Holy shit, can't believe Modern Mario Amiibo is still available online. Snagged one.

Somehow, the only thing I wanted that I can't get is Simpsons Season 17 from Target for $8, it's either sold out or just not available online. No way it's sold out because who in their right mind would even want it?!?!?
Season 16 is $8 as well. (And season 20?)

They're not available in store but not for shipping. (But why in the fuck aren't they available digitally?)

And...off to work. Thanksgiving dinner (provided by New Seasons) tomorrow.

Edit:

Seasons 20 is available for shipping. And then looking to see what episodes it has. I don't think you could pay me $8 to watch some of those.

Just like "Prime Day", I'm decisive over which laptop I should get. Since eMMc is suppose to be slower than SSD (and not upgradeable), is there any reason to buy a device with one? Is Celeron too weak of a processor for what I want?  I'm looking for a travel computer (not a 15.6 screen; 11.6 should be enough) to do basic stuff: Web browse, stream Youtube/Netflix, word processing, and play DVD's and Blu Ray's.  The most games I would play on it would be Plants vs. Zombies so nothing too intense in that department.

Have it narrowed down to:

- Dell midnight doorbuster at the official site http://deals.dell.com/productdetail/fncwrh5501bbf7

- Dell at Staples http://www.staples.com/Dell-Inspiron-I3147-10000SLV-Windows-10-Laptop/product_1738551

- Acer at Newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834315134&ignorebbr=1

All of these are $299 (a few dollars less with a Visa checkout promo at Newegg), touchscreens, have Intel Pentium processors or higher, and have 4 GB RAM with 500 GB hard drives.

Any suggestions?

I have 16 and 20 already, got them for about that price (maybe $9 each) a while back. They're done putting the episodes out on DVD so season 17 is the last one and the only one I don't have. It's more of a full collection thing then a "I wanna watch Simpsons season 17" thing.

Hard to see the specs while on mobile. You need touch only if you think you will use it as a tablet. Otherwise I think it is a gimmick. No idea what a Pentium processor is on a new computer. Dell door buster only has 4gb RAM. You can get by with it but I would make sure you can upgrade it to at least 8.

Personally I would spend more on a i5 with 8gb and skip touch screen.

Friend got it to work using a Walmart GC as payment.

Sitting around waiting for someone before I head out, looking for deals on stuff I don't need or want since there's nothing better to do. Must be the holiday season.

I was tempted by that $10 Tomb Raider Definitive Edition at Target but it looks like it's already OOS everywhere. Only 2 within 100 miles. Dodging that bullet, I guess.

I had been on the fence both times the Atelier games went on sale but finally went ahead and picked up Ayesha for the Vita. I'm enjoying it quite a bit more than I thought I would. Very relaxing game for playing while the radio or TV is on.

Also enjoying the crafting system in Fallout 4. And cheating to get my SPECIAL stats all up to 10+.

I picked this up in my sleepy haze overnight, it might come back again in the morning. It's just a personal+work laptop for me (no games) and I've historically had no qualms with dell.

Edit - to add some context, for $100 more there's an appreciable difference between an i3 and an i5. The extra memory and disk space is just gravy over what you're looking at. But $100 is $100. There's an added benefit if you have an ms store close by as it's easy to return if you have ragrets.

Since it's just a remaster of a PS2 game and the graphical difference between PS3 and PS4 isn't going to be that big of a difference, I'll probably just grab the PS3 version as well.

Definitely weird. Wolfenstein old blood for $6 after coupon is pretty decent. I might get j stars for vita too, but $11 feels a bit rich since I've already played the ps4 version so much.

I don't think I can bring myself to buy axiom verge. I guess we'll see how much willpower I have.

Since the PS3 version is digital-only and has a separate trophy list, I might get that. The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 has a similarly strange PS4/PS3 pricing scheme.
Same physical only on PS4 for that one too though. I know Tyler is going to buy both versions since he loves adventure games so much.

Hmm, trying to buy The Old Blood on PSN but it keeps asking for my password and won't process the transaction. May just wait until I get back to my PS4.

When I was younger Match Game was never one of my favorite. I think because I was such a purist and the game is very subjective, like one contestant could get the easiest question in the world and win easily and someone else could get a super tough one. Also the celebrities would fuck around and end up screwing the contestants sometimes.

Anyways re-watching it now, it's pretty damn funny. The celeb panel is pretty iconic.

And I LOVE that the audience boos stupid answers, especially from the contestants.

Ah, adding funds to my wallet before completing the purchase did the trick. Never ran into that problem before. PSN store may be getting lots of traffic right now though.

Well shit. Gotta see what I can delete from my PS4 when I get home. Just got the message that my hard drive was out of storage space when I tried to download The Old Blood.

Thansk for the reply.

I don't "need" a touchscreen but I'm thinking future upgrades to Windows will require touchscreen capability to navigate. The doorbuster is an i3 while the others are Pentiums as opposed to Intel Atom and Celeron; all look to be upgradeable to 8 GB of RAM. Seems like the ones that are on sale for $200 or less right now have eMMc drives, 2GB Ram, and Atom/Celeron processors (mostly Asus models)

In comparison, my Sony Vaio (http://www.cnet.com/products/sony-vaio-vpceb23fm-bi/specs/) is working great as I type this.

If I can get something with similar specs or better as my current laptop but in a smaller size, I'd be set.

10% off amazon for digital code on psn store.

What are some of these games?
Hogs of war? Jacob jones and bigfoot?
Hogs of War is a PS1 game I gues, never heard of it. Jacob Jones is a small little puzzle/adventure game. I think it has a lot of puzzles in it, I haven't bought or played it cuz it's $3 but I am cheap.

Is there something wrong with your current laptop? Seems much better then the 3 you linked to. MS tried to ram Metro down our throats. A majority of users don't want it. They dialed it back on Win 10. Can't see them making a hard push for it again.

So much this..

Plus if you are worried about future upgrades to Windows, you should not be buying a $300 laptop.

Thanks for the link. The 15.6 would be too big to lug around, plus there are no Microsoft stores here in Florida.

I'm glad you mentioned Dell because it seems like people tend to hate on them. I had a Dell desktop for about 10 years before I upgraded to my Vaio. Dell tech support was even nice enough to tell me how to fix problems free of charge - years after the warranty expired. I'd gladly buy from Dell again.

Instead I've stayed away from HP and Acer. I've heard many stories about overheating; in fact, that's exactly what happened to my mother's Compaq. It got to the point where it wouldn't last minutes while the back was scorching (this after using a stand with cooler fan for years).

My sister (who got the Compaq for her) insists on HP and got her a laptop which seems to be working fine for her. Maybe HP laptops are better now? Are Acers cool now?

Dell has a least one security issue (self signed cert that was compromised). If you end up with a Dell you should make sure to run the Dell removal tool they put up last week (or maybe this week). I think there is another similar issue but didn't get the details. This is simple software stuff and not a problem with the hardware.

The laptop I have now is one I use only at home.

The three I was choosing from will replace my (now embarassing bad) Toshiba netbook: http://laptops-specs.blogspot.com/2010/06/toshiba-mini-notebook-nb255-n250.html

Maxed out the RAM to 2GB and I can't even get Netflix to load. Has a single core Atom and no HDMI port so it can't play HD video. Stutters when I play DVD's and eventually stops buffering. It's only good for basic word processing at this point.
Wasn't it $10 on PSN not too long ago? That's exactly why I waited on the physical copy, figured we'd see a price like this on PSN soon.
I think it was $10 or so during that sale. I know I bought it then anyway. New Blood came yesterday from BB.
