This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

Clarification - Mrs Flow is very much alive. CKII mistress is very much dead. Probably should clarify that. I don't have an Agarest waifu yet but there's every chance she'll end up under a patio as well.

I play Rebuild a lot on the phone and I love it, but it's more of a time management sim IMO. I'd love a city builder with the depth/freedom of a Sim City 4 or Skylines, but with post-apocalyptic scenarios/themes. Not even restricted to zombies either. You'd think someone would have already made this. Or made a mod for Sim City 4? Maybe I should check on that.

 
Guys, the whole Dead Rising series was pretty bad. Let's forget it and move on.

 
What is up with Dreamfall: The Longest Journey @ 30% off?  Been on my wishlist for a long time and never goes on sale.  I see it has been cheaper, but not for a while.  Chances are I would be backlogging it, but I'm feeling a strong urge to add it to my library while it's on sale.

Only thing it's missing is the standard "11/10 would not use origin again." I hate these kind of reviews. Derpy jokes followed by arbitrary number/10 would derp derp derp. Instead of the funny option they should have an idiotic option.
 
Bought Crysis Maximum Edition because I'm going through wasting my money withdrawal and posting the fact that i did so here because somebody needs to break up this city skylines orgy

In some ways I'd rather keep no achievements and start afresh. Achievements keep me going in a game like DR2.

Hmm, I wonder if you could use Steam Achievement Manager to remove achievements and unlock them again as you play the game? You generally only hear about it being used to unlock achievements but it might be worth looking into how it works doing the opposite.

Just so anyone doesn't get suckered by this Daily Deal. The game and all the DLC in the collection are in a $3.49 bundle over at BundleStars, making the collection there cheaper than the base game by itself on Steam.

Nice try Paradox. :shame:

However, the one DLC missing from that bundle (Inland Shipping) is only $1.59 during the sale, so there's that.

I think a lot of people are waiting on that one since it's a sequel to The Longest Journey that was in a Be Mine bundle. I know I am. :wall:

You can. I've reset my achievements on some games after my younger brothers have come over and played them.

Before the reviews feature went public I used to do (mostly lame) one-liners, because it was only visible to people on my friends list. No one wants to read that shit from strangers.

It's like a fever dream. I haven't seen a good sale in so long. And everybody here is buying new releases like Cities Skylines. And I had a bunch of Steam wallet just sitting there. And I'm really going to play this one, I swear.

Buy it on GOG. I know, I know, blasphemy and OCD and no +1 and all that, but the GOG version has been $1.50 pretty recently and the Steam version is lucky to go below the GOG version's $15 base price. Also, the Steam version has a gamebreaking bug on a lot of modern systems and can't actually be completed.

Not very. Started before the Winter Sale if memory serves (which it usually doesn't).

Don't we want them to increase in price? Card prices are at rock bottom. If those are "artificially inflated".... :wall:
