Showing as $2.99 for me.

If you already bought it for the Vita version, it's free for PS3 due to Cross Buy support.

My mistake. I purchased the original character and course bundle when it first came out. I am very nearly certain that it only contained 3 characters and 2 courses at the time. It now shows 3 and 3- has it been updated to include the new the third course or was it always there? If the bundle was updated, perhaps that's the source of my confusion. If not, I really need to pay closer attention and I'm sorry for wasting everyone time.

No. Well, not for the PS3. The general consensus is it's 20-30 hours for the PS3 version.

I heard the Vita version is a tactical turn-base one, and I would love to pick it up if I ever own a Vita. I love a good tactical turn-base game.

Question for all you crazy trophy people: Is the internet right and Afrika is a 40+ hour plat?

That one says 20-30, all the others I saw said 40+ but that site is usually the most reliable. Also you might be thinking of Tokyo Jungle and the mobile version is quite good but more of a real time rouge.

For those that own, the Pulse Elite headset. Sony has pushed an update out for the Pulse Elite Manager. Which gives us a new sound profile specifically for The Last of Us, GTA V will also get one when that game launches.

Has anyone here purchased the Pulse Elite headset and tried out the Infinite or The Last of Us custom Game Modes? I already have Sony's stereo headset and doubt that these custom modes are really that noticeable or make much of a difference, but the three games that offer them will definitely be my favorite three games of the year, so I'm curious to hear if you think they're worth the price of the Pulse Elite, especially if they keep making them for such high-profile games.

The Pulse Elites are definitely nice, but i'm not sure the custom game sound is anything more than a gimmick. For some reason, The Last of Us mode was not released until a few weeks after the game came out, but it sounded fantastic without the custom setting. I think the custom setting has more to do with the bass boost and I have mine turned almost all the way down since I don't like the boominess of it for any game, so I may be missing the full effect of the custom sound.

Pulse Elites are great headphones and better than the regular pulse except for one major flaw. If you chat online, you'll notice that the Sidetone (ability to hear yourself through the speakers) is extremely low. I find it distracting and annoying. I actually prefer to play multiplayer games with my regular Pulse headphones when compared to the Elites. If playing single player or not chatting, the Elites are preferred.

Currently on the fence about Everyday Shooter, Critter Crunch, and Trine 2. I know they are super cheap but wondering if I'd actually play them.

So just finished world 4 of Stealth Inc. It's a pretty sweet game and so far no regrets on my purchase. It plays great on the Vita and is the perfect fit for the handheld. It's getting pretty tough, and I expect the 2nd half of the game to get even more difficult. I thought there would be a little bit more focus on platforming and precise stealth timing (similar to Mark of the Ninja) but it's actually much more of a basic puzzle game with block moving, button switching, doors opening and closing, etc.

I don't see myself 100%'ing it, getting an S-Rank on every level is a major commitment of memorizing each level and then pulling off a perfect runthrough.
I'm only half way through world 2, but I agree with everything you said here. Good to see that our last minute cave ins on Monday were not regretted.

Wow! Don't hesitate. Buy all 3, and you won't regret it. Trine 2 is absolutely beautiful, and it has great gameply. It's also a good co-op game as well (up to 3 local co-op I believe). Critter Crunch is a very fun game. It's a blast playing with another person. And at $1 for Critter Crunch and Everyday Shooter, it's a no-brainer. At minimum, you should give $2 just to support the developers.

Isn't there a slider switch to adjust that?

Yeah I hear you. I do have Trine 1 though on PC and have yet to finish it. As for the others I know it's only $1 but I feel like I need to stop padding the backlog no matter how cheap. I've played Everyday Shooter, great game but not sure it would get much play time. The same with Critter Crunch, not sure it would get a lot of play time. I don't want to buy just because, but it's tempting no doubt.

If you don't mind waiting for it to get Humble Bundled.. I'd wait and get Trine 2 for PC. I think it looks a lot better on PC maxed out, and this is coming from someone that played through it once on PS3 and twice on PC.

what do you do to open up the last level of each section? I'm actually trying to S rank them as I go as I find it strangely irresistible, but I missed whatever magical thing I'm supposed to do to unlock the 10th levels.

Speaking of S ranking everything, did we lose the Admiral?

hmm ps2 classics like Disgaea cant be played on a vita by chance can they? May be fun to play it port ably.
the psp versions are playable... and i find the psp/vita versions of Disgaea to be superior to begin with. why would you want to play the ps2 version?

I've got the PSP Disgaea sitting right next to my vita specific Digaea 3. I'm sure D4 will be vita specific at some point.

This logic fails me. ;)

He is right though, the PC version can get a whole heck of a lot more pretty but it can also humble even the highest spec gaming PCs when on max settings. That's why you see it used in a lot of video card reviews.

Another factor is the DLC for Trine 2 is only on PC. (And apparently will only be on the WiiU version console-wise.)

Are you talking about the helices (plural of helix)? There is one hidden in every level and you have to collect the 8 main ones to open up the extra level.

Good on you for trying to S-Rank every level. That can take a lot of precision IMO, I'm just not that patient.

Trine 2 is terrible. The only good thing about it is the graphics.
I've seen you say this a lot. Did you like the first Trine? I really enjoyed the first one, the 2nd one was also very good but very similar to the first one.

I personally found Trine 2 very hard to get into and only after stopping and starting multiple times, did I manage to finish. Also, it is an easy platinum, but in hindsight, I really didn't like the game. The only plus was that I didn't pay for it.

dokura plat is giving me a headache, lol.   basically, at the end you need to do 6 specific stages in a row w/o taking damage.   i've got stages 1-3 down.   stage 4 can go to hell.   what's worse, is stages 5 and 6 should be pretty easy, though i know if i ever get 4 down i'll be so happy/stressed that i'll make some dumb mistake on 5.

@affa [customspoiler="Dokuro spoilers"] Was stage 4 the bird?  I would always fuck up on the bird.  And if by chance I got past the bird without fuck ing up, then I would immediately fuck up on the fish.[/customspoiler]

I actually think I did because I was looking forward to playing Trine 2. I think it was the physics that drove me nuts, I was way frustrated playing that game.

I don't recall having any problem with Trine 2's physics.  Like everyone else, I liked Trine 1 more, but I still enjoyed Trine 2 a good amount.  Oh well, different strokes...

Also, makes no sense having Trine 2 on sale at 3.49 and the first one at 9.99. But, I guess that is a measure of the disparity in quality.

I enjoyed Trine 1 on Steam and just started 2 in PS3 because of the sale. It's hard to get used to controlling all the powers via analog stick instead of a mouse, but not impossible. At least so far in the early levels.

As for shitty games, I'm currently playing Chronovolt on Vita. It's just ok enough for me to continue playing it since I got it for free with PLUS. It's either that or I really miss Marble Madness.

Marble Madness was my jam.

Trine 2 has been on sale before, no? Trine hasn't.
That's not how sales work, everything doesn't just take a turn being on sale. The sales have to be worked out with the publishers ahead of time. Like Frisky said above, Trine 2 is published by Atlus and Trine 1 isn't. Atlus puts their games on sale all the time, whoever the publisher of Trine 1 is doesn't do sales as much.

That's why Hydrophobia has been on sale 10,000 times but I don't recall that stupid PSN Lemmings game ever going on sale despite the fact I've wanted it for years.

And Trine has been on sale before, but never for less than $10.

Spending so close to PS4 launch on digital makes me wonder how Sony will handle b/c with it. After February, they never elaborated on Gaikai, right?

not that anyone probably cares since this is a PSN thread, but just thought I'd throw it out there that Trine 1 is $1.49 for another 45 minutes on Steam. Pretty low requirements to run it too, so if you want to play it that is a really cheap way to do so ^_^

Well, that is the problem with digital sometimes. Between prices at brick and mortar, and steam being so good with how they manage sales, you would guess they learned to imitate that model to breathe new life into old titles. Wishful thinking...

I wouldn't hold your breath on getting anything you currently own on your PS4 without having to re-pay for it.

PSN does a pretty good job on the digital front. There's always room to improve, but they've made some serious strides over the last few years. PS+ is a killer deal!

I know. I'm a Plus user since its inception and that is before IGC was established. The IGC offers great value, even when some months are dry. Also, cloud b/c with titles purchased digitally would be incredible. It sucks for our owned collections, but if we bought HD remasters, we were condoning them to not make b/c such a big deal. They did present Gaikai as a solution to the b/c problem though.

Shit looks like I deleted my save file on Guacamelee (part of the blame falls on the game only having one save file slot).  Looked online and can't find a solid answer, but does anyone remember how long into the game before I get the [customspoiler="Spoiler"]Dimension Swapping[/customspoiler] technique?  I have to get that before I can play the new DLC.

It's so odd that PS+ doesn't auto-upload vita saves.
