Good to know that region lock to South America had me wondering if the keys themselves got region locked. Someone else mentioned saying Hola from Columbia still works now that the Brazilian ones got blocked? I am not at home so I can't check right now. Eh, since you brought it up, I find code drops to be far worse. I mean, there's nothing wrong with code drops per say, but yesterday we probably got 10-15 pages of "thanx Coral 4 da drops!!11". Its not that I'm bitter that I wasn't able to get any of them or anything. Just sayin'.

So this happened today..

And so to honour the occasion, I'm hosting an extra special contest (may have been a little premature with it a week or so ago, but now's finally the time!).

This one should go a little more smoother than my planned giveaways last year when I hit 1K, but unfortunately the prizes will not be cash like last year either, sorry. (

Here's the deets:

1) The maximum number of people who can enter the contest is 48 (including myself, if I somehow win, all prizes will be given to the subsequent places below me).

2) The contest/event itself will take place sometime Friday night. I will post the exact time in-thread when I have all 48 participants and we're ready to go. It is not MANDATORY that you be around on the forum when the contest starts but is highly encouraged. There will also be a live Steam group chat that you can participate in, this is also encouraged. If you would like to be in the group chat during the event, feel free to add me on Steam so I can invite you when ready.

3) All you need to do to enter is post here saying you'd like to enter. Optionally, you can state your preferred nickname and post an image link of your avatar (Imgur or anything will do). Of those two, the image one is more important and will make things more fun.

4) The only requirement for entering is that you have at least 400+ posts. If for some reason you don't, but feel that you are considered a regular, PM me.

5) There will be four prizes. One grand prize for the winner, one for second place, one for third place and one Booby prize for last place. If anyone would like to donate more prizes, feel free to PM me. Here's the list so far:

Nextly, status report: I've got 33ish entries so far, so another 15 to go and we're golden.

After some deliberation, I decided to up the ante. The current grand prize is scrapped in favour of one item by a major publisher that has never seen a bundle. I originally decided on the first grand prize for a random giveaway, but since this'll be a milestone for me, I ended up getting something better. I think you guys will like the new prize better.

No, the point is to reward contribution and discussion. But basically what Syntax Error said, you guys have been great and provided me with a lot of laughs and a lot of drops over the last 1K games and I want to repay that with some fun and possibly a pretty decent game. Giving back to the community and such (part of why I ever bothered doing Happy Hours for IG).

I planned to have a separate thread for the actual event, that I was going to link to when it came closer to going live. I considered going the PM route but in the interest of maximizing participation (since people can be too lazy for that) and not clogging my inbox (which I use for HH hosting), I opted for the post method. However, if anyone else wants to enter and wants to avoid contributing to spam, you can shoot me a PM to enter, I'm not picky.
