started to like New Dante more after PSASBR. That Teen rating did wonders for his voice acting. Minor DmC ending spoilers
It still cracks me up that his new voiceactor actually flips you off in the credits of DmC as he rides away on a skateboard.
Any thoughts on atelier on the vita?
I'm in the middle of it and liking it so far. Better than Rorona, but I haven't decided it I like it better than Ayesha yet. I think it looks great on the Vita screen, too.

Damn, you're probably right. I went to their Facebook page and the "preview" isn't there, so it's probably a mock-up.

There is an interesting picture that may or may not have something to do with PlayStation Plus. Can anyone translate?

"Most of all I would like to play in the sequel to the game _______"

Not sure what to make of that, but it doesn't look like a leaked PS+ lineup unfortunately. And before anyone thinks I actually read Russian, I admit to using google for this. Still had to print and scan the image though.
If anybody here hasn't been able to play the demo for The Last of Us, I recorded a video of my playthrough yesterday:

Even for a demo it was shockingly short lol. Basically only one combat area at the very end

I was disappointed in the graphics of the outdoor environments, nowhere near as impressive as people talk about it. Grass looks like its at 800X600

But then I turned on my flashlight indoors and wow

While searching Google for Crash Bandicoot, I found this image:

What do you guys think? Could a new Crash Bandicoot be coming to Plus? Maybe they'll announce this at E3 when talking about the IGC? I love Crash Bandicoot so I'm really looking forward to this now.

As I mentioned above, it really doesn't matter, since almost all of the titles are listed as "to be confirmed" (assuming it doesn't mean something different, which is unlikely). It's unlikely that Sony would release any sort of document that basically says "we probably will have these titles, but we really don't know."
