This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.
See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.
He should go hangout with us in the xbox thread lol. 10% xbox talk, 15% busting each others butts, 25% random ways to earn spacebucks, 50% s**t posting lol
I signed up for some SoftPoop Premium to get caught up on all the Ubisoft games I've avoided over the years and here are my thoughts:
AssCreed Shadows - hate it
Star Wars Outlaws - hate it
Avatar whatever it's called - hate it
AssCreed Mirage - hate it
Monopoly - can't stop playing it
To break up the pizza Vampire Survivors released free DLC with SaGa: Emerald Beyond characters and such surprisingly. Weapons can even glimmer which is cool. Seems totally random, but that is pretty cool. It's also available on the PS and probably other places Vampire Survivors has come out.

Rule of Civ: Always buy the version that's one behind the current release and get the "complete edition" for a relative song in comparison. Less headaches, bugs, and they'll feel like a full Civ release versus the start of one.
Also a rule is to wait for the first big DLC/expansion to get a more complete game. I'm very glad I skipped it and will come back after it's very cheap (unlikely for a while) or it's discounted with the first major DLC (likely). I love Civilization games and I do agree playing the previous version cheap is good, especially with boat loads of DLC like Civilization 6.
Some additional (completed game) updates (that I forgot) from the bunker....
Cyberpunk 2077 2.0/2.1 version - (Rating 9) - Big fan of the TTRPG (Mike Pondsmith in da hizzouse, yo!!!), Really liked this game. Great voice acting, loved the large city...liked the story/missions. Would have been disappointed I think if I bought it day 1...3 years earlier....but I didn't so...go, me!!
Cyberpunk 2077 - Phantom Liberty DLC (solid 9) - Interesting story, pretty long, good voice acting...
Ghost of Tsushima (8.5/9) - Great game. I would rather play this again than go back to AssCreed: Shadows. I feel the combat in Ghost is more..eh...polished? than AC: Shadows. I spend all my time in Shadows fighting the camera angle and trying to get my dumbass from attempting to not climb shit or jump into haystacks in the middle of combat.
Robocop: Rogue City (8) - Solid game, great if you are a fan of the original RoboCop movie. Great voice acting, sound effects, and fairly solid game play and story. Need to get to Terminator: Resistance....
Why Walter, where are your low rated games? You only ever mentioned 8's and 9's. IS THIS YOUR HOMEWORK, LARRY?!!?!?!?
Anyway....I do include some (like Shadows). But many I just put down, incomplete, and run away from (Drug Dealer Simulator, Contraband Police....)
They're not necessarily turrible....but they end up annoying me or worse yet, boring me and I peace-out.....
Coming soon: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (currently 35hrs in)

There's no low scores there b/c you picked all awesome bangers - i.e. CP 2077 and its DLC/expansion, Robocop: Rogue City, Deus Ex MD (even despite its crap-ending), and also Ghosts of Tsush. - yeah, these are all 8.0+ games to me. All awesome games.
Granted, I ain't played Tsush - but heard its great, so this all makes sense to me.

I just finished Robocop this past week and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great all-around game made even better with the respect and love they showed to the IP.
Same goes with Terminator Resistance. I also played this earlier this year and once again, a really solid game that also highly respects the IP they're using. If you enjoyed Robocop I'm fairly certain you'll enjoy Terminator as well.
I'm torn on Robocop, Terminator, and Cyberpunk. They look like amazing games, and I think I even saw the Alex Murphy edition on sale for like $10 today - but I have so many games, and...the backlog...

I've spent about $770, but does this include EVERYTHING? If so a big chunk of that would be for my Steam Deck. I think I have bought a lot more keys from Fanatical/Humble through bundles than directly from Steam.
Overall game purchases are much, much more than that, however. My spreadsheet shows $3200 on bundles and $5900 on individual purchases over the course of 13 years. Of course, not all of that was solely for my account as it includes purchases for my family, purchases for other clients and keys I've sold or given away.
Kinda depressed now. I'm gonna find a nice banana and curry pizza to wash away this feeling.

I do not think it includes keys that are from other sites. I think it is only those items bought directly from Steam Store Front. Quite possibly it doesn't even include the Humble Choice Bundles because how would they valuate what each game "cost"?
Huh, $1120 over less than 23 years. Considering I usually got a deal on credit whenever I did buy direct off Steam, can assume about 10% less that amount was actually spent so about a grand. $44 per year at that rate which is less than any new release during that time period. Most everything I bought on there was actually via sales and predominantly indie or AA. TBH I'm shocked it's actually that high. My library is only 170 games and quite a bit was from bundles, CD key redemption or just free. Seriously questioning the data here because that feels too high for how little I've used Steam.
OMG, figured it out via previous post. $650+tax of that was the LE Steamdeck I bought my wife from Christmas a year ago lol.
I mean, to be fair, that's over 20+ years. All told, including other platforms, figure I've spent $10-12k on games. I don't see that as being an unreasonable amount to spend on my main hobby, over that length of time.

Poor wording on my part, I know that it doesn't include keys purchased outside Steam directly. I was just wondering if that total includes non-game purchases (i.e. Steam Deck/dock). If so, I've spent only $254.68 on games directly from Steam. My library has 666 games.

'Jesus Christ Simulator' is a new take on the 'Superhero Simulator' game genre. You are tasked by God your Father with fixing the broken system that humans now live in. Armed with Unlimited Miracles, Flight & Superpowers, you will change the world and help its people. You are THE Ultimate Superhero!
I was late to the "Steam" game since I preferred physical media. I bought a gaming laptop in 2017 and discovered I had no disc drive. I learned that it was pretty much standard to not have a disc drive at that point so I caved lol. I am shocked by the total in just 8 years since I never buy anything at full price. I did buy the LCD Deck at launch and the OLED deck at launch so maybe that explains some of it.

I can't imagine what these numbers would be if we could factor in bundles. I'm pretty sure all of us here have spent as much or more on them than we have on Steam directly.
And I don't know about the rest of you, but very few of those were anywhere near full price.
