Would you say you are experienced at it? :)

I wish it was that simple, there's a thread over on the Steam forum where people experienced the same issue. Some were able to fix it by verifying cache, but that didn't work for me.

They have a bug thread on the forum for reporting issues, but I don't think they've fixed anything since launch.

That sucks. At least there'll be some help in existing Steam threads.

They just released a patch, haha. But it was to create save folders since the game didn't do it at all.

Quakecon 2014 Daily Deals
Dishonored GOTY Edition - $29.99 $10.19 [customspoiler=Includes]

[/customspoiler]

[/customspoiler]
If I didn't own Dishonored base-game already, I'd so be all over Dishonored: GOTY.

And major freakin' bleh @ 66% off Dishonored GOTY; and only 50% off DLC's piece-by-piece.

Damn you, BethSoft - damn you!

EDIT:

Cool.

The Elder Scrolls Online is getting Gamepad / Controller support (eventually), per this post here.

"Gamepad: We are in the early stages of adding PC support for gamepad input. Several functions for querying trigger, stick, and button states will appear in the documentation, but these functions have not yet been enabled."

....still annoyed its $15 a month....
Given what I played from the ESO Beta when No NDA's were forced - so, are they gonna enable "Fun", "offline mode" (especially for anything that can be done SP-style), and "less generic-ness", and "less cliches" ever into the game? ;)

BTW - "Cool" @ PC version getting gamepad/controller-support. That's good, to try and get more console gamers to maybe buy the PC-version.

Anybody have advice on selling foil cards?

I have the only Abu foil for Millennium 2 right now. One of the other foils is up at $20 and all the rest are $4-6. I put mine up for $14, but don't know if I should be more around the $4-6 ones. Should I just wait it out and see if anybody's foolish enough to buy it at the high price or take advantage of having the only one and price aggressively? Or will this card just never sell because people don't care about this game?
You aren't going to sell a foil for over $5 unless something really crazy happens. By all means, set your price high, but going OVER any on the market is almost always going to be a bad move. The only reason you should EVER not put your foil price below the lowest price is if there are very few foils for that game, all the foils are SELLING (selling, not just sitting) for over $4 or so, and the lowest price on the foil you want to sell is around $1. In that case, feel free to either beat the next guy instead, wait for that $1 foil to sell, or buy it yourself if you're feeling lucky. There is always a point where you should buy ridiculously cheap foils. I flipped a $2 one for $9 once, and just recently I found one for 15 cents and sold it for over a buck. It happens.

Also, like someone said, watch the buy orders. Sometimes someone will want a fair price for a foil that is doomed to fall in value and hardly sell, so their $2 buy order may be great compared to the 85 cents everyone will actually be SELLING the foils for in a week. Jump on those.

If you own one or more of the games in that promo, then you get a discount on the other games. The discounts aren't working properly right now though, I can't get Mousecraft's discount to work, but 10,000,000 works fine.

It looks like the Mousecraft coupon some of us got will stack with this.

(Thanks to NeoGAF for the info.)
So... Mousecraft for 33% off + 20% off? And you're telling us this... why?

oy vey it hurts so much to see bethesda's crap lumped in with the likes fallout and DOOM
Hey now, you're supposed to be hiding in a cave somewhere waiting for the next Summer Sale! Git!

So a shitty MMO is getting shitty controller support?

Yogscast became a registered company with a business team that now offers revenue-share deals to game developers: a limited time cut of games sales in exchange for coverage. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-07-16-blurred-lines-are-youtubers-breaking-the-law
Well that is the very epitome of TL;DR.

Lost Planet 3 may be one of Capcom's worst modern PC ports, and not because the game is bad.

1. Save data folder isn't automatically created for most people. This means if you don't manually create a save folder, your saves will be deleted after you exit the game. Would suck for anyone putting hours into the game in their first go without realizing the bug exists.

2. Controls sometimes randomly don't work the first time you launch the game, I had to reset controls to default twice for the bindings to work.

3. One of the control prompts early into the game for keyboard is wrong, this had me trying out every possible control for about 3 minutes to figure out what key to use.

4. Mouse sensitivity is terrible. I managed to make it tolerable by making the sensitivity settings extremely low, but it's still noticeably bad whenever you try to zoom in with the rifle.

5. Game crashes to desktop whenever I switch music tracks in the rig. I don't know how common this bug is but I can reproduce it every time. Easy solution is to turn off the rig music or just don't change the music and let it play automatically.

6. One of the most annoying bugs.. a boss I encountered was invincible the first 4 times I fought it. I finally managed to defeat it on the last attempt. This boss was fairly easy, I was doing nothing wrong.. the game randomly decides to make it invincible due to the bug.

I'm sure I'll encounter more bugs since I haven't finished the game yet, but this is a warning for anyone that was planning on playing it.
Lost Planet 3 sucks.

I thought the KB/mouse controls in the ESO Beta were fine.

As long as they don't screw with the KB/mouse controls - I have no problem w/ them adding controller-support to gamers who like using gamepads.

This could be good get console gamers interested in the game, who might actually want to buy the PC-version - especially if any of their buddies are playing it on the PC.

That's if somehow since the Beta, Zenimax Online actually made ESO worthwhile in the last few months.... ;)

get on steam so u can have ur complaints all day long with ur cag

The Quakecon bundle doesn't include Brink, Rogue Warrior, Hunted, Elder Scrolls 3+4, any Quake games, Doom 3, Doom BFG...

This same bundle had all that (except for Doom BFG) a few years ago.
Hey - they (Zenimax) probably figure that they need to try to over-price stuff + recoup somehow, since they probably spent WAY, WAY TOO MUCH $ on developing the bland + mediocre ESO. ;)

Is this going to end up being Motoki's new avatar?
Heh give me time to get home.

Oddly enough ai thought about posting him the other day when a certain person in the Amazon thread was all LEAVE JOSH ALONE!!
but figured it wasn't worth the extra drama and left everyone to talk about pizza and other non-deals.

Elder Scrolls online 50% off? Someone's getting desperate...
I bet there's people who bought it bitching about not being able to get Steam keys and then other people bitching back at them that it's an MMO and they don't need it.

If I had a nickel for every time someone complained about Bethesda's DLC pricing structure...

I could probably almost afford the price of Bethesda's DLC.

That ETS2 bundle is pretty bad, some of the paint jobs are neat but just decoration, the East DLC can be easily replaced with free maps that are supposed to add way more (and better). Don't know about the games, though not sure why'd you want the Scania game if you have ETS2.

Haven't seen the current humble weekly but if it has OOTP 14 and Cook, Serve, Delicious for $1 it already sounds awesome.

Ehh, the Going East DLC seems pretty solid and to add a lot to the game. It was $2ish on GG though, so this isn't a great deal unless you have none of this and really want a bunch of simulators that are vastly inferior to ETS2.

ETS2 is really, really good.

Yeah.. why would anyone pay $4 for that. #FakeCAGs. I passed on it for a dollar because it looks like bundle fodder.
Same. Not to mention the game looks stupid.

New Blink Bundle.

Trading Card Games Bundle 2

$2 Tier:

A Virus Named Tom

LOVE

Not The Robots

Ring Runner: Flight of the Sages

$5 Tier:

Go Home Dinosaurs

FATE

Chip

Retro/Grade

Secret of the Magic Crystals

Secret of the Magic Crystals: The Race (DLC)

Circuits

Canyon Capers

Canyon Capers - Rio Fever (DLC)

Slightly tempting... if not just for the SotMC DLC. And maybe FATE (I recall playing it a long time ago and was amused).

Yeah, that's been my theory since the crap pricing at GMG during the IFD thing and the Steam Summer Sale.

That's a pretty good Blink Bundle, which is surprising considering how many repeats were in the original Trading Cards bundle. Of course I'm referring to the $5-tier, not the $1-tier. Odd that they changed their pricing structure (though it's definitely fair in this case) when Casey said they weren't trying to devalue games.

Edit: Nevermind, it's $1.99 like usual. Y u lie idiot?

The tier with anything not bundled to death and worth a damn is $5.

I'm in the same boat as idiot. I want pony racing and Fate. That $5 though

Well, I have a week to decide between this and the humble weekly, so I guess I'll give myself a few days to make a decision.

I'm missing enough that this would have made a reasonable bundle at $2 (or even $3), but at $5 it's overpriced for the games that I want.

FATE is supposedly a generic Torchlight.

It has three expansions, only one of which is up on steam.  It looks like they might dribble out the XPACs on steam to maximize revenue.

The base game had been cheap on steam earlier in the year, but I decided (1) I have enough ARPG backlog atm and (2) I'll reconsider once the remaining XPACs get on steam.  I really don't want to be nickeled and dimed for 2005 game.

Buy the Blink Bundle... sell the cards, convert Steam wallet to TF2 keys, sell TF2 keys for bitcoin, then buy the Humble Weekly with bitcoin.

...seriously though, Humble Weekly is $1, and Blink is $5, I don't see a valid cost-comparison.

I forget the mod name, but there is one that pretty much added everything in Going East (before going east came out) plus Spain, and others I forgot and is free. Worth a couple bucks to support the devs but seems the only reason to get it (well unless someone hates mods/non-official stuff).

I was more making a joke about Humble's $6 tier with Tropico 4 in it, really. I own most of the dollar tier, and don't give a crap about a baseball game. Besides, THE RACE :whee:

Eh... I'll probably just Gilby it.

I need to see that
So, I just got through watching Under The Skin and that movie was really-really weird.

NO FILM/STORY SPOILERS

Using tags b/c this is in the "Steam" thread.

Hard to really say entirely what I think of it, at the moment. It is quite slow-paced purposely and has definitely "art-house" written all over it.

Just like Only God Forgives - there really is not that much dialogue in Under The Skin; especially when compared to a great majority of modern cinema. Maybe Only God Forgives spoke more to me b/c the imagery was often to me a bit more clear-cut and I wasn't epic failing there on the symbolism, inferences, and whatnot.

With this fiim Under The Skin - I'm not sure if I'm missing something on some that stuff and/or if...there just isn't that much there for me and even actually speaking to me here.

Under The Skin was wonderfully + meticulously lit (or not lit) + shot...

...But for me - I was just not super-fond of its pacing, for a fair amount of it.

If "art house" + slow-paced isn't your cup of tea - stay the hell away from this flick.

If "art house" + slow-paced is your cup of tea - you'll probably wanna see this.

Reviewing cinema in the Steam thread... MysterD, ladies and gents!
Fair enough. I just spoiler-tagged it.

My custom-spoiler tags seem to be epic-failing tonight - just like me.

My thoughts were more long-winded than I thought it was.

And if you didn't know - I rent and watch A LOT of movies.

If I ain't playing games + ain't on message boards - good chance, I'm watching a movie or something on TV.
