wat

lol it's a coupon for the game "Everything" apparently
I was going to joke I got a coupon for 20% off everything on Steam to get people to check. Thanks for killing my joke, joke killer.

mine just randomly show up, its usually from devs giving them to owners of previous games when they have a new one come out

Most of the time they are worthless anyway, only times they are good are if they have a really long expiration date and the dev forgot to mark them as unusable with other discounts. That way you can stack them when the game inevitably goes on sale anyway

It depends on if there are any new features that they want to incentivize people to utilize. If there isn't anything new, they'll just fall back on the old viewing our queues to get cards crap that they've been doing for the past couple of sales.

I much prefer the idea of everything you buy in Steam being a mystery and you only knowing the discount.

$39.99 MSRP Game on sale for 75% off, will you buy?

I have a few friends hounding me to pick up playerunknowns battlegrounds. I've never played a h1z1 type of survival shooter but it looks fun. There are some pretty funny youtube videos of it.

So far Im liking it. Done a couple solo's and a few duo's, still need to squad up at some point. At least at this point its very playable and it seems they are at least going to spend time doing optimization runs and small patches every week or two, then large changes and balances once a month. So thats more than what can be said of Ark.

I could actually see my group of friends playing this on the regular once its further down in development and a little less jank

I feel like they should really take subscriber feedback on shit like that. I like digital comics. I like digital comic bundles. I do not want digital comics in the monthly. This is worse than the Humble Original and Debut titles which are already pretty terrible overall.

I'm almost at $30 in Steam wallet and tempted to waste it on this trash I will never play.
Unless you have a pretty good rig I wouldn't suggest it really. They launched the first optimization patch. Maybe I can tell a minor difference but possibly just placebo effect. I am playing at your monitors resolution because I don't get reasonable frames at 3440x1440 with 1070, 6600k, 16gb ram. It is a fun game, just badly optimized. H1Z1 runs better even though it pales in realism compared to PUBG.

Well supposedly the patch yesterday was meant for lower end systems, they said high-end probably wouldnt see much difference except some smoother gameplay. It was really aimed at the lower end of their recommended specs though.

Pre-patch i get anywhere from 100-120+ at 1080p on a 1080 while in open less busy areas, drops to like 80 in cities, and then like 40-50's during fights, all that is with all settings turned up. I have friends playing with things set much lower on rigs with cards that are 6xx/7xx generation nvidia and they are doing fine.  I have yet to try it with the patch though

Hmmm, thanks for the feedback. I'll probably pass then. I already have a backlog of similar games (H1Z1, Culling, ARMA III) so I'll wait until it's better optimized and I actually play the other ones.

Get PUBG game is great. I'll keep saying it until y'all buy it

Patch didn't fix fps much only on crappier rigs

probably a safe bet. Judging from the dev interaction and their actual roadmap of planned patching I would actually expect it to be more playable sooner than later as opposed to some other games *cough* ark *cough*. It seems they understand the concept that they can push out performance updates and other improvements at the same time as content and balancing. Im hoping it happens sooner since at that point I would recommend friends to buy it.

The times I can remember using a coupon were Skullgirls (90% off on release), Shadow Warrior (75% off I think, stacked with sale discount), and Mighty Switch Force (75% off). They're usually worthless but there's the occasional good coupon

Maybe it's just a pack-in, like that "Early Look" of Hollow Knight a few months ago. Didn't seem to take away a game-spot or anything
Yeah, even during the month with the Hollow Knight demo, they included six additional games and the Humble Original. This month the site says there will be six additional games added, so I doubt this comic is taking any spot away. I don't give a shit about the comic but I don't see the harm in it either.

As long as any additions don't take up game spots, I'm all for little bonuses thrown in. How can you actually be butthurt over getting extra shit?

It's possible some may see the bonus as reducing the chance of better games.

Sure you get 8 games still, but because they budget $0.50 towards that bonus, they have $0.50 less cents for the games' budget.

EDIT:

CAG Adventures, Friday April 21st

I got a targeted e-mail a week ago about a Discover cashback promo. The first 10 times you use your Discover card in Android Pay, you get $5 cashback each time, for a total maximum of $50.

I went to BB and bought a $1 gift card 10 times, in 10 separate transactions.

Then I used those one at a time, swiping + scratching off the thing on the back for the PIN, as well as another GC I already had, to get some Steam cash.

Thanks BB worker, and sorry.

Assault Suit Leynos is 50% off ($9.99) on Steam and Humble

http://store.steampowered.com/app/441350/

https://www.humblebundle.com/store/assault-suit-leynos

https://www.humblebundle.com/store/assault-suit-leynos-special-edition Special Edition also 50% off ($14.99), I think it's Humble only?

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is 25% off ($18.74) on Steam

http://store.steampowered.com/app/357190

If anyone picks it up you should try this mod which replaces the boring "Dynamic" BGM with MVC2's jazz soundtrack

Figured out the mystery of the Everything coupon.  It's for owners of Mountain.  New game by the dev. Stacks on the current 20% off new release discount.  Looks interesting.

My only concern is how much are they paying for that comic?

If it's free for them and not taking any of the budget for games (and I don't mean humble originals) I could care less... If there's a chance it could could affect the games it's the bundle get that shit out of there.

They've counted a game demo as a game spot before lol. Wouldn't surprise me if they're throwing in comics because they're running out of good games to add

btw if you're looking for a modern day wipeout Id recommend redout. Its pretty close in both look and feel (plus has vr support and who wouldnt want to play wipeout in vr)
Thanks for the reminder about Redout. Turns out the Nvidia codes never expired so I grabbed one for $6.90 on ebay. Everyone can thank me when it's the next Humble monthly headliner.

There's another game that looks similar to Wipeout http://store.steampowered.com/app/389670/ . It does look great in theory but it's still on Early Access.

Edit. Also for those afraid of thge Humble Monthly comic and that. I beieve it won't alter gaming content.

Also forgot to say, that BlazBlue: Continuum Shift Extend is on sale on Steam at 80% off discount. That's a new historical lowest price on steam. I think it has never been bundled.

Edit. Another deal

The Technomancer - 7.99€ Gamesbillet is an approved digital reseller but paypal was removed as a payment method a couple of months ago.

It's the historical lowest price ever.
