This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

There's no accounting for taste, some people like Poopees for God's sake, I just can't see how that's an amazing client. Sorry just not seeing it. I guess I'm an obnoxious militant Steam person or whatever.

Yeah, and some people are voting for Hillary Clinton when she's a duplicitous demagogue who's been fighting against social and economic equality for decades and barely wins the election despite rampant corruption and favoritism.

I tweeted her the other day asking what her thoughts are on Overwatch, and the FBI and State Department both responded that her tweet wouldn't be released until after November. It wasn't sketchy, not at all. Now I won't know what she said and will have to buy into the game based on hype and peer pressure.

Oh mixing politics with Overwatch, yeah that sounds like a good idea until you actually try it.  Clinton probably has a professional Overwatch player on her campaign staff who would play Widowmaker and steal all of the kills.   Bernie Sanders would pick support and then stay back in the starting area and play with basketballs the entire match and Trump would only play Bastion and kill his own team on turret reflects more often than doing anything useful.  But ask them what they were doing and Sanders would insist that he had a strong plan to win the match going forward and that we had to keep fighting.  Trump would be running around firing randomly and spamming chat with how terrific he was and how he had asked many, many people at Blizzard and they all said he was the best Overwatch player of all time.   

Gary Johnson would kindly refuse to play, stating that he only buys games on GOG.  

All of that said, I will be making my decision on whom to vote for based on how good of a plan they have for saving Battleborn.

DRM-FREE is great and Galaxy being always an optional service is great - but the GOG Galaxy service itself bloody sucks. It's functional, sure - and honestly, most (Origin, UPlay, etc) are at least that these days.

GOG Galaxy has NOTHING on the amount of extra features Steam packs in. For that matter, nobody else (Origin, UPlay, etc) is even close to Steam's level for a client-service period. Steam with its Big Picture Mode, Screenshots, Community, Steam Cloud - and that ain't even tipping the iceberg here, BTW - and tons of other features just put every other service to shame.

I love GOG's always DRM-FREE game attitude & always optional client attitude GOG Galaxy has - but, I'm with you: there's NOTHING amazing about GOG Galaxy.

I prefer to talk to Tebow about fighting with a 5 year old over Pokemon cards.

Randomly got this in my inbox in one of the new emails I subscribe to. Apparently video games are screwing up voice actors vocal cords and surprise, publishers don't give a crap.

Somehow that made me think of Morrowind and the super raspy male Dark Elf voice. It got changed in Oblivion and a friend and I at the time were saying how we missed that voice but it must have been murder on the vocal chords to do that.

Oh, complain, complain, complain. There are plenty of people with natural sounding troll voices that could be hired and these people want to complain because they force themselves to sound unnatural to keep the troll-voices out of work. No sympathy from me.

 
Yeah you have to spend $75 for free shipping.  I typically buy things from NISA in pairs, the once or twice a year when I order from them.

Aww man, I just (semi) fakeyed it too from Bundle Sharts in Canada dollars (like $26 US equiv).

It's a good dungeon crawler, awesome art, nice port. I'd definitely recommend it.

I kinda want that art book though so I might be a console person and buy the physical edition too (limitud!)

It's nice that we are getting that limited edition with the extras option though since we so rarely do on the PC.

I saw some people bitching about the price on Steam and was like huh? It's a full game and not indie, good production values and they gave a generous intro discount. I guess some people were expecting Grimrock indie prices or something.

I also like that the game let's you pick between nice Amano style art or Moe pedo weeb if that's your thang. You can guess which option I went with. :p

*Edit: Oh and they email you the Steam code right away instead of making you wait to get it in the danged box. Even better.

You do just everything ships when the last thing comes out. So If you get something in June and something in August you will get both packages in August I believe.

AHAHA STUPID DEVS

One of the developers was removed from the Bundle becuase of his unacceptable behaviour against the community. We want to apologise for such a situtation and inform you we weren't aware of and informed about such arrangements the dev had when we signed the Agreement. The price of the Bundle was lowered by 1/8 as a result of this sitution and all of the previous buyers were rewarded with a 10% OFF coupon as well.

Yeah ok, tell that to the people that got their card drops restricted after the revoke. I think valve considers "flagged" and "restriction" in a very different way than we do. I doubt cards taking longer to drop counts as being flagged/restricted to Valve.

I fakeyed Ghost 1.0, the new game from the Unepic developer.  It is really good so far, much higher quality than Unepic, voice acting is not cringe-worthy most of the time and the gameplay feels good.  Nice Metroidvania so far although I am not very far into it.
