+1. You're barking up the wrong tree. I still think you need an actual honest to goodness real Valve employee. Trust me every time I have dealt with 'Steam support' all that happens is they talk round and round in circles and I waste my time.

Since you've worked with a bunch of developers and lots of people in the community, have a popular twitch channel etc isn't there someone you know who has any sort of contact at Valve that isn't 'support?'. Surely someone should be able to help, I would think.

Wow. Getting it for $2 a week or two ago just gets sweeter and sweeter. I bet my double-pack buddy is happy too. :mrgreen:

I guess the price hike guarantees it won't be in a bundle/on sale from now 'till then?

Well, when great games loaded w/ DRM get re-released years later on GoG w/out any DRM, I'm sure the video-game economy will go up again. ;)

Game companies seem to love doing that re-release stuff, anyways.

EDIT:

I'm thinking that for Steam, it really helped Steam and Valve out financially when EA - one of the biggest publishers in the world, whether you love it, hate it, or are on the fence about it - decided to come put on Steam and was actually constantly releasing games on both Steam and Origin.

Well that and wistfully reminiscing about the time The Secret World was $5, wanting a PC port for Red Dead Redemption and every new release AAA game for $5.

He lives on a different plane of existence than you and I. Hell, he probably pre-ordered Dragon Age 3 already.

I ain't seen Dragon Age: Inquisition at $30 or less yet.

Long-winded, time-consuming RPG's (i.e. 30 hours plus) - especially BioWare Games, Bethesda Games, and CD Projekt Games - are often the games I will budge quite a bit on.

Also, DA:I comes out the month of birthday (in early October). So, actually...don't be surprised if I am asking for it as a present for my B-Day (Oct. 25th) or I just actually go buy it for myself and splurge.

That's b/c w/ those particular game companies and especially that genre of games (RPG), I often do feel that I actually normally do get my time and money's worth on their games - especially when it comes to that "bang for buck" factor.

Did you get Reign of Giants for $2 as well ?

I can see them putting Don't Starve on sale again; Maybe the expansion will come during the summer steam sales, making the 2-pack more attractive.

 
Soo any of u guys actually play anything good lately?  Like maybe Full Bore, Hack and Slash...Mr Bree+....anything?  

I been playing some Bound By Flame on PS4 and its a pretty good action rpg with some funny dialog in it. The guys who made Mars War Logs made this game but this game is way better than War Logs. Combat is clunky but its not bad. Its a solid 7/10 game. I think its only like $25 on gmg too.

I've been engrossed in my NBA 2K13 career, but since Amazon just had 2K14 for $2.50 I bit on that and going to get started on a new career. I was doing so well in my old one it was hard to let it go.

I finished Splinter Cell: BlackList last night.

Best SC game since CT...

...but the game's a total technical-mess.

BUYER BEWARE b/c of the technical-mess part.

If you can't get a connection to Ubi's servers + SC:BL game servers you can prepare for every 20-30 minutes to get kicked from the game; don't have a high-end PC; don't decide to play w/ INI files to tweak the video-settings....

Then SKIP this game til it gets fixed.

 
Maybe this is old news but I noticed Steam is defaulting the front page to show the "Top Sellers" tab instead of "New Releases". It's a subtle shift but one that is going to highlight popular games more than the slew of greenlight and new old games and such being released these days.

Nice, Blacklist is good but I liked Conviction a lil better. The game runs real good on my laptop also.

@cheapassfox- Im glad u finally decided to get the new nba game after it hits $2.50 lol. I got it too.

Conviction was disappointing - even though I still did like it, since it was a good action game. Lack of lights to shoot-out, unable to drag bodies, and unable to hide bodies really did NOT make Conviction fell much like the stealthy Splinter Cell game that I was looking for.

BlackList did a much better job 90% of the game of letting the player decide themselves to play stealthy, play like an up-front crazy murderer, or mix both styles how they see fit.

EDIT:

Now, if only I could get BlackList to connect to the online BlackList servers...

Yeah, both me and my two-pack buddy had the expansion included. He paid $4 and I paid $2. A free MP expansion on top of that is just gravy.
