I guess the racket and clank: all for one stat guide cover is highly ymmv, hahaha ...can't complain, it was free. Maybe I can get them to cut the sleeves off a ME3 shirt so I can sew them back on after I pilfer their dumpster. \\:D/
 
I bought a couple full price guides at Best Buy today along with some games, but I didn't get the 15% off guides deal.

Is this because the games I bought were with the @gamer coupons (Dragon Age 2 and Resistance 3). So the computer chose the @gamer coupon promotion rather than the guide promotion because it was better?

I'm just now figuring this out. Am I correct?

Picked up some ME3/ N7 shirts today for $0.01, they had already pulled AC:R guides. That would have been an awesome guide to find.

What is N7 anyway in Mass Effect?
 
yo if anyones in the chicagoland area gots extras,i'll buy guides off you for 3-5 bucks each. Especially CE ones. I can never get in on these deals on any consistent basis.

The Chicago meetups. I think the Galloping Ghost Arcade is our new meetup spot. Not sure when the next one will be, but we are trying to get it set up.

LOL I deleted my post after you quoted it. I wish there were some sorta meetups around here cuz I really don't like shipping stuff cross country anymore. It's such a pita, especially when you give your tally for shipping/DC costs n get a 2 day debate bout what it normally costs THEM for it.:booty:

EDIT: I'm fairly certain that arcade has some games that must be roms or something, since I don't remember all of those games on their list as being dedicated cabinets back in the day and I certainly don't remember MK Armageddon or any of the ones on the right hand list being arcade titles.

I had a similar thing happen to me last Friday - I picked up Resistance 3 with the @Gamer coupon and the Kid Icarus Uprising Guide (which was on sale for $9.99) and the promo didn't apply.
However, I was lucky enough to find a Pokemon Black & White CE Guide for a penny so I didn't want to force the issue.

The BB Employee said it usually only applies if you buy a matching guide and game, but I've bought random penny guides with non-matching games in the past and the promo came up.
15% off a penny - Now that's cheap! :lol:

Some of their machines are frankensteined. Some are PS3s in an arcade cabinet. The owner joined CAG, but IDK if he logs in anymore. We did have a $12 CAG rate (instead of $15), but I haven't been there for a while, so I am not sure if it still applies.
 
And here I was hoping this bumped thread meant a new batch of pennied guides. But no. Oh well. Best Buy has a buch of CE guides that I'd be more than happy to appropriate from them. Also, where do you guys get t-shirts at Gamestop? I don't think any of my Gamestops sell t-shirts, pennied or otherwise.
 
On the way to get my copy of Lollipop Chainsaw ( Play it ! its a riot ! ) My girl at GS hands me a box that had Both Lego Guides , Ass Creed R guide a few pennied out comp games and ME shirts and wallets . SWEET !! Putting extra Lego guides on the trading list if anyone is looking

Crap. I picked up Disney Universe for $8 a while ago from BB and I'd probably snag the hardcover guide for if I get stuck or wanna try getting to 100% on it.
 
Tempted to check my TRU to see if any guides are there. Anybody still finding Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One guides? That's the only guide I'm actively searching for at this time, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

I saw 1 copy at BB, but I can't remember which one. Of course the stock locator doesn't show any in my area except for the store 30 miles away that keeps the majority of their guides in the back stock room. I'll be up in that area in a week or so, so hopefully they keep them.

After looking at the achievement guides online, it doesn't sound like the type of game where you'd look at a guide. I'd still love to find one just because I like Disney stuff.

Yeah. Since I don't really pay attention to the drops whenever they happen due to my closest two stores being super quick on pulling them anymore I just post whatever I've been informed may have dropped.

I was in best buy yesterday and pokemon G/S rang up at full price. fuck!!! Now I hope they still have it tomorrow. :censored:

I don't care how you post them. I just didn't read it closely enough to realize it was BB and not GS. Feel free to continue posting them how ever, just make a note of what the store is (Which you did). Once again, thanks for the tip on the drop.

You're quite welcome. There's a page where I guess you could do the SKU swap trick and it brings up a small description of the guide along with the price it's currently at in the system. I'll have to cut/paste that from his email when I check it later on.

Im probably one of the only people who bought the DU LE on release! I got it for like $20 in Frys by PM to amazon during release week. I was wrong to ever think this was going to be a good score! i did like the hard cover and the cute print too. hehe!
 
Did BB figure out a way to thwart penny guides? Grabbed about 8 guides and all of them had been deleted from the system so they couldnt sell them to me:

Originally it was a trading ban, where he got a loan from someone in our old flipping group and I guess never paid him back among other issues from what I saw on the feedback page. But the thing is, the loan deal was made OFF of CAG, so I still don't understand why the hell he received the negative feedback on here.:roll:

He emailed me about 2-3 weeks ago saying he tried logging into CAG and found himself banned for some reason. I didn't ask what(if anything) he might've done, so I can't speak to what happened.

Maybe you'll find an associate who's nice enough and knows how to search stores for it. The online tracker showed none when I checked. And the way it was searched, in store, did not seem like the normal search method I've seen some BB employees use.
