I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

Yeah, it'll be hard to find an even swap. I value steambucks at maybe 70-80% of real money value. You can easily find people selling steam wallet cards at a loss, or people from cheaper regions (canada, norway, new zealand, etc.) that will sell you games for less than you can find them on the US steam store.

It's more a function of their sales being crap compared to third party retailers that sell Steam keys. You're usually going to pay a couple of dollars more for a Steam 'deal.'

Glitch is really fast, he got Mafia III and Rise of the Tomb Raider for Christmas. Probably some other really good games, too. Nice games for a bot to redeem.

Final Fantasy should be going to Foxhack

I also have Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen if anyone wants that.  Will take any good roguelike game (already own tales of maj'eyal, dungeons of dredmor, and desktop dungeons)

That's fair enough. Like I said, I was more just hoping to find somebody who was "going to spend $20 anyway". I suppose this could be the wrong audience for that though. But yeah, I'd rather just hang onto it than get effed in the b-hole. Thanks for the responses though.

The only super worthwhile thing coming from Steam Sales of late is more+more games been getting those "Complete A Bundle" Deals. And some of those, they're hard to pass up.

I missed the price mistake? on amazon for Legacy of Kain Defiance as it is now $2.50.

I have to say MysterD nailed this topic from my perspective. Yes, there was onetime a humble bundle could be bought on steam which was useful to use Steam currency. However, the only draw to buy on Steam lately are the complete a bundle deals. I also believe that most newer games from Ubisoft and others are going to be limited to Uplay or Origin (for EA). I just completed the main missions of Far Cry Primal (love the game) and utilized Uplay. So far, no real complaints with Uplay from me. Next will be Origin for Dragon Age Inquisition. I have had good customer service with Origin in the past.

I have to agree with Spoder about the Steam currency "conversions". I think it is reasonable to buy at 20% off.

 
Don't have a VR headset but I bought it anyway. Meh

The 50 cents is cheap. The true cost of those 2 deals is the time I just wasted scrolling through Amazon for other glitches.

Thanks for posting that. I've got a DIY Vive set up (Oculus DK2 and PS Move controllers), so this will be another great experience to test.

Following up my $20 steam card talk...I don't know why I didn't think of it before, but if anybody was able to nab the super cheap Microsoft/XBL credit from the rewards "glitch" a couple weeks back, I'd also be willing to swap it for that.

Destiny was one of the most fun games I've played until I ran out of stuff to do. There really should have been more varied daily missions to do. Hopefully Destiny 2 has a lot more content.

Caved on my first and possibly only purchase: The Guns-N-Zombies/I Am Weapon bundle for a buck fiddy.  I suspect the sewer thread will have better deals after the bonuses for this month's Humble are revealed.

As long as you added free weekend within first two days or so, you have more or less permanent copy of game.

With few caveats tho (not visible in profile, library)

I still need Vive tho.

I bought Dragon's Dogma a while back when it first came out. And then I got a spare when it was the monthly game on the humble bundle. I still have it so PM me some roguelikes that you have :)

If a game is removed, does that mean we'll no longer be able to download and install it, if owned? Or does it just mean that people can no longer purchase it?
