Slightly tempted on FFX/X-2, but I already have the Vita versions. Anybody play both and want to sell me on the upgrade?
It looks nicer, and you can toggle between the original and remixed soundtracks.

Unless you're talking about the PS3 version, then it just looks a little better than the Vita version.

And it's free on phones. (With IAP, no doubt)

Why pay for it on Vita?
I checked and yes it has IAPs. There's coin packs and a coin doubler, and probably to really enjoy the game you have to buy the coin doubler at least. And if it's bad you'll need to buy coin packs too. The Vita version may be FTP too, right? Or do we know a price for it?

The animation for the sand/dirt was awful. Plus the music sounds out of tune (along with the sound effect for grabbing a diamond).

Otherwise, the game didn't look so bad.

No redbox near us has Bloodborne. There's one a short drive from work, but I'm not going to get the chance tonight, plus if I get there and the price hasn't updated yet. I guess I'll just wait to buy it new online from Best Buy during the BF bonanza.

Just traded in Battlefront.

By the way Gator, this TV apparently upscales all signals to 4K since it is native. And it is supposed to be really good at it. Good upscaling, being more "future proof" and only being about $500 more are the main reasons I went for 4K over std 1080p.

TV ordered. Delivery Tuesday. Cant wait to see the delivery guys faces when they see my behemoth projection TV they need to haul away for free! BOOM!

EDIT: I got the 65 incher which has worse blacks (#racist) but a wider viewing angle.

I am always skeptical of upscalers in televisions, but some do a good job.

Amazon lightning deal.

$99 bluetooth headseats for $25.

Worth it?

Thought about picking them up, and just saving them as a Christmas present for myself.
I think the deal ended but they're still cheap at $29.99. Tempted to nab these for work. I just bought this other Bluetooth headset for when I workout so I don't really need them...

$44 Trade In? Nice! Going after work. I didn't even play my copy. Fallout 4 has taken priority.

They built a Potbelly by the mall/BestBuy so I think I'll try it. What's the sub to try there again?

Yeah I always have been too but a couple sites say it does it well.

Is it HDR?
Nope. Would have to spend at least $2K on a set with that. The Sony and Samsung with that are both $2K and great TVs but neither had quite the low lag and motion blur as this one. So I saved a few bucks that way. But then again I could always check this one out for a few weeks and if I decided I want to upgrade I can take it back and get the other.

ehh hdr content, like 4k content, is minimal for now and prolly the next year or two anyways.

Watch out if your picking up Redbox games. I just bought Resident Evil Rev. 2 and there's just a photocopy paper inside. I already sent Redbox an email so they better refund me or I'm disputing the charge.

They won't refund you, a couple people in the other primary thread have had this happen and all they do is give you credits as they can't refund purchases...

This is a very common practice to steal games and is actually easy to do with Red Box no being able to combat it yet.

Future proofing is just lying to yourself. In 2 years the "future proofing" you did is replaced by much cheaper, better alternatives anyway.
Well duh, everything gets better and cheaper. It isnt about that. Future proofing is about paying a bit more for some features that arent used much now but will be more prevalent (possibly essential) in the future. If I didnt get a 4k tv now I may have to buy another in a couple years as opposed to keeping this one for 10 years like I did with the behemoth.

Read this as well in the other thread, and it's definitely pretty crappy of them.

Bums if that's what they really say, I'd definitely just do a chargeback.

I'll just call my credit card company and dispute it. I'll wait first to hear back what they say.

Then just dispute the charge on the credit card. I know it isn't a lot of money but they should fix their system so they can refund actual charges and maybe on the next model of vending machine they can add some sort of weight sensor or something.

I had that happen with a rental. Customer service issued me 2 free rentals for the inconvenience. They've always been nice the couple times I had problems (e.g. scratched, unplayable disc). Hopefully they're the same with purchases!

Edit: I missed bestkeeper's post. I meant hopefully they're friendly, not hopefully they issue you credits for purchases. That's garbage.

The reason Redbos can't refund, is it would be easy for people to get stuff, say they never got it, and get a refund on a $60 game.  It is the flaw in their system that there really is no way to verify before the purchase who did what and when

Happened to me once, rented a movie, got a different movie, rather then refund me, they just gave me a rental credit to go rent another movie.  Worse when you spend way more to buy the game used from them seeing as the same model is in place, but harder when you make it up with rental credit on a $8-$20 purchase.

Problems with their business model shouldn't be a customers problem. There are ways to probably fix this but they would cost money so instead they give you some lame credit.
