Most of the stuff that Gamestop price drops tends to be in line with universal price drops, but because not all of them are, this thread is warranted. Also, if the price of the new item has dropped in price, expect the used item price to similarly follow suit and be $2-$5 less than its new retail price. Sometimes the used version drops first, but both are often around the same time.

Many of these items are sold out in stores since they're old and won't get restocked (Gamestop, after all, tends to make most of its money from selling used games), so you'll have to do a zip code store search for the appropriate title to hopefully find it in your area if you can't buy the item online.

All of this information is presented on the Gamestop website, but because of their new "Price Drop" algorithm, it doesn't really display when new price drops hit. Since I started keeping a running list for current platforms, I figure its easy enough to do a comparison to my lists every week. I generally run the reports once a week on Wednesday mornings, because I've noticed most price drops occur on Monday or Tuesday mornings so I wanted to catch those on the weekly report. If you find price drops sooner than my weekly Wednesday morning report, feel free to post them in the thread so others can get a "head start". I no longer have time to maintain this thread due to my new job but feel free to continue posting Gamestop price drops in this thread or if anyone wants to take over just let me know. Thanks!

New but opened with a promise of a finger print on the disc and an everyday reminder of the funky armpit smell of the store every time you open the case :D
 
I may go grab Blitz 2.

I always thought a sports game might actually be fun if the players were out to hurt each other. I hope that's the case!
 
Picked up a copy of DMC4 CE for $29.99 from Fred Meyer. Unlike a gutted copy from GS, it's brand new and sealed (ie, perfect except the Checkpoint price tag on it).
 
Thinking about picking up Ninja Gaiden and Blitz for PS3.. is Blitz worth it at that price? Reviews on Amazon was throwing me off for a while.. need some CAG insight.

I really liked Blitz the League 2....was a lot of fun. Once you beat it though you will probably be looking to trade it in. TOTALLY worth it for 20.00 though. I paid 40.00 not too long ago and I felt I got my moneys worth.

After last week's long list of drops, we get almost nothing this week. Sad. Call of Duty: World at War is most likely a temporary price drop as it didn't drop on the PS3.

Well, Moon (DS) dropped to $19.99, but that may have been a sale rather than a permanent price drop.
 
Skipped last week since the # of price drops seemed skimpy. Here's drops from the past two weeks. Somewhat odd that the Saints Row 2 Collectors Edition on the 360 dropped to $49.99 but the PS3 version dropped to $59.99. Oh well, I'm guessing no one cares anyway since it was on sale at Amazon yesterday cheaper...

Mostly EA price drops this week across the board, which at least helps with the lack of price drops the last few weeks. What sucks though is that certain EA titles that dropped from $30 to $20 on the PS3 did not drop on the 360, such as Battlefield: Bad Company and Mercenaries 2. I guess they still sell well enough on the 360 that EA didn't think a price drop was warranted. Also of note is the Ultimate Shooting Collection dropping to $20 on the Wii. Nice to see Mirror's Edge and EndWar drop down to $40 MSRP's finally. AoT still holds in there on price, at $20, with $18 used, it should be pick ups during the next coupon round.

GTA IV SE is also tempting since I just saw one the other day, but I always end up ditching my GTA games later and not playing them all the way through anyways.
 
somewhat of a decent week of price drops this past week, since it includes Banjo Kazooie and Too Human. (Of course, Banjo was $20 on Amazon last week and it's $20 on Amazon now.) The 360 Atlus titles are finally down to $20, so that might be the clincher for some as well.
