$500 for Xbox one? I hope someone smart is working for Sony with the intentions to undercut that price out of the gate, even if there's was $500, dump it to $449. Although as a CAG I'm hoping the ps4 is closer to $300 or I might actually have a reason to work through my ps3 and PSN backlog.

I'm putting down bets for a $399 and a $499 version. With the more expensive being twice the harddrive space or something. All I know is if Sony even makes it $50-$100 cheaper somehow, then they flat win next gen console wars imo.

How would $399 kill ps3? You can get them new for $250 right now, and they'll probably drop to $200 after pre orders go up for ps4. That's a $150-$200 difference. I'm confused at what you mean?

The point is moot, since Sony could offer the PS4 for $250 and sales would be unchanged. It lacks Backwards Compatibility, so regardless of how better or worse the system is, it would have no impact as you still need a PS3 for PS3 games and a PS4 for PS4 games.

Was thinking about buying a ps4 day one BUT after getting a ps3 for 70 bucks (after selling off all of the bundle parts) i think i pass for now

I'm really hoping Sony can hit the $399 price point, or $449 at the very most. I really did not think the new Xbox would be more than $399 so I feel like they've opened a door for Sony.

While incredibly boring, I heard the MP only takes like 4 hours to get the trophies, so it's not like it's a huge grind.

I traded in Xcom for $15 after the trade in 7 for $35 extra. An FYI though: you probably want to keep your Uncharted 3 if you are aren't done with the game. The Uncharted 3 download is 47-90 GiB.

D'oh! I dumped UC3 (along with XCOM and LBP Karting) at GS yesterday. I only got $8.30 for UC3 - might have been worth keeping to not have such a huge download. I mean, I have the space for it (750GB HD) but that would take like 2 days to download :lol:.

Probably the wrong place to ask, but. Does anyone know where the best TIV is for an still sealed, brand new X Com would be?

Figure I'll get rid of my physical copy copy when the free one comes for plus.

I was in the same situation. I put it up on eBay but the value there is terrible and my auction (at what I thought was a very reasonable price of $22 shipped) had very few views in the 3 days I had it up (and keep in mind I got it listed right when the PS+ news broke so I'm sure eBay is even more flooded with copies now). The best thing is to take it to Gamestop. If you can scrounge up 6 other games you'll get the $5 bonus on each one and will get $17.10 for XCOM with that and PUR Pro. That is more than you could get on eBay for a new copy after shipping/fees. I've taken several sets of 7 games to Gamestop in the last few weeks for that deal - I finally decided I need to let go of some of these games I'm just never going to get around to playing. You just have to make sure the base trade-in values are $3 or more to qualify for the deal (check the GS trade-in thread page to see). All of the new PS+ crop qualify (UC3 just barely).

PSASBR is cross buy - you buy the PS3 version you get the Vita version for free/included. So even if it is the PS3 version, you still get the Vita version included for the same price.

I'm probably gonna pick up AC Liberation, still debating on PSASBR. If I pick-up both my 32 gig Vita card will probably be full (I have something like 4.6 gigs left).

I know it will show up as a PS+ freebie some day, so it is a matter of whether me and/or my son would get $14 worth of play out of it before now and then. Then again, I have credit to burn (and I think a few $20 PSN cards somewhere) that I am not using much any more because I keep getting burned by the freebies. I'll have to spend it on something (though if those cards work on the PS4 I might want to save them for that).

If you're still on the fence, don't forget that Kat / Emmett were free for the first two weeks (so you most likely got them for free) and Isaac / Zeus were free with God of War Ascension, so that should cover your DLC needs / wants.

I noticed a free 30 day trial offer was posted on the freebie section, which you can get by going here. Pretty sweet deal, since you can get the current "big 3" and the next "big 3", plus avoid all the Home bullshit.

I am trying to get feel for how likely certain publishers' games show up on plus.  The reason being is that I will be more likely to buy these games  on sale, as an example Syndicate for PC is $5 at GMG right now.   I see a few THQ, 2K, etc on plus, but as far I as I can't tell there are not any big EA games.  Is that correct, and are there any publishers who are not represent are plus and are unlikely to be so?

Don't waste too much time trying to figure it out. Many people have predicted specific games with poor results. If I had to give you my guess, though, I would stay away from Square Enix and, of course, Sony itself. So I suppose I just contradicted myself.

I said last week that Sony would hands down win next gen if they just said that there was no online only requirement, and that you could do whatever you want with your used games. I got told that they would do exactly as Microsoft is doing with used games DRM, because they had to in order to keep publishers happy.

No online requirement, no authentication checks, no used games restrictions. Online will remain free, DRIVECLUB will be free on launch for PS+.

The only negative so far for the PS4 is that certainly sounded like Playstation Plus is required for online multiplayer.  Certainly minor in comparison to what Microsoft has said so far.
