Puzzle games suggestions for the GBA?? (Besides Chu Chu Rocket!)

Hi folks!

I'm finding that I have less and less time to play in one sitting, and so my most used game is Wario Ware.

I have enjoyed playing the flash version of Zoo Keeper and would love a good addictive puzzle game for the GBA (I can't afford a DS for a long time!).

I recently picked up Chu Chu Rocket, but it is a little more cerebral than I prefer--I would like a bit of strategy, sure, but what I find more relaxing is the quick thinking kind of play of Wario Ware and Zoo Keeper.

Thanks for any suggestions

THe Rampage Puzzle and Tiny Toons Wacky Stackers puzzle games both can be found very cheap. Not the greatest but decent variants on the Tetris theme
You can't beat Dr. Mario for a simple, fun puzzle game.
But it's already pretty much included in wario ware.

Mario's Picross for GB (not GBA). Best puzzle game ever, in my opinion. You have a grid with different numbers on the top and sides, and have to kind of etch a picture out of the grid using the numbers as clues. It's tough to explain, but the game itself is friggin' perfect. Long, too. Worth looking around EB/GameStop/Ebay for. In fact, here ya go:

$15 @ EB: http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/217071.asp

Ebay auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=62053&item=8163502372&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

"Dr. Wario," which is just like "Dr. Mario," is an unlockable game in Wario Ware.

I bought Pokemon Puzzle (GBC) from EBGames this week. It's supposed to be like Super Puzzle Fighter (GBA) and Kirby's Avalanche (SNES). With codes and the EB saver card, the total came to $4.80

I also recommend Pokemon Puzzle, but it's like Tetris Attack (SNES) not Super Puzzle Fighter or Kirby's Avalanche (those are like Puyo Pop).

CIMA: The Enemy is a good puzzle/adventure/rpg game.

Not fast paced, but fun. It should last a while. Replay is okay but not great. It does get really annoying at points where you just can't figure out how many people you need on a switch to get it to activate. I wouldn't sya you can just pick it up and play 5-10 mins and get somewhere wher eyou feel you have accomplished something. But 20-25 mins can get you the feeling.

I tried Denki Blocks. Not much fun. It was cheap for a reason.

They can both be found at TRU for $5-10. CIMA is a bit hard to find though.

Advance Wars 2 isn't a puzzle game but it is my favorite GBA game. Not a 5-10 min pick up and play. But like CIMA 20-25 mins and you can get a fulfilled feeling. The ability to save during a battle makes it able to do this.

You may already have AW2 though. Doesn't everyone? They come glued to the GBA don't they?

Wow, thanks folks!!

These are a lot of good suggestions. Being a cheapass (of course), I'm leaning towards Pokemon Puzzle Challenge first, and then I'll probably try to get Bookworm or Snood or Super Collapse. I have Kirby's Avalanche, so I have kind of done the Puyo style game enough....even though it is a great game.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

get pacman collection, on top of having pacman, you get pack attack, a really fun puzzle game (think baku baku animal)

Well I just give what ever I think are good puzzle games, be it GB, GBC, or GBA.

Yoshi's Cookie
Yoshi
Kirby's Block Ball
Kirby's Tilt 'n' Tumble - Sort of a pseudo puzzle game
Pokemon Puzzle League (GBC)
Donkey Kong
Kirby Star Stacker
Krusty's Fun HOuse
Tetris Blast
Tetris Attack
Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo
Wario Blast

Basically those are most of the ones from my collection.

Pokemon Puzzle Challenge is the fourth release of games in the Tetris Attack style, after a terrible one for the GB (you couldn't move blocks while others fell, it was about as good as the one you'll find programmed for a TI-83), Pokemon Puzzle League (N64) which had an extra 3d mode (which is good or bad...I had a few versus games with friends which would last for 30+ minute a round because it wasn't difficult to get an 18 chain in that version), and Pokemon Puzzle Challenge (GBC) which is pretty close to the original Tetris Attack, though in the Versus against the computer they have health bars instead of an actual virtual player (which I'm not so much a fan of).

But, yeah, PPC is a great game, I was really happy when I found it over the summer for $15.

Denki Blocks was a really good collection of puzzles - but that was all it was. If you were expecting a puzzle / action game you were bound to be disappointed. I knew what it was before I got it, and getting through it was fun.

I just got PPC in the mail today. It wasn't what I was expecting, but it's a really fun game anyway. I got a very nice (clean) copy from EB, so it's definately worth the $4.80. I think I'll be playing this for a while  Sorry about mixing it with Puyo Pop (I'm still trying to find a similar, cheap game for the GBC though).
