The 7th Guest was a great game for its time.  The music remains excellent.  I have a soft spot for the game as a whole.

The 11th Hour was delayed a long time before its release, supposedly due to contract disputes with the original actors.  Some of the original ghosts appear again, but you have no idea who they are because their replacement actors don't look a thing like them.  The game wasn't as good as the original, but kudos to them for figuring out HOW to continue after the first story.  Unfortunately, by the time it did release, it no longer felt relevant and was already dated.

Clandestiny was another game they made with the same engine, but it was absolutely terrible.  You can't tell what's going on half the time and the final puzzle requires you to arrange voice clips in the proper order to recite a mantra, but it's impossible to tell what some of them are saying due to bad sound and horribly imitated Scottish accents.  I'm glad no one's bothered to rerelease it.

Eh? Until... probably less than two years ago, I don't think I'd ever heard of the World of Darkness IP, either. If you missed VtMB, it's really not that difficult to not notice that it exists as a video gamer.
Not really at all... The king of Pen and Paper RPGs will always be the many forms of Dungeons and Dragons (in being the most well known) but World of Darkness and its very subsets are likely the second most well known... Its a distant second. Likely a very distant second but its not an unknown. I think the connection between those that play P&P RPG and video game doesn't really need to be discussed as most of the early video game RPGs pulled from the P&P games. (With and without the IP.)

Personally, I couldn't care about the MMO failing... Just because MMOs aren't really my thing but I do hope this frees the IP(s) up for more video games.... MysterD might be looking for a Bloodlines sequel (I know I would be) but I would be much more excited to see a a new Hunter: The Reckoning game. (Link, Link, and Link.)

I knew there was a Vampire and a Werewolf made by White Wolf, but until this discussion the term "World of Darkness" wasn't known to me. I played D&D and various other RPGs for 15 years.

Yeah, not sure how many years ago it was but they decided to bring everything under one umbrella... I think this goes as far as the system but I'm not too positive on that. Like you I've mostly known about it but never really played it.

I know this isn't a current sale so I'm not sure if I'm breaking some sort of etiquette by bringing it up but has anyone played Contagion? I saw it pop up on the featured list on Steam this morning and it looks interesting, although I tend to buy every zombie themed game no matter how bad it is lol.

GetGamesGo Daily Deal:

..Why just Episode 1?

Anyways, if for some reason you don't own it and are interested, Episode 2 is much better, so if you're going to get Ep 1, you're definitely better off just waiting for a sale on both so you can play them together (and also have Episode Metal unlocked from owning both).

And if you're a fan of 2D Sonic games, just don't play Episode 1 at all.

Ever.

Man, Lego Marvel hit $5 quick.
You don't have to be the World's Greatest Detective to see that it hit that price in a Flash. I'm glad that my Green Arrow was fixed on the cheapass target and I didn't buy it at a higher price as I'm no Lex Luthor and overpaying for things is the Bane of my existence.

They're all fluff. Just like SR3, the season pass is most will ever want/need. Unless you're a DLC completionist, that is.
I sort of am lol. I can't help but to want to own all content even if it's useless. Not that it matters atm. I haven't even touched SR3 yet so I'm fine waiting for a complete pack to hopefully show up at some point. I'm more tempted by the Lego sale since I have yet to try one of the games yet.

Hmmmm, did you use all DC heroes on purpose? Doing so would seem like a shot at Marvel, but I'm not seeing that intent.

ere Bigby's
this really makes me wanna play the wolf among us

Yeah saw that on NeoGaf and i'm surprised at how many people think it's a bug. It's a mod which was posted shortly after the 3rd episode released and there was a "stripper" video where Bigby's model was replaced with one of the girls uploaded by the same person IIRC I cannot find them in the thread anymore or on youtube they must of been removed since Telltale has been kind of anal with mods , fan art and searching through game files as of late probably due to copyright. Here is the the original thread however http://www.telltalegames.com/community/discussion/64776/sexy-bigby-bod-admiration-thread

I don't know why that would be perceived as a shot at Marvel and not just a guy who is seriously confused about comics books. Besides, what reason would I have to try and take Marvel down a peg?

I'm snapping up LEGO Marvel, but I'm heartbroken that -- yet again -- LEGO Indiana Jones doesn't go on sale. I hate you, LucasArts!

I'm a bit surprised at the weak discount on Saint's Row IV. There's no way I'm paying more than $10 for the complete version of the game.

Ugh, why isn't Crusader Kings 2 collection $10 yet?

*sigh* Maybe we'll at least get another bundle like IG Dwarves when CK3 is finally announced.

I realllllly want SR4 - now the debate to keep waiting for a deal on a complete pack or just get it.
I'm gonna wait for a better deal on SR4.

66% is NOT 75% off or better.

Plus, like you said - good chance since there's 26 DLC's there'll be a Camplete Pack...since SR3 had one.

Some people were having issues reserving their free games from WGN. I've updated the site so it may be better now:

Sweezy Gunner - http://wgn.uk.to/redeem/sweezy
Orbital Gear - http://wgn.uk.to/redeem/orbital
Swipecart - http://wgn.uk.to/redeem/swipecart
Tales of Adventure 2 - http://wgn.uk.to/redeem/toa2

Can you guys let me know if you have any issues?
All those worked fine for me, but the steam community referral links were being weird. I think Steam Community features may be having some issues right now.
