If you need a *LOT* of anime for your money... Amazon has marked down the Slayers box set. First 3 seasons on 12 discs under 30.

I'm somewhat tempted to buy this. I bought all eight VHS tapes of the first season at like $20 a pop way back when.
I assume seasons 1-3 aren't available on blu-ray, huh?

Nope, and oh man, would that ever look like garbage as an upscale. It already looks somewhat lousy on DVD.
 
its been cheaper. if you look at the graph here it says that last December it was $20.99, and back in April it was about $27. Just saying if you wait a bit it might get lower again.
 
I'm almost 100% sure that price was because of the righstuf 12 days of anime sale, and they RARELY repeat something in that sale the following year, if ever. If I didn't already have the first 3 seasons from the original release from Software sculptors (that may not be the name), I would be all over this.
Hell, I may still be all over this, since these dvds don't have messed up audio.
