why founders? You get better cooling and base clocks without fiddling with an AIB card

Founders clock better. At least the 1080 does. Add a hybrid cooler. BAM. Silent amazing card
Not at all, theres plenty of AIB's that all come in more silent than the FE's usually by 2-6dB (or about the same if you dont want to spend the extra cash on their ultra solutions). They also come in way cooler than FE's under load (idle most AIB's just leave fans off to be silent so their idle temps are usually a bit higher).

Most AIB's will be ~68-72 under load while the FE's get into the 80+ range at least with 1080/titan level cards (70/60's are a bit lower)

Because I can get one from a friend that upgraded to a 1080ti for $250.
Good enough :) any of the top tier manufacturers are all fine, especially if nvidia has them listed as a trusted partner and allows them to build an FE edition. So it doesnt really matter who you go with, they are all the same anyway since they are built to nvidia's reference specs. The main reason they did it was so they didnt step on partner builder's toes by selling their own in-house reference designs like they did previously

What?

This isn't across the board. I agree with you entirely to just wait on this since its gonna be easily gotten even cheaper by launch, but the Shadow of Mordor PC port was fucking great from day one. Developer matters. Its not just publisher.
Never said they were of bad quality, except Batman A K, but they're always cheap as hell mere weeks after launch. Maybe it has something to do with the regional pricing. I dunno. Either way. Wait

Eeeh, not really. I remember playing it at very low fps like 30 day one :p

GMG just sent me a 50% off ME:A or Total Warhammer game. So $30. Not bad if anyone wants to semi-fakey.
Its DoW3 for $30 instead of total war warhammer (unless mine is different) which surprises me, I thought DoW3 was going to do well but it just released a month or so ago.

I keep getting tempted to buy it until I realise that I still have DoW2 and all expansions to play through.

enough game talk, anybody have any experience with these gaming chairs from secret labs?  The price seems good compared to other similar models and review sites seem to like them.  This is the one I was looking at Titan

The tempo one looks cool, but damn, $400?

I know that's what most of them cost, I just don't know what "gaming" chairs offer that regular office chairs don't. Psuedo racer seat looks? I know the titan at least says it is wider for us fatties.

NewEgg Flash has some Nitro Concept gaming chairs for $110 and $150.

This secret labs chair was at the top of my want list until I ran out of money. They seem really nice. Glad to see the sale is still active, that was supposed to be over shortly after Christmas. But If I'm in between being a regular guy and a giant fatman I don't know which chair I want.

$300-$500 for polyurethane leather?  :speaktothehand:

You should be able to get a top-grain leather chair for that price, albeit not in extreme color patterns and racing stripes.

I don't like leather chairs. They tend to chafe and wear down IMO unless you're getting like a $1000 chair and even then, they still only last like 5-10 years. Chair I have now is just vinyl or something but it's holding up like a champ to my massive frame.

Escape from the uncomfortable shackles of tyranny placed upon the PC gamer by the sadists who for years have forced us to sit with our noses pressed to our monitors. Get yourself a recliner!

Yeah, but PU leather is especially crap. It's just leather particle board glued to a sheet of polyurethane. Stuff starts disintegrating in no time. If I wasn't springing for real leather, I'd rather get a high quality cloth chair than waste hundreds of dollars on a PU leather chair. Especially when they're marketing it to people with "large frames" who are going to put more stress on the material.

FYI Tremorbros, there are a bunch of those AdGate Medicare Insurance offers up again worth 44 coins as well as a couple Mortgage Insurance ones worth 141. Easy offers where you just put in a zip code, not even sure if that's needed.

I'm a average sized American male, 6'5 270lbs or so, not sure who you are calling fatty, you fatty!

I currently have a Serta chair that I got for a good deal at officemax years ago. But I work from home as well as game from home, so I spend about 80 hours a week in this chair. I need a new one and spending a few hundred if it lasts me 4 or 5 years seems like a good bargain.

I got a new chair about 2 weeks ago from Office Depot. No racing stripes, but it's a great looking chair and super comfortable. I think this was the one: http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/944591/Serta-Smart-Layers-Jennings-Super-Task/ Got it on sale. Hard to imagine what those gaming chairs offer for $200 more that I'm not getting from this chair. One thing you're not getting if you buy a gaming chair: Laid.
