Happy Holidays & fuck Everyone

Death Stranding Director's Cut (Steam): 38559-0A67F-YL6LA
STAR WARS Jedi: Fallen Order (Origin): 958Y-XWMZ-TRSP-DYZ8-Z9X9
The Walking Dead (Steam): EWIYD-QN5AI-XPRHC

(No idea if these keys are still active. Was just cleaning my basement and found them.)
Someone already used them all. Thanks though. Was hoping for Death Stranding :)

I got Steam gifts for my BILs. I got myself Neon White since it's been on my list for some time, not gone below 50% off, and I don't believe it's been bundled.

So hopefully you all get a bundled version of Neon White in 2025. You're welcome.

Speaking of which, I still got these. Last chance before I dump ’em for the lurkers.

Sorry, I'm gonna be that guy and clutter up the thread. I got some leftover GOG codes from Prime. If you want, quote this post with the game(s) you want, and I'll PM you if I'm not too senile to recognize you. Or just scream at your computer screen. It probably won't do anything, but it might be fun, I haven't tried it.

Space Hulk: Deathwing Enhanced Edition
Quake II
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger
Close to the Sun

Can you tell the kind of perspective I don't like in video games? YOU ONLY GET THE CODES IF YOU CAN. Actually never mind please take them I don't want them.

Anyone still using ArchiSteamFarm for farming steam cards? Figure I should use a program for dumping cards more efficiently. Made a few bucks in the past 2 months casually selling off game cards I had sitting around.

I've done three chapters of Neon White and my "WASD" middle finger is likely got a blister from pushing so hard while getting Ace medals.

Good fun. Story is probably not worth much to write home about, but the clever way to solve the levels is pretty entertaining.

I still use ASF. I know there are alternatives, but I transferred to ASF after jshackles time with Idle Master ended and haven't looked at anything else. ASF works fine for my needs.

Despite Archi's... i don't know... superiority complex... ASF is probably the best. Just don't ask a question if the answer already exists somewhere on the internet.

Idle Master is still the best if you need to utilize "fast mode" where it switches among games back to back to generate card drops faster. ASF is better if you just want something automated that you can leave idle without having to mess with.

I actually used to prefer Idle Daddy, which is an android mobile app, but it was never super consistent and no longer works at all for me so I stopped using it. But when it did work it the convenience of using my phone to idle beat needing it running on my PC.

Yeah, I like automated farming and just using a steam chat to send commands to manually "play" a specific game or confirm listing cards.

If anyone wants my GOG codes for any of these three reply with the one you want and I'll DM you the code:
  • The Town of Light
  • The Coma: Recut
  • Scorn
I'd give you my horror Epic/Prime Gaming codes if I could.

Would've been awesome if stuff like Predator: HG and Eternights were Epic Key-codes and not Direct-Linking to Epic only.

Awesome giveaways there, BTW.

Sifu is a really god albeit very hard game. A good freebie for sure and I personally played the game from EGS as it came later to Steam.

On another note Steam Winter sale is on for about a day plus (ends Jan 2nd early). It's been a boring sale and no free cards was a big loss IMHO. I'm currently cleaning up my wish list, but will likely buy my stuff after I'm done. Not the best prices on some of it, and I'll post my haul afterwards, but it's mainly going to be DLC me thinks. The Steam Awards winners match the sale and are pretty boring.

Picked up more than I thought I would over steams past two sales.

Winter/Autumn sale haul:

State of Decay 2 Juggernaut
Sleeping Dogs Definitive
Vermintide 2 (gift to play with my son)
Assassins Creed Origins gold
Assassin's Creed Odyssey gold
4 walkabout golf courses

Felt like they were all pretty good deals, Odyssey gold comes with remastered AC3 and Liberty which seemed good for $10. Overall pretty decent and more than I usually get during steams sales.

Anyone think the Metal Gear Solid trilogy and other included games are likely to drop below the 48% off they are on GMG anytime soon? It's been ages since I've played them and want to revisit them.

I'm guessing anytime this year they will drop farther. Guessing it bottoms out around 70-80% off. We all need to remember that a few months of time equals a million months for games in determining price drops. Games seem to age so fast in gamers minds that prices drop faster than ever. We see it all the time where games coming out early year (January-March) rarely win GOTY awards. By March we'll be seeing stuff like for example the Metal Gear Solid stuff guessing around 60ish percent off. By late next year likely will bottom out around 75% off. This is pretty much how it goes for most things game and entertainment (like blu rays) related.

This does not apply to games only on specific platforms such as games only sold on Steam, very popular games and their DLC (Vampire Survivors is an example), DLC sold only on Steam (these are usually slow dropping in prices), some niche games (stuff like visual novels don't drop price as quickly), and publishers who refuse to put their games on sale in the first place or for very much off. For these it's probably just best to get these games during a big sale such as the Winter one, or on the rare chance they go on sale during the year.

Pretty much the big question is will you play it sometime within a few months or so. If not I'd wait for a price drop IMHO.

Thanks for the advice, I'll wait and play the backlog.

30 or so minutes left Steam Winter sale. I mainly bought a few games I want to play within the next month and a load of DLC. I'll try out the DLC and if it stinks I'll refund those right away. Be sure to play the stuff within 2 weeks after purchase I believe and less than 2 hours is usually the automatic refund.

I bought absolutely nothing due to the price being so great I couldn't possibly pass it up. Lackluster (and true to form) in that respect. I did, however, try something novel and just bought some stuff I wanted to play - wow!

Red Dead Redemption - it will be cheaper this year. Don't care -- wanna play it.
Grim Dawn DLC - this shit is never ever getting cheaper. I've waited for years to play the game until I had the full package.
Marvel's Spider Man - want to play.
Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - had the full GOTY in my cart and switched for just the base. I like to collect stuff and that was hard to do, but most didn't look very highly regarded; especially for more than double the price.

You do know that Crate is working on another Grim Dawn DLC...right? ;)

Yes! I'm considering this a jumping-in point, however. I'll be just like everyone else that's been waiting as well. They don't seem to like discounting their DLC much, so I'm expecting either a long wait to purchase the new addition. Or maybe I end up loving it so much I buy it day 1.

Looks like a great game and I've been checking on it for ages.

I'm an early supporter of the game, and have all but the loyalty/cosmetic packs. Have over 200 hours in, and just picked it up again, dropping over 20 hrs in the past couple weeks. If you like ARPGs like Diablo, D2, Titan Quest, Fate, PoE/PoE2, Last Epoch - then you'll definitely like the game. I am so glad they're still supporting it and putting out new content 8 yrs after release.

Bunch of price mistakes at GameThor if you can get the site to load. Site is seriously overwhelmed with traffic due to wario64 tweeting it out.

KunitsuGami for $8.99
Blasphemous 2 $1.99
Street Fighter 6 Ultimate $4.99

There's a code for 10% off: "GT10US" but I skipped that code entirely as it already took a very long time to register an account, add everything to cart, and checkout successfully.

Did you actually get any of those keys? Won't they be revoked anyway since they're clearly price mistakes?
Who knows if they'll be revoked. I'd say it's a very good chance but I've never dealt with GameThor. Yeah I got all of those keys.

Ace Attorney Anthology $12.99
Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 $0.99

Some deals I didn't know about before.

I think the traffic has gotten 100x worse since wario tweeted about the new deals. I can't even login anymore. Took me an hour to buy anything and that was after seeing the first tweet right when it got posted.

I wasn't able to get Marvel vs Capcom 3, the site stopped wanting to load at that point. I have heard that they ran out of keys for the first set of deals I've posted though, and I really doubt they'll restock them for people that got in on the price mistake. They'll probably end up cancelling those orders, but again I have no idea what they'll do since GameThor is new territory for me. Never would've used that site if it wasn't for these price mistakes

EDIT: Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Digital Deluxe is $10.99 on gamethor. Good luck trying to get the site to load though, it's probably down for everyone

Trying to play my Steam purchases from the winter sale to see if I refund. Decided to put my thoughts as well since some may want to play these games/DLC. I will also play the hotness that is UFO 50 and see if it's as awesome as everyone makes it out to be. Will be trying out Reign of the Renegade as well as some DLC (Dice Folk Chimera, Brotato Abyss, Vampire Survivors Castlevania, Realm of Frost and Inkwash). I'm guessing most of those will be fine and possibly the Chimera will be junky, but I haven't played Dice Folk in a bit.

Indies' Lies - Desires Flowing - This is only a DLC for those who want more of the game. It introduces a Puppetmaster class and map, in a standalone expansion thing. I'm a little disappointed these characters can't be used in the main game maps, but using minions doesn't work with a full party. This game is still fun in a 7/10 type of way offering a decent amount of builds and good challenge when you start using modifiers. Pretty much this just gives 3 acts to a new character and you can unlock stuff for them to play out this mode. Not essential at all, but the cheaper price gives more fun to this game. Always a weird game with some questionable translations and localizations, but it's just a decent enough Slay the Spire like. This was played for about 3 hours leading to a win.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate - This game isn't worth it unless you're doing co-op, and even then I don't think it's worth it. I think is one the games where the demo felt pretty fair single player, but the actual game doesn't work well single player, and it's just a Hades clone. It does exactly what I hate in games where enemies are hard and can hit like a truck, but they all have way too much HP, so the fights last forever. The unlock system is extremely grindy and doesn't feel like you're improving as much compared to Hades. I should have just bought Hades 2, but I love the Turtles and this game doesn't feel fun to play alone. Also the number of skills is super limited and you always face the same bosses and a set of mini bosses. The scaling for these challenge portals for bosses/mini bosses is a joke single player and should be avoided unless you're a master and want to waste a lot of time facing such heavy HP pool and armored enemies. The demo kind of tricked me, as I felt the game was balanced enough single player where I made it through the demo in about 2-3 hours. Nothing felt like a slog, but the true game is a slog. If you do play this remember damage is king and damage over time is the way to go with these HP sponges. A demo I liked enough to give a 7.5/10 or something and the real game is like a high 6/10. I beat the game once at least, but I'm retiring it after almost 12 hours (I really gave it a chance).

I spent 4 hours clicking and got an order for SF6 Ultimate, stuck in pending, fingers crossed it's not cancelled after "maintenance" ends.

They seem to be refunding people that didn't reveal keys. Or giving partial refunds depending on which keys were revealed. So as of now there might be a chance they aren't revoking any keys and as long as you revealed them you might get to keep them.
