This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

There's currently a price mistake on Epic Mickey Rebrushed (steam) on the gamestop website at $7.99

Another gamble I took this evening is on this batch of refurbished monitors on Woot. There's currently a 20% off code (Luck20) and a 10% cashback offer from retailmenot. If there's an issue with it I'll just return I guess. But I love my 34" 100hz ultrawide and am interested to try this one at 40" IPS 144hz $192.
Only saw one person report getting a key that had ordered immediately after Wario tweeted it

Sorry, I'm gonna be that guy and clutter up the thread. I got some leftover GOG codes from Prime. If you want, quote this post with the game(s) you want, and I'll PM you if I'm not too senile to recognize you. Or just scream at your computer screen. It probably won't do anything, but it might be fun, I haven't tried it.

The Outer Worlds
Space Hulk: Deathwing Enhanced Edition
Quake II
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger
Chasm: The Rift
Close to the Sun

Can you tell the kind of perspective I don't like in video games? YOU ONLY GET THE CODES IF YOU CAN. Actually never mind please take them I don't want them.
May I have Chasm The Rift if it is still available please?

Final Fantasy VII $4.79 on Steam

Like Final Fantasy IX, the mod scene is pretty wild for this one. You can transform the graphics quite a bit, and there's even a mod that adds voice acting to the entire game. Mod installer: https://7thheaven.rocks/ . Works on Steam Deck with a pretty easy installation too. Only downside is that these mods only work for the English version, such that the modded game will fail to run if you try to change into a different language (which is what I was trying to do :( - the FF9 mod launcher works fine in any language so I was a bit surprised).

For the few of you who may care, it looks like this past week or so Ubisoft has been adding Steam achievements to their Assassin's Creed and Far Cry games. So far the games that received them are:

Assassin's Creed Syndicate
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag
Assassin's Creed Unity
Assassin's Creed Revelations
Far Cry 5
Far Cry 6

And apparently they'll be adding achievements to Far Cry 3 and 4 as well.

Should I post my Winter Sale 2024 haul now...or wait?
Since I gutted my wishlist, nothing that's for sale is in the "buy" region, more so since I have plenty to play already.

I'm sure there's some great $5 or less games folks will nab, but I probably got them all when Fanatical was still Bundle Stars and you could 100% money to charity on Humble.

If its really old, I probably got it when you could penny into Humble Bundles to lock in your beat the average...

I've got nearly 70 hours on Path of Exile 2 now, with a level 61 Stormweaver. I'm approaching the end of the campaign on 'cruel' difficulty, and then can finally start the endgame. The game is still pretty fun and I'm enjoying myself. I like the mmo-lite / shared-world concepts and implementation. In many ways you feel like you're in an mmorpg but you never need to play with anyone.

The game is def not conducive to starting alt characters though...

Interested in trying it, but not to pay money to play a F2P game interested. Bummer that they're charging $30 Early Access for a free game.

Edit: This early SMT clone, Touhou Artifical Dream in Arcadia, is worth the $0.79 IMO.

I know how you feel.

It was a calculated investment. A few of my irl friends picked the game up, which is super duper out of the ordinary. As none of us have ever been playing the same game at the same time for ages. I'm not into the "FIRST!!", poopsocker mentality; players are seriously no-life'ing this game. But I wanted to be ahead of the curve when it comes to endgame, resource acquisition, the economy, and even the occasional flash sale or Twitch MTX grab. The other tipping point for me anyways was that you're going to want to spend those coins on extra (shared) cache space anyways. The game isn't going to be free or out for another year.

The main point of my post is that so far it has been 100% money well spent.

Time to whittle down the wish list again. I have a lot of demos too, so look forward to some impressions of games maybe or maybe not on sale. Also is there a way to get free cards? I know the discovery queue gets you free stickers (can get all the free ones with 3 goes though it right after another), but I don't see anything about getting cards.

I am another who doesn't like paying for EA to play free games early or EA in general. It's a reason I haven't tried out Bazaar (idle battler game). POE2 does look very nice though. I just hate beating the EA content and having to wait. I did it for Hades, and honestly I probably should have waited for the full release, but it is a fun game (doing this for Hades 2 now).

That might be a price mistake, seems like a weird drop to $0.79 for what appears to be a very good game.

ABI-DOS is another one that's had a very weird drop to $0.79 and was released a month ago

Also, Emerald City Confidential is finally on sale again for what seems like forever (80% off). It's one of wadgjet eyes first games and one that I was missing

I found these to be of note for niche VN/Japanese game deals, too lazy to link them all though:

ANONYMOUS;CODE (70% off)

Izanagi complete pack (mostly 50-60% off, has games like Worlds End Club and Yurukill in it that I've been waiting for a decent sale for)

Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE Plus is $26.99 in a bundle if you own Danganronpa 1-3 already which is a fair price if you were already interested in it

Distant Space 2 is free on Steam until December 24th:

Only way I think is if you craft a badge for a game.

I always like to look at SteamDB to see if there are any historical lows/ 2-year lows on my wishlist.

Wishlist:486 Items
Historical Lows: 21 Items
2-Year Lows: 17 Items

Sometimes I like to buy up a few lower-priced items to reduce my wishlist. But I think this year I'm just going to pick a couple of games I really want to play soon, regardless of discount.

I remember this thread used to blow up before sales started and melt down when they began. I guess what I'm saying is that during the biggest sale of the year, I see absolutely no deal that I just can't wait to make and I hate that.

I started Dredge on PlayStation Plus to see how it was. I ended up really getting into it, and started looking for deals on the PC version with DLC. But I ended up finishing the game on PS in about 3 days. Recommended though, I wish it was longer.

Not sure if I'll get anything from the sale. I considered Okami HD, but I played it on other platforms before.

It doesn't help that more and more of the games that I wanted to play and were sort of deals then went to be in various bundle deals within 6-12 months. I've gotten burned on several AA type games that end up in the humble monthly within a year. $20 on a game is fine but when it is $12 or less within 6 months? There are 4-5 games I bought in the last 3 years that are free with amazon prime this past year.

The only 50% off crazy deal on something released within the last 6 months I've seen was CoD BlackOps6, at least for console versions in a few places. That seems to be because Blops6 sucks this year.

??? = order = acronym for Obsidian Entertainment's best RPG.

Does anyone want a copy of the digital board game Wingspan or a code for a free month of Boot.Dev subscription (coding website)?

Monitor/display question for you guys. It's been a couple years since I considered & researched oled tv's.
Best Buy now has 55" LG B4 at $800 + $100gc. I'm thinking of buying in since it's my primary gaming display for both pc and consoles.

I know the C1/C2 series used to explicitly advertise gsync as a feature, and this B4 does not. But the VRR on the B4 essentially makes it fully compatible with both gsync and freesync, correct?

Some Cartoon Network games seem to be getting delisted. So far they're:

OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes
-Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time (Adult Swim)
-Steven Universe: Save the Light
-Steven Universe: Unleash the Light
-Adventure Time: Finn and Jake's Epic Quest
-Adventure Time: Magic Man's Head Games

Samurai Jack was in a high tier of a humble bundle not too long ago, but you may have skipped it so it might be worth getting it from the grey market before it's too late. Already sold out on cdkeys

Thanks, was looking for last second confirmation before driving across town this morning. At a BBY Outlet location, I found a 55" B4 at $638 that had been marked Open Box - Fair due to listed reason of "residue." I inspected it before buying and apparently the initial buyer just didn't take the plastic film off the screen. Still came with the 100gc as well.

I mean I wouldn’t touch something that had been opened, returned, and then discounted because of “residue,” myself, but fair play to you.

Save the light is excellent if you are looking for a indie paper Mario aesthetic type game. with a sorta mixed combat system between paper mario and Grandias. But also with terrain and positioning as well. You can even knock some enemies off cliffs and such to their death which is nice. But same can apply to your party with knockback.

It also has each characters in the party used to solve terrain or puzzles and such. Some characters have overlap like garnet and Connie both break ice and such. Though garnet when upgrade her gauntlets can break it faster.

Unleash the light went back to the more budgeted version of attack the light. You don't have platforming and exploration much and navigation is not great since you side scroll sorta but have to go in very specific direction to get to a different screen.

I haven't played either of the adventure time titles listed but pirates is a relatively solid paper Mario type game itself. Especially collecting the penguins as star pieces.

Finn and Jake investigate is rough but playable. much like professor Layton series they have specific ways you are required to answer questions and solve puzzles. Most of the time it's dumb as you could have solved x multiple ways but need to answer their way.

Forgotten kingdom is 2d zelda like. I couldn't find the keys to get in the dungeons so I don't know any more than the basics.

Merry Xmas!
