So what is the cheapest place to get a 360 now?

On ebay it's $275-325 for refurbished 360s, but I want the ones with the new heatsinks or chips or whatever. I just don't want my 360 to get the 3 rings like a bunch of them. I also want to get it before Halo 3 comes out.

Well, if you're wanting one with the new chipset, you'll have to miss Halo 3's release. Because the models with the new chipsets have not been released. All that's been mention is they'll be released in Fall 2007, nothing else.

As for cheapest, Gamestop has a core system w/ wired controller for $189.99 used.

What about premium? A core system is pretty much useless unless you're a casual gamer.

If you buy the Premium used at GS you still have to buy a used hard drive to go with it. So tack on another 50 (60?) bucks to the 220. If I were you, I would check on Craigslist for a new xbox with a receipt dated in the past 30 days. Then you can go to the store and exchange it for one with HDMI. If the xbox has HDMI, then you're guarenteed to get the second heatsink.
