It would be nice if you could list the non-marketable items (coupons) on the marketplace for free rather than just let them clutter up my inventory. Even deleting them would be nice for the stuff that has zero value (betas).

It says no card drops remaining. I was very confused and kept checking my inventory til I realized it's free to play and that must be the reason.

I clicked "How do I earn drops" and it explains how you have to have spent money before the card set was released, and that I can only earn one card per $9 spent.

Having perused my Steam friends list just now. I happen to notice quite a few of you (and some actually surprisingly so) DON'T have Coconut Queen. My supreme 9th level CAGliness prevents me from buying it at the moment, especially since it is at retail (excuse me while I go brush my teeth, my mouth feels dirty now) with no discount whatsoever. However the summer sale is just around the corner. It's too late, I have your names, and in the spirit of Motoki, who did bequeath me such a gem of a game, I shall also curse , ughh, gift it to you all....in time, Oh yes. in a very short time..... The ranks of the BGCQ shall overflow with the reckoning of new blood.

Can anyone confirm what I assume, that the Nvidia codes are NOT for Watch Dogs Deluxe edition? The only reason I question it is that I believe the Splinter Cell Blacklist Nvidia codes were for Deluxe.

Okay well they must have changed that very recently then because I definitely got card drops from Aerena and I didn't spend any microtransaction money on it. A good chunk of my friends list got card drops from it too checking the 'friends have such and such card' list and I know most of those cheapasses would never buy any micro crap from that game.

*Edit: Someone in the comments under the May 1st announcement about Aerena getting cards said he (and I believe all the existing owners at that point) were able to get some card drops from it just through play time but apparently when he gifted his copy to a friend that friend didn't get the cards. I suspect going forward new owners don't get cards just for playing because it's free now and everyone 'owns' it, but though who 'bought it' previously (or got it from a bundle) when it was still pay and Early Access do get cards.

Because there's that whole 'Let's charge for our Free to Play game while it's in Early Access' trend going on now. Don't get me started on that. :bomb:

ok, now I see that cards are up on my account - looks like it works just as it was with TF2. Thank you. Though issue remains with giftable copies - I gifted mine to my kid and he don't have cards available for his game. Gun Monkeys avoided that - all copies had cards drops, gifted or not. Can that be fixed?

That's really weird. I just idled it recently and got my card drops for it. I never spent a cent in the game. I had redeemed a code for it from the Be Mine 11 bundle from Groupees back in February so maybe me having the game before its CARDZ were implemented meant I was eligible for CARDZ to drop? Only logical thing I can think of.

It was in some bundle recently, that's why we are able to get cards. I'm idling as we speak.

That Whistleblower dlc is really good, its even more fuked up than the base game. Took me around 2 and a half hours to finish, i give it a 8/10.

Pound and Ground does that for me. It teases me with part of a cut scene with cows and then crashes without fail. Don't know why I want to play it so bad, but I do and I can't. 1200+ games and the ONE I want to play doesn't work. Go figure. FML.

The Stomping Land is a multiplayer survival game about living in a world with dinosaurs. Form tribes, build traps, and hunt down Earth's historic beasts with the goal of becoming the most dominant tribe on the island. 

Players assume the role of a tribal hunter with basic survival needs such as hunger and thirst. Using resources gathered from the environment, hunters can upgrade their core items, build campsites, and set traps to aid them in their hunt. Successful hunters will discover the ability to tame dinosaurs to use as mounts and other advantages. 

 
This article seems relevant to the discussion we were having yesterday about EA.

This is another. The Strategy Informer article raises an interesting point about game reviews--as of the last few months at least, PC Gamer has had a section devoted specifically to alpha/EA games where games are pseudo-reviewed but not rated (all are given a Greek letter alpha).

Yes and no.

Train Simulator 2014 is an updated version of 2013.

However package sold as Train Simulator 2014 is different from the one sold as Train Simulator 2013, as in you get different trains & tracks. You need to buy 2014-package if you want access to these.

Anybody here a fan of Kerbal Space Program? I tried the demo and was pretty confused. Maybe I need to give it another go.

Is it worth it, or should I wait for he price to drop more?

Before it came out of EA and became F2P, you were essentially buying one of the starter packs for Aerena, not the game itself. I don't really see the problem for this, especially you were getting it for cheaper than the same pack(s) would cost once it went F2P (even more so because we all got it in a bundle).

Have you ever wanted to work at NASA? Because that's essentially what you're doing in KSP, including all the math that comes with it. I've heard a lot of good things about it, but also that it has a high learning curve (you'll probably be watching tutorials to learn how to properly calculate trajectory, how much fuel you need, etc). The people that get past that seem to find it extremely rewarding, to the extent I'm planning to pick it up sometime and push past my anti-math mindset, but if that sort of thing sounds beyond what you want to do in a game you might be best waiting.

Well, I've screwed up my "No new games until Black Friday" plan a few times this week, but I was doing really well. Maybe skipping this game will be my first step back towards recovery. I'd buy it mainly to play with my son, but we already have 4 lego games, Awesomnauts, 2 Scribblenauts games, Dungeon Defenders...

But those games won't teach him how to fly helpless kerbals into the sun...it's educational!
