Ack, I feel dumb but I've been searching for 20 minutes and I can't find where to select other conversion options. A little help?
Unfortunately I think you have to do it at checkout now, because Paypal is dirty. Make sure you change the settings before you pay. Its a tiny option beneath checkout.

y u tell ppl this after we spent hundreds of dollars on nuuvem???
I thought you guys were already on it! I learned this on SD a while back.

Also: Paypal must've changed their options with their redesign, it used to be accessible from your account before.

Lord GabeN in his infinite wisdom decided that Steam had to bork and sell me two copies of Ori.

Efforts towards a refund have since locked me out of purchasing with my Steam wallet, which means I can't get my shitty $.25 cent game!

Why Lord GabeN, WHY!!?!

Edit: GabeN was angry with me for requesting a refund; he gave me my right to waste card moneys once I rescinded it. Foolish am I to question his judgement. GabeN be praised!

I finally was able to login! Was only able to login through the Steam application and then had to wait about 10 minutes for a verification email to arrive.

Anyways, Thanks Spoderman! Was able to get Ori for $5

Well, I'm 18 days or so but I sent in my request for a refund and have the cheaper copy sitting in my inventory. Someone on Gaf already got a refund approved at 18 days so I'm hopeful.

Edit: Got my refund!

Snagged Ori 'cause glitch fairies need appeasing or else they'll travel elsewhere.

Edit: I must have just got in under the wire.  Bought it a few minutes ago.

Hope you bought it in time. Price has been fixed.
Guess I got in just under the wire! :D/ Thanks again for the heads up.. I'm sure I would have regretted missing it if I passed on it. Currently playing Transistor, so I'll play Ori after I finish the next AAA game(I often use good indies as "palette cleansers" between AAAs).

Honestly, I was only moderately interested until I learned it was a glitch. I'm not sure if I'll even play it before it (legitimately) hits 75% off again. But glitches must be rewarded.

Well, I still couldn't find it. But the good news is in the time since my first post, the conversion changed and saved me 13 cents. Still a good price on WL2 at $9.81. You people talking about the free upgrade pushed me over the edge, I don't know when I'm going to play this. Still a more satisfying purchase than any of the indie bundles lately.

Decided to skip the deal. Game looks great and all but I would have backlogged it anyways, so no rush. Got at least a couple of top-tier platformers I need to finish; Rayman Origins and Freedom Planet.

Man this is crazy. It looks like you can't since Nuuvem uses express checkout. I think you have to go to a foreign site that uses the full paypal checkout in order to change the settings. This really sucks if you weren't able to change it before paypal hid it away completely.

Ramen Origins is pretty fun for the first few worlds, but quickly gets boring. It's so much like Legends that I can barely tell the difference. Kinda like actual ramen; the noodles are the same, but the seasoning is slightly different.

You can change the default conversion method for payments but it's a pain in the ass to find.

PayPal Settings --> Scroll to bottom right for Preapproved Payments --> Set Available Funding Sources --> Select card and "Conversion Options" -- > Change setting to "Bill me in the currency listed on the seller's invoice" --> Submit

You'll have to do this for each card you plan on using.

You found it!

I got Ori during the Summer Sale and already played through/beat it. It deserves to be played/bought if you got it during the glitch or have even minimal interest in it. Its trading for as low as 2-3 keys even now over on places like Steamgifts' trading area. Its my GOTY right now and while I expect that will change over the months, its still well worth a playthrough.

Heres the review I wrote of it after beating it:

Actually Rayman Legends includes most of Origin's levels.

Thanks for confirming that I am not just going insane.

Woo! Thank you for finding this! Now to go back in time to an hour ago and buy WL2 again.

So pretty much the standard Ubisoft formula.

And Freedom Planet is quite fun so far. Only 3 levels in but damn they're long. Soundtrack is great too. So I definitely recommend checking it out, for the CAGs who probably have it backlogged from the Indiegala bundle it was in.

I agree with everything in that review. The game is my current GOTY as well. First playthrough is the longest then the next one is much shorter. A great game to replay when you have an afternoon free. The achievements add a bit more replay value and challenge to the game. Finishing the game without spending a skill point was rough, but felt great when finally completing it. Think I beat it around 7 times within the first 2 weeks of buying it. Couldn't stop playing.

Thanks to whoever pointed out that Ori was absolutely going to be in a Humble Bundle tomorrow.

At a $15 tier.

It was the $15 tier bit that triggered me.

:whee:

Ori is 75% off. Don't know if it's a glitch, but was only 40% off during the summer sale.
Son of a... :wall:

Yeah, I bought this during the Summer sale. I like platformers and wanted to play this one immediately. I don't regret it since the game is fantastic (even for what I paid). It's a shame the soundtrack wasn't on sale glitched as well since I probably would have picked that up.

I agree with your review and it's in my top 5 for GOTY right now. I really really liked it. There were several pretty difficult situations but I would have liked to have seen a few more. That's my only gripe about the game. Some of the achievements like Supersonic (finish the game in under 3 hours), Elite (Complete the whole game without using an Ability Point), and Immortal (Complete whole game without dying) are challenging enough so perhaps the difficulty was just about right.

You would have to be completely batshit crazy to even think about trying for the Immortal achievement, no thanks.

Steam says I put 17 hours into it but I idled for cards before actually playing and my in-game time says it took me ~12 hours to finish. Apparently I tend to pause games a lot.

Regardless it's a great game and congrats to everyone that snagged it at $4.99. I'd be very surprised if it hits this price again anytime soon.

Create a critically acclaimed indie game.

Feature in the Steam Summer Sale.

(Apparently) claim the game won't go on sale for near that price for a long while.

Wait two weeks.

Intend to repeat the summer sale.

OOPS $5.

Damn, Steam is giving refunds outside the two week window.

Take action/negotiate compensation for the price error and ineligible refunds from Steam, Microsoft, or both.

Profit.

Not saying, just saying.
