Guacamelee: Super Turbo Championship Edition has been announced for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, and Wii U.  It's a little unclear if this version has any content that's not already in the Gold version for PC, but hopefully they'll update the Steam version if there is any.

Yep - it's normally "eventually" w/ them...

When that "eventually" is w/ them, God knows...

Finally beat Thief, it took me 18 hrs on master difficulty. I did alot of sidequests in the beginning. The later parts of the game kinda suck, Thief is pretty weak but its an alright stealth game. 7/10
So, in order - favorite Thief game to least!

Go!

I still need to work on the original Dark Souls: PTD.

Sooner they get it out for PC, hopefully sooner we get some price-drops & eventually reach them 75% off sales! :D
You haven't finished it yet? I figured by the multiple dissertations i've seen you write on these forums that you must've completed it by now

So Onlive (remember them?) is apparently back and you can download your games now. What a concept!

Translation from Online:

Our Onlive servers, your ISP, and your Net Connection just ain't reliable enough for this full-blown Cloud and streaming thing.

Plus, we ain't making money like Steam.

Now, we must try to be like the rest of the digital distributors - and maybe actually make some $!

The idea is solid and I do think it's the future but you're right that at present it's better as a supplement rather than the sole source for gaming. Valve and Sony have both taken up cloud gaming but only as a side project. Onlive finally seem to get that point. That maybe the future is not quite now.

It also didn't help that they just stopped trying after a while and eventually cleaned house and fired everybody.

Carbon was the last one I played on consoles, and my first taste of open-world racing. Enjoyed it a lot, but it doesn't stick with me like Underground (which I spent probably more time with than any other racing game ever, save maybe Burnout Revenge, which also deserves a Steam release).

I still have the soundtrack from Underground going around my head, so many great tracks,

Dammit - I wish EA would re-release NFS: Underground 1 + 2 for the PC on Steam and/or Origin.

I wonder if they'd have to re-new some licenses on some songs, though...

Nice relaunch guys.
You've gotta subscribe to their CloudLift service to download games, apparently.. which means you can't download anything you've previously bought without subscribing.to CloudLift. They should just die already. I'm not liking any of the enhancements they made to the UI either, now half of my games don't show up in my Onlive library, I have to search for them manually.

Funny enough I managed to find a glitch during the first battle. If you try to engage the wrong drow elf you might run into a glitch where you can't continue. Other than that, I was smiling ear to ear while playing it. I mean this is coming from someone who was a huge South Park fan before. I haven't watched the show consistently in like a decade now, but it was my favorite show in college.

It just really feels like being inside an episode of South Park. As far as the movement/combat I don't really want to put down SMRPG because it's actually a neat game and the dev is a CAG, but I definitely prefer SP. The movement is just miles better in SP and does a good job of mastering smooth 3D movement in a 2D world. Combat I prefer just because it is a little bit more consistent (read easier) in SP than SMRPG. They both do a similar sort of minigame to attack, but SP remains consistent from turn to turn. IIRC SMRPG actually switched things up sometimes with what keys you had to press and stuff. Some people might actually prefer that since it is more of a challenge, I prefer it just being consistently the same buttons so you can get into a groove and master the system.

Truth be told, I hate hate hate turn based games, but both SMRPG and SP have plenty of charm and personality for me to get over that and enjoy them. As far as the QTE type thing, I enjoyed Telltale's TWD so as long as the rest of the game is very well done I don't mind them at all.

So basically, South Park fans this game is freaking awesome. Non-South Park fans, you might want to wait for the usual MSRP drop/75% off unless the combat/mechanics sound appealing to you.

UIG is really milking the hell out of their new by pass greenlight and get an all access pass status. I guess they are going to put every half arsed oddball dry nichey German simulator they can on. At this point I wouldn't be shocked if the Tiefbau Simulator shows up and they don't even bother to translate the name.

*Edit: I guess the Tiefbau one is by Headup Games. Same shit, different Germans.

I think Streaming & Cloud is a great idea for an extra additional OPTION. but NOT as a requirement - especially true in today's modern era.

Streaming and Cloud would be pretty sweet (as long as it works properly), especially if I'm short on HDD space and/or I'm somewhere on the go w/ a laptop where I don't have the game stored.

With any sort of Cloud requirement - if something's going wrong on my PC's end, my ISP's end, or on the game servers' end - we're screwed. If a game requires Stream and Cloud - well, we'd be screwed, if something's going wrong on any end.

If say I'm having connection troubles and want to play an offline game (Single-player game), having the game stored locally is great - I can just play and go. Don't gotta worry about anything else but my PC.

So I'm going to be doing a 10 hour stream (3pm to 1am GMT) on Saturday March 15 to raise money for the Naomi House charity.

What games would you guys like to see us play / giveaway? I'm looking for ideas, nothing is off limits here.
Desert Bus?

Great, now I'm horny again.

I really hope South Park manages to find a decent sale before too long. I'm still kicking myself over taking my time debating over buying it when it was still available from our sellers.
I loved the first couple seasons, but it fell off my radar when real-world stuff started replacing college stuff. I don't think I've seen a single episode in the last seven or eight years. This game is on my wishlist, but it's probably going to stay there until the price drops below $10. Summer Sale 2015, maybe?

Another day, another simulator released on Steam

So... you virtually crunch numbers to create simulated imaginary money? Yo dawg, we heard you like mining...

Heat Death of the Universe.
Or even longer.

You know what's perfect for an ordinary laptop? Neo-retro-indie-trash, and old games (e.g. GTA SA, or GOG stuff). They often have the advantage of having a small footprint.

What cha think?

Install Thief: Gold (Steam) + Thief II: The Metal Age (Retail) on my old laptop? ;)

EDIT:

What about Omikron (GOG)? ;)

I have it yeah. The city stuff wasn't exactly a requirement or anything. It does suck that Underground isn't on Steam. Neither is Carbon and I love Carbon.
<3 Carbon.

It brought all the awesomeness of the old Underground games and added the first fully customizable layered graphics system I ever came across in a game. The only better systems I've found since are in the Forza series.

I really do love Underground 2 for the drag races though. There has never been a funner drag racing mode in a racing game, ever. Shift times, nitrous, tapping left or right to switch lanes and weaving in and out of traffic... no comparison, I never understood why they got rid of that mode.

The stream is on a Saturday 3pm-1am GMT. Is the game really that bad in terms of nudity?
No. The ONLY nudity in the entire game is seen for barely a split second if you win a fight as Luna, that's only with the uncensored optional DLC, and even then it's arguably still not quite nudity.

I think someone said coupons are added, but no emails sent. Might be worth checking it out.

Thanks for the heads up, worked like a charm!

This is why I have an extraordinary laptop. :D

Oh, man - I loved Carbon, as well.

Same goes for Most Wanted 2005, as well.

Those two racers were what got me really into NFS series on the PC.

Traditional drag racing in other racing games just doesn't translate into being all that FUN. It's not bad in Forza 5 with assists off, since you have to deal with managing wheel spin, but really, it's easy to hit shift times the same every time in a video game. Drag racing just isn't fun when both racers can perform exactly the same, almost every time, with very little effort. It just comes down to performance and tuning, which sucks all of the skill out of the process.

Underground 2 made it fun, plain and simple.

^_^ Ah. I don't really recall running into it in others games (well, sorta in F1 2012). Yes, it was executed well in U2. It was both interesting and challenging, but not the highpoint of U2 for me. U2's drift competition mode was freaking awesome, I freaking loved that (an appropriate car and a bit of tuning makes a difference, but it's largely skill). U2 also had nice tuning... a few well distilled controls that were meaningful.

Drift was a highlight as well, but considering they kept that in the series and it was still pretty well executed, I still missed drag more.

Downhill drift in Carbon was pretty nuts.

considering I totally forgot to buy humble bundle 11, due to work/Skyrim syndrome and still need to play this game as long as it discounts I'm happy.

^_^
Actually it was an oblique reference to FreeQ.net, an early web-hoster... and I'm not sure I want to explain the rest.
Hey, you wouldn't know about that. You're a teenage girl. Don't disturb CAG's juvenile fantasy of you.

<3 those Canyon Downhill Drifts from Carbon. :D
The one on one races against the gang leaders were amazing too. Never seen anything close to that in another game.

I just 100%-ed Dust: An Elysian Tail and I have to say it was quite excellent. It by far exceeded my preconceived expectations of being just another indie metroidvania platformer. Developer Dean Dorill really did a great job with this game. The controls, combat, item system, art design, characters and music were all great. I thought all those elements came together nicely for an overall balanced game. Nothing was too complex, the puzzles were pretty straight forward, and the end result was a damn good game from start to finish.

I can't believe I put this one off for so long... (looks at the mountain-sized backlog) ...well, maybe I can. On to the next one...
