Now that I actually looked up the date mechanics for FFVII, it looks like it'll be easier than I thought to get Barret selected since it mainly boils down to dialogue choices. I also didn't realize (or forgot) that you get a Master Summon materia for killing Emerald Weapon and a Gold Chocobo for killing Ruby Weapon, so maybe those two will be the main obstacle to getting the plat.

The new version isn't going to be the same experience since the developers want to change the battle system somehow, and it's unknown whether they'll change any part of the story to accommodate the later FFVII-related games that added other plot stuff.

 
Picked up the Bloodborne DLC The Old Hunters for $17.99 after 10% code from Amazon. Hopefully today I can get the platinum and start the DLC.

Yes. The story isn't so touching or exotic that it needs to be experienced. I might play the port if I can get it super cheap, but I played it for a bit on steam or ps1 classic and man it is hard to look at.

Yeah, I figured. Agents of Shield is the only one I ever get that message on.

I just looked it up because I was curious. Here are the only ones you'll get a commercial for (and it's only a short one in the beginning):

  • Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
  • Scandal
  • Grimm
  • New Girl
  • How To Get Away With Murder
 
I didn't really do any shopping over the weekend. Went up to Flagstaff with my sister and niece and nephew. We took them to the North Pole Experience where they got to visit Santa's workshop. It was better than I expected and lasted about 2 hours. They got to dress teddy bears which I read they donate the toys after to underprivileged children. They met Mrs. Claus and ate cookies with hot chocolate. Attended Elf University which said to be good and stuff. Then wrote letters to Santa before meeting him and taking pics.

The next day we went to the Grand Canyon since they've never been there. It snowed a little and was cold as heck. It was 11 degrees when we woke up but went up to 33. Pictures really don't do it justice. When we drove back to Phoenix to visit my other sister it was definitely warmer.

I'm just waiting for Disney Infinity 3.0 to come in the mail from BestBuy. Today I bought Hatoful Boyfriend on Vita, Castle Crashers, Unwritten Tales 2 and the RDR/MP bundle for PS3 using that coupon. I'm happy most deals were online and early.

They're mostly ABC shows. I usually only watch Modern Family, Grey's Anatomy, HTGAWM and Agent Carter on Hulu now. Guess there's no point in upgrading to no ads after seeing that list. I didn't know there were exclusions. Thanks for the heads up!
 
I need to stop being a cheap fuck and just pay for shipping from kmart. In store pick up takes forever. And it's usually not the employees, it's the moronic customers holding up the line.

IT'S NOT IN STOCK LADY! THERE'S NOTHING CUSTOMER SERVICE CAN DO. SHE CAN'T MAKE IT MAGICALLY APPEAR!

Standing around and acting passive aggressively isn't going to solve anything.

A gold chocobo for beating Ruby was always like a slap in the face. I breed an S rank gold chocobo and get knights of the round so I can be beat him and your prize is a low rank gold chocobo that can hardly win a race?

 
It's a good thing I wasnt planning on going for the Mad Max plat.  I was looking at some of the challenges last night and according to the game I had completed 0/191 scavenging locations when I actually have well over 50.  Hooray for glitches?

Probably not a glitch. That one shows that way until you complete the one that that is a lower number first. It is odd the way they did those with stacking numbers on multiple challenges.

Chase Rewards is offering 10% cash back at Amazon through the end of the year if anyone else is rocking a Chase card. I think you may have to activate the rewards like you do every quarter.

So basically yes, wait. Any overwhelming praise you've heard for it will ultimately end up with it being a let down for you. Any changes/additions can only make it better.

Yeah final fantasy 7 looked like ass 5 years ago when I tried to play it and the gameplay was terribly slooowww. I will wait for the remake or whatever.

I don't think the refs in college football are better, I think they just call penalties less. Whether that is better or worse I can't say for sure, but the over officious jerks as Marv Levy called them sure do seem to ruin NFL games way too often. If you're going to call it once then you have to call it every time, otherwise it causes an imbalance and affects the outcome instead of regulating the game.

It's bullshit that I'm blacked out from the Colts-Bucs game on Sunday Ticket because I'm in the "local" broadcast area, yet I can't watch it on regular TV because my local Fox station is out of Louisville and they're showing the Bengals game.

Hey, you and Sage are derex are generally the people who I most closely see eye to eye with on most gaming opinions but I will never get the adoration dumped upon FF7. I was playing better RPGs before, during and after its original release.

For clarification, I'm not hating just to hate. Its not a terrible game by any means. Its just not the end all be all its made out to be, nor is someone really missing anything by skipping it entirely.

Nothing looked like FF7 when it came out. The thing sold Playstations. I'm not sure what's so hard to get about the adoration bit.

Its not the presentation, its the story. It just didn't do anything for me. The main character and villain are both annoying, shallow and uninteresting. The party characters are likeable. It looked great at the time and had a wow factor, but I don't get the adoration to this day that still claims it to be one of the greatest games of all time.

I get the adoration nostalgiawise. I think I've played through it two or three times and did all the giant monster nonsense and whatnot and I enjoyed it at the time. But I also think that every final fantasy since that one has improved upon the previous one so ff7 feels like janky ass in 2015.

now ask me about final fantasy tactics.

Also, I polished off everything but awesomeness in rayman legends, so nothing left but that sweet daily grind.

FFTactics is absolutely incredible. That game will forever hold a spot in my top 5.
