Looks true.

URL looks official and so does the document. Of course both could be faked.

Sad if it is true. He was still fairly young. He had reportedly been in not great health for over a year.
Holy crap, that's terrible. My heart and prayers go out to his family. It was also posted on a gaming site, though I'm surprised the other big sites haven't mentioned it yet: http://www.gamerevolution.com/news/nintendo-ceo-satoru-iwata-has-passed-away-33835

I checked in on Rocket League before dinner and it was at 75.3KM but no trophy.  I queued it up again and let it run till I was done with dinner.  78KM and it popped.  I just need 26 more matches/collectible for the plat.
It only counts in public online matches. You can see that it doesnt count in private when looking at the distance on your wheels.
Ah. I've mostly played public matches (and some offline). That is weird, but I enjoy playing public matches so I'll get it eventually.

Turns out the guide was wrong about the location of the last quest item. :D/
Ha, that's like the Ether One threads full of people complaining about a church bell glitch when you can clearly see in their description of what's happening that they left out a step. Good on you for sticking with it and not resigning to it being "glitched." That's one of my biggest pet peeves of this generation: once a game gets a reputation for the occasional glitch, gamers start imagining glitches everywhere when in reality they just haven't solved the puzzle or done the right action.

I can certainly understand people wondering if the trophy/achievement is glitched when more and more games are buggy and not fixed. I have NEVER had a trophy not pop or achievement not unlock. Till GOW Remastered for Vita. It just stops popping trophies. Known issue no fix. A friend of mine ran into a trophy not popping in Batman Origins. I forget the specifics but something do with a collectible he picked up not showing picked up or something. Another friend same game had his Game Save corrupt. Not sure if it is because games are more complex or they rush them out or what.

Usually I assume I haven't done whatever is required to get it to unlock. But every once in a while when dealing with a buggy game the developers never bothered to finish patching you start to wonder. Since there is little to no support with these games you have no way to know sometimes other then reading other people bitching about the same thing on the Internet.

I'm glad I kept looking for info on it. Part of the problem is the different versions of Lego Hobbit, and the quest is different between 3DS/Vita and all the console/PC versions. Makes it hard to find info on the least popular version of the game since the console/PC versions drown out the search results. There's only one faq for the 3DS/Vita version and that's what was wrong.

Additionally the game itself is obtuse in how it handles quests; the quest giver literally just asks for a potato so they can try making potato chips. There's no info about where to find one and the map the potato is in doesn't mention it as one of the things to do in that map. Unless you just randomly destroy the item the potato is hiding in there's no way to find it except for a guide. Even the red brick "Collection Finder" didn't point to it in the map when enabled. The item itself doesn't even say what it is when you pick it up, so there's no reason to conclude it was a potato or for that quest if you do come across it. If somebody hadn't posted a forum thread looking for the same thing I would never have found it.

Only trophy glitch I've run into was for Luftrausers. There's a trophy for blowing a particular type of ship up and there's 1 person who earned it out of 33,501 players on PSNP. It's actually listed at 0%, as is the accompanying "Master Rauser" trophy for getting all the other trophies.

Guessing the guy that earned it cheated somehow, though I'm not sure how you cheat PSN trophies. Maybe he was testing with a version that never got released.

Anyway, always bummed me to not get that trophy. I liked the game quite a bit once I got used to the controls and wanted to have 100% in it.

Speaking of celebrity deaths:

They didn't think that last kid's name through.  He'll be getting high on Betty Crocker's Pot Brownies for years.

Mild: You can't have Tom in your room with your door shut. It must stay open!

Daughter: That's not fair! I have Becky in my room all the time and she's bisexual.

Played Rocket League for about 40 minutes earlier, just stepped into another room briefly and when I came back to my paused game my PS4 sounded like a jet engine.  Time to take a break.

I tried to find either a gif or clip of the "If you can't take the heat" bit from Howard the Duck. Nothing. I'm kinda bummed about that, tbh.

I did find this, though:

Trying to decide whether Lego Hobbit should count as a #JugularJuly title. On the one hand it's a Lego game. On the other I hit those guys so hard body parts flew everywhere.  :whistle2:k

From the sounds of it that game made you want to slit your own so I would count it.

Tyler, since you liked the Attacking Zegeta video:

I don't like "yell-y" videos but yeah that game is super hard. I timeshared the PS4 version and played it for a couple guys and just gave it back to the dude. It's hard as fuck and I didn't have the patience for it at the time.

Also the first trophy is extremely hard to earn, so it's TrueTrophies score is garbage even though it should be super super high. TT should go by all players of the game, not just all players who have earned a trophy.

Ugh I fucking hate ebay. Every time I sell something on it I run into issues with buyers. Starting to question if the few bucks I bring in selling random codes is even worth the headache anymore. Every damn time I get super annoying or weird buyers.

4-for-$20 on select used games at Gamestop starting tomorrow and lasting through 7/26 (spoilered because big):
