SaySwap Game Trading Community - General Discussion

I signed up on SaySwap yesterday. I bought one token and mailed out my 360 game "Kameo" to a member right away to get more purchase points.

I have 13 games on my "Want List". I hope I get at least one game.

But if everyone thinks like that, no one will send out games.

Anyways, I increased my "Want List" to 23 games. Hopefully I will recieve something within a few weeks.

Here's a new deal from SaySwap:

Just got a notice that Saints Row has been shipped to me - not bad for $4.95 token. Its actually worked out well for me - done over 20 trades but then again I also ship out games as well......:D

This site never ceases to frustrate me. I can't give away my token and points. I just want to get something and cash out. This site is full of scammers and immature idiots.
Goozex at least tells you where you are in line.

Goozex.com recently removed the queue length feature
They update page talks about some updates they're doing for new features....

Guessing Goozex removed que length feature because it was discouraging users in legth of time to get a game since the goozex community is so tiny

It was actually removed because they've expanded their community to involve Canada and Bermuda. Since sending to outside countries is optional, it complicated the coding for the queue. Good try though.
Site's down. Are they gone? I just used my final 2 trading tokens and am waiting for the games. Uh oh....

Site's working fine for me. Unfortunately, I just signed in for the first time in weeks to find that someone sent me an offer to send a game, then declined it, twice. It would have been a good opportunity for me to use my remaining points, but I didn't know about it. Didn't they used to send e-mails when a request was made?

I signed up, and got nowhere. I ended up cancelling my account and moving to gametz.com.

I -still- get f'ing emails from them saying there are users who want to swap games. F you sayswap.

Well, I finally managed to get rid of my remaining points, and now I'm done with the site. Aside from the cost of nearly $5 per trade, there's too many people out there that either ignore your game request entirely, or say "Yeah you have points, but I only trade game for game!" Kinda defeats the purpose of building the points up.

Sorry, Cheapy, I tried, but I'm done with Sayswap.

The best trade sites are all free, gametz.com and the CAG trading forum. Why anyone would actually pay a site $5 just so they can trade videogames with someone else is beyond me, even ebay seller fees are normally less than that.

While free is definitely best (and I completely agree with you on GameTZ and CAG being good trading forums), Goozex only charges $1 per trade and gives the benefit of assigning points. Goozex's point system makes things much easier than trying to trade games 1 for 1, as you don't have to worry about finding a match for your wants with the wants of someone else.

Well, I'm stuck with two trading tokens, with no way to ship out games to people.

I need to get two GBA games fast, to make my purchase semi worthwhile.

Can anyone here help a fellow CAGer?
I spent eight bucks on tokens, and I need to get rid of them.

Well, I finally received an email that a game is being shipped to me.

I am cautiously optimistic, though I have been checking outside to see if the Apocalypse is here.

Only took five months, too.

I actually managed to get 1 game out of Sayswap. Fortunately, it was Rocket Slime DS which basically made my initial $5 worth the cost. I had actually forgotten about the site since it was just scam, and then all of a sudden in the mail I had a game show up. I still have a trade left and some points, but I'm not holding my breath!
Did the game show up?
Well, the world's still here, isn't it? Of course it didn't.

After 1 week, I checked the site to make sure it wasn't an error. Sure enough -- it claimed that the game was in transit. Shipped.

Now, it claims that they guy who was going to send it to me cancelled.

They've been spamming me almost daily for the past two weeks, telling me that another member has a game I want and that I should buy additional points or tokens.

Now that my points and token have been refunded, it's been silent. I continue to get what I've gotten for months: nothing.

And now I know why.

I went through my list. Anyone who has one of the games on my list is listed as "Request direct trade". Even for crappy 10 point games. What a crock.

Well, I finally got a game.

In the mail, I received PS2 Valkyrie Profile 2. Complete, with some tape damage to the insert, but so what. A real, actual game mailed to me. Never thought I'd see the day.

Thanks, SaySwap. It's been fun.

SAYSWAP sucks bigtime. 3 games were supposedly shipped to me the 1st way back in begining of January and 2 more in the past months and I never got them and the response from suckswap was "oh you must be having some bad luck!" I was like WHAT, did they really say that I am just having bad luck? They also gave me 1 confirmation number and said I shouold go to the Post Office and ask where my package is. WHAT THE HELL AM I PAYING THEM FOR? I sent out 5 older but decent games Halo,THUG2,MAFIA,DESTROY ALL HUMANS, and THIEF and what I got was Ninja Gaiden OG, True Crime LA and GTA SA. the only reason I am complainig is they keep telling me these other games that I really want have shipped and then they never show up. F em, I am done, your suckswap site is .END RANT

veedubkid your complaining about not receiving every game on your list? When you have already received 3 games? Dude you need to settle down you should be happy you got 3 games out of the deal. How would sayswap be able to track the package when they aren't the ones shipping the game. Think about it man, other people are having worst luck then you are!
I have done really well on the site and I think Goozex just sucks ass compared to SaySwap. I can't get anything on Goozex and SaySwap keeps adding new features to the site which makes it better because adventually they will probably blow the other sites out of the water because they are invested by good companies and have a better setup.

LOL. more like sayswap will become the next Gameshare. Belly up and someone had to take them over.

If you're doing well on SaySwap, well more power to you.

It took me six months to get one game. And I wasn't really picky. I had a long list with varying numbers of points. I just happened to get lucky in the game I received, although the length of wait time was anything but lucky.

I do realize that people who do direct trades have a smoother experience, but then that means the whole point/token system is broken. If I have to set up my own trades, I can do that on CAG.

So he should be happy and enjoy the site because there are people getting screwed worse than him???? The fact that you agree that others are having a harder time speaks volumes about how terrible sayswap is.

You say that Goozex sucks ass yet there has been articles praising them in magazines & newspapers, not to mention the praise of tons of CAGs. They have been continually updating and adding features to their site(with more new stuff to come, including a subsite for trading all old school games) and even have a Goozex representative (Mark) here on CAG to answer questions and take suggestions.
I personally have had tons of success on Goozex including tons of rare old school(ps1/DC) stuff. The only reason I see you having problems on Goozex is because so many people here in the U.S. are hesitant and unwilling to send outside the United States, thus your selection would be highly limited.
Perhaps Sayswap has a larger Canadian following?

To be fair Sayswap wasn't the worst site I ever used but it was damn close. It took me forever to get rid of my credit there and I was grabbing at anything I could. IMHO I have to agree that Sayswap will eventually tank like crap sites like Gamershare.

Got Zelda and Monkey Ball for the Wii sent to me on Fri - i was literally about to go out any buy zelda for $50 at BestBuy but it showed up from sayswap - or should I say CheatCC.sayswap.com which is where I signed up. Seems like there are a bunch of new users as Im getting all these random games now... :applause:
