Nah, I love Destiny. I'm just running out of stuff to do. Today I was working on leveling up No Land Beyond because I really have nothing else to level. I would go and get a good pulse rifle, but I have Red Death and it works just fine.

And I love how this AR nerf comes after I just played a bunch of Crucible matches to buy the New Monarchy auto rifle. It's like they knew.

At least you got to use a prenerf AR in all those crucible matches though, right?

RIGHT?

I really enjoyed Destiny at first but I'm not interested in farming the same areas/bosses over and over again.  Get's old.  I got more than my money's worth out of crucible though.

Ok I got remote play working. If something uses the DS4 touchpad, how do I do it via remote play?

Edit: Nevermind, you can't. That's fucking stupid. I'm not buying another DS4 just for remote play.

I thought Dead to Rights Retribution was awesome. I even got the dlc.

Im a sucker for bad games tho

but the game takes a huge turn from regular gun fights against thugs into a techno police take over (spoiler)(Gac? some acronym) and you get some crazy techno op guns and I thought the dog was actually awesome. The dog levels are pretty lame, but I think they are quick and painless, but the dog was kinda like the boomerang blades in RAGE. It was just another button you would click and your dog would go kill someone. It is fun how pissed he gets, kinda like walker from spec ops, where he just yells 'fuckn kill them boy' n 'get him shadow' and your dog jumps at their necks etc. I thought it was good and at least worth a playthrough. I got the plat but still need the 100% dlc. that and doggie bag knl2 dlc is gonna be hard to finish, lol.

Huh? The touchpad works in remote play, like in destiny you press it and it brings up your ghost.

Here's my approach to Destiny:

Don't fucking play it because it's stupid.
It's one of the same reasons I stopped playing Borderlands 1, when I realized I was chasing loot to make the grind to get more loot shorter I discovered I wasn't really having "fun" i was just scratching some primal need to become incrementally more powerful. It didn't help that my first character got wiped 1/4th of the way through due to save corruption.

Almost every game nowadays has some b.s. mechanic to get you to play over and over in order to have some minimal gain over the AI/other players. If I find myself in a cycle like that I tend to stop after a while.

Admittedly, there are times when it takes me too long to realize this.

I just realized I have about 20 games in my backlog now.  I had been clearing things out and thought I was down further.

But I feel pretty good anyway since I know a lot of you have a much bigger pile (of shit).

And I dont have any RPGs or long ass games in the mix.

You guys talking about expenisve meals, thought I would jump in.  Most expensive meal I have taken my wife on was $200 for the melting pot.  Fondue that is really good, fun long night, and a decent bottle of wine.  Our other favorite restaurant that is special occasions only, runs about $120 for both of us, but thats getting apps, 12 oz steaks, and dessert with a beer.

Not sure how many other cities do this, but Denver does Restaurant week where tons of restaurants do 4 course or 3 course meals for 52.80 a couple (Our altitude).  Last year they just raised it to $60 per couple but still not bad.  A lot of very expensive restaurants participate so it allows somewhat ordinary people to enjoy nicer meals.

For instance a place like Del Frisco's here(fancy fancy steak house), you get a salad, (4 entrees choices including an 8 oz filet), and chocolate mousse for $30 a person, normally the steak is around $30 so you are getting the extras for free.

Pretty cool idea around here and places completely fill up

What a crock of shit that place is. Pay us 200 dollars to cook your own food!

I get that people like it, but not a fan.
it's all about the experience, the mood, and honestly I like the food. it always tastes good.

That $200 includes a $40 bottle of wine and the tip. not to mention that includes salad, cheese fondue, 5 meats, and then dessert fondue.

I could see how the price of meals would spike up quite a bit if you are ordering expensive wine to go with it but as a teetotaler, spending $500 on just the food portion of a meal for 2, to me, is just unfathomable. That's eating 10X at a pretty good restaurant, 20X at a decent restaurant, or the "absurd" price of a 20 GB PS3 at launch.

I would faint from spending that much, as is the $150 we have spent at a restaurant makes me sick.... But it is what it is for special occasions.

Jesus Christ people, do you even Groupon?

Well, my house just ran out of oil so I sure hope they come today.

They were supposed to come Monday, and didn't because it snowed. They don't deliver to my area on Tuesday and Wednesday, so they were coming yesterday, but it snowed again. They said they'll be here before noon today, so we'll see.
Man I hope they come too. Mad cold here in NY probably even a bit colder out your way. Was -2 when I got in my car this morning.

My most expensive meal was at Melting Pot as well. There was 8 of us and I think the total was around $350 before tip. But it was for my birthday, so I didn't have to pay anything.

That was also when I learned that if I go out to eat, I don't like having to cook my own food.

Restaurant weeks are fun.

Actually good news for me. Gives me a chance to play some other games finally.
I was deleting games off of my PS3 late last night when I realized I still had the phantom share of Destiny installed. I hadn't played it since October so I thought I'd fire it up before deleting it. After downloading the updates, I saw Xur and decided to upgrade my Suros and Icebreaker and deleting my BadJuju pulse rifle for the shards. Then I read they are nerfing the AR's again and was instantly reminded of why I quit playing Destiny.

Not a fan of games that change the rules as you go along, it just makes the remorse I have for spending too much time grinding for upgrades that much worse.

Nice. I don't think anything in the game is more difficult than that. You've already cleared the peak.
Yo tyler, help a guy out that sucks at Rogue Legacy. I watched you play it a lot but it hasn't helped me much...I'm wondering if I should be using that rune that makes the enemies easier so I can find more blueprints first. I'm having trouble with the analog controls also, should I use the d-pad for better control? I often jump towards an enemy and then swing my sword only to do it in the wrong direction lol.

Watching a video of Apotheon makes me want to play it even though I am already playing 3 others.  Might not play as fun as it looks but it looks real cool anyway.

Nice job getting the plat for Saboteur that quick George. I really enjoyed that game but it takes a while to get through it all.
Thanks to you and pancakes for telling me it was a good game. I really enjoyed the hell out of it, I didn't find it a chore at all to get all those ambient freeplay challenges. Maybe it was just the right game at the right time for me. I'm also having more fun playing games again.

I'm not gonna lie, I ran in to that glitch where everything spawns on one side so all I had to deal with was him. I don't know how to make that happen, but I was grateful for it after my 100 attempts.

Um, I think gold is more valuable than blueprints. Those runes that make things easier decrease gold collection a bit, but not by much. I do think they decrease the chances of you finding blueprints though. You can use one to make enemies a little bit easier if you want but I definitely recommend just powering up your attack strength and having the strongest sword you can. But I did use one of those runes for a while during my original run. Matt used 5 I think, we all made fun of him.

I use the analog stick without issue for the most part, but I'm sure the d-pad would be more exact like it is in almost all 2D games like that.

Fair enough, I guess the game just isn't for me then. I don't really seem to be getting much better through my upgrades. I'm still getting instant death from anything other than a standard enemy, or I leave the room to find a better path and die from spikes.
