You're talking about Gauntlet versus THAT Rage, but Rage Software's Expendable was really good and much more suited as an isometricky, Gauntlet-type game. That's actually the game I thought you guys were talking about, given the context.

I didn't know Borderlands had decision-making (often can be based on your PERKS + stat numbers for certain parts of SPECIAL), branching-dialogue trees, & any other things of that sort; multiple endings; and VATS...

Of course, Rage was the better shooter - that's what Id Software does best.

In terms of story + character - forget it; give me FO3 or New Vegas over Rage.

What makes FO games are:

the huge open game-world (Bethesda does this extremely well);

narrative, story + characters (well, Obsidian did does this better in FO:NV than Bethesda in FO3);

dark humor (if Bethesda actually decides to put any in - Obsidian did this better in FO:NV);

tons of quests + decision-making;

and VATS (well, at least since FO3).

Trying to idle all mygames with card drops remaining, to see how close I can get to grabbing GTA V for free. It adds a nice meta-game element to the whole process.

Any Bethesda-made game wishes it could tell a story + narrative; have plot-twists; & have dialogue as great as BioShock 1 + BioShock Infinite.

In an ideal world - If Obsidian teamed w/ Beth and Obsidian was only doing Fallout 4's writing here (for dialogue, story, character, plot) - this might be actually possible.

No CoD dog could ever even be on Dogmeat's level - figurative and literally.

Literally, Dogmeat probably should be over Level 200 by now.

Dogmeat's already been in a few FO titles.

We have first game that doesn't support 970 because of 3.5GB+0.5GB. Definitely not due to devs incompetence.

the plot of fo4 is actually dogmeat is trying to find his pet toaster. thats why its set in Massachusetts

 
BTW, if you haven't seen the Amazon thread (someone made one), most of the ubisoft games and Battlefield Hardline sales end at midnight. Just heads up if thinking about buying any.

Fury Road movie was awesome.

Max Mad (game) looks like it could be quite good, actually. With Avalanche behind it, I expect it to be a lots of fun, have an awesome open-world + tons of crazy stunts involving vehicles. Hopefully, I'm right on this one. Only time will tell.

 
For me, all future Bathesda games are Day 1 purchase/rental on a console, then waiting a few years for the Complete version to hit 75% off on PC.

I like to buy copies of games that do this, then call the company and complain that I'm not being babied enough and demand a refund. "Time saver" to me is just telling me the story so I don't have to play the fucking game, because that's basically what you're fucking doing with these shitty Pay2Win titles.
