Well some other games just store their game saves in the same folder where the game is. So moving the data from one drive to another should theoretically work.

http://pcgamingwiki.com/ has a list of save game locations, you can use it to look up a game in case something is missing.

Thanks ill check the list out
And I believe I noticed the other day that Enhanced Steam adds links to PCGW pages from games' store pages, yet another reason to praise Jeshaq.

Damn, I have a lot of that backlogged.

MNS, your billionth-of-a-cent dedication is admirable.

Wait!!!11! Nobody buy anything from this and we're that much closer to Humble FHI 2!

Holy fuck ing shit. I'm trying to play my preloaded Final Fantasy XIII now that it's released and what do I get?

It takes an hour for it to prealocate and now it's unpacking for another hour while the time remaining continues to increase instead of decreasing. What the fuck was the point of pre-loading the game if it's going to take the same amount of time in the end for this shit regardless of whether it's pre-loaded or not?

You get to stare at the unmoving progress bar early!

It's encrypted, so it can't be leaked. (Encryption has to be slow to be effective at protecting contents.)
Mechanical hard drives aren't good at this type of load as decrypting requires constant reads & writer. (Same goes for unpacking).

Also 720p60 lock confirmed.

I hope Durante gets on this - since he is posting in the NeoGAF FF13 PC Thread.

He did wonders w/ Deadly Premonition PC + Dark Souls PC.

So it can't be leaked eh? You mean like having the game be released say, 4 years ago?

Preloadeding is also used for unreleased games.
If I downloaded for the first time now would I not have to deal with this shit? If I didn't preload would it have installed the game without all this trouble? Would it have installed this specific game the same way as all my other Steam games?

Yeah, it's for preloads only.

Yeah, it's for preloads only.
Thank God. I'm better off starting over. It took less time to download the game.

I'm never doing that again. If I'd have just waited I'd be playing by now.

I was looking over the Focus sale and I may grab some of the items from my wishlist that I'm missing, since I have a bit of Steam credit. Anybody know whether the Contrast soundtrack is any good?

So I've played and messed around with FFXIII and I'll give my quick analysis for those who are curious.

The launcher has two options. 1280x720 Full Screen or 1280x720 Windowed. Then once you launch the game there are no video options, just the usual stuff from the game originally along side the option to choose keyboard or controller prompts.

After getting in game, the videos are fine in the sense that they are the same resolution that you are locked at. Battles seem to be locked at 30FPS, as are the videos. This may be something that's only in the beginning. I'm not sure. Seems to run fine on my 7950, but frame rate does fluctuate a bit when I force AA/AS from my video card.

Oh and hitting the escape button completely kills the game. Game looks fine and plays fine otherwise.

tl;dr If you are looking to just play through the game, it should be fine (Provided you don't have issues running it). Those that are looking for the definitive PC version that you can trick out, I wouldn't count on it until someone manages to create a program to force some better options.

EDIT: I just realized I was forcing maxed out Anti-Aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering. That was causing the frame rate to change a bit. Turning it off, I was a constant 60FPS when the game allowed for it. So I fixed the wording.

EDIT 2: Fixed typo on the resolution.

That sucks for those who bought the game believing what the devs said about sales during EA. I can certainly see why they'd be pissed. But I'm still gonna buy the game when it hits $5. For me, this doesn't even come close to boycott levels of scumbaggery. It just reinforces my already established position that I shouldn't buy EA games (unless I can get them cheap in a bundle).
eh.. when an Early Access game appear in Bundle, then it's a HUGE RED FLAG that the particular game is hurting for money and in HUGE trouble of being abandoned.

All the successful EA titles like Wasteland 2, Divinity etc. didn't bundle their games

This is true, but look at the games you're comparing Carmageddon to: Wasteland 2 was a ridiculously-successful KS (325% of the goal: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/inxile/wasteland-2) with substantial industry support and a rabid fanbase and Larian was an established studio with several successful RPGs under its belt (and another now).

While it definitely looks like some form of cash-grab, it appears that the game is being developed at a steady pace and I doubt this particular one is in danger of being abandoned in the near future.

Also, C:R isn't actually in a bundle AFAIK; it's just on sale, which I think is what's ticking off the Kickstarters.

eh.. I never say that Carmageddon was at risk being abandoned. Btw, Stainless Steel (maker of Carmageddon) is not some fly by indie developer either. and thirdly, Carmageddon is not being bundled

I was just replying to the previous guy about buying EA game via bundle deal. Just be ware that it's a big red sign that developers are running out of fund and prepare for some Early Access drama

Fair enough. I must have misunderstood you then. It was my understanding that The End was alluding to people being upset about Carmageddon: Reincarnation being on sale prior to "release."

I'm pretty sure Carmageddon was in a bundle. Prison Architect is another successful (from what I've heard) EA game that has been bundled.
I believe there was a Humble mobile bundle a little while back that included the android version of Carmageddon, but not the new Steam remake.

I do not believe Carmageddon was bundled. The first game was free on GOG.com at one point but not the new early access version.

And that.

then I must clarify it further b/c i don't think most ppl bother to click on the link i provided to get the whole story.

Ppl are NOT being upset at Carmageddon being on sale.

Ppl are UPSET b/c developer lied & back pedal on their words. They stated that the game wont be on sale at all until it gets out of EA and the early adopter got the best price by buying it NOW (during EA). BAM! it is now on sale while still in EA and the promise "not on sale until get out of EA" got deleted. those who complained about it got their post deleted on official forum.

Durante's already at work on tinkering w/ FF13 PC:

Some people been messing around w/ GeDoSaTo and messing w/ FF13 PC:

Yeah, already found those. I've been watching the FFXIII Neogaf thread for Durante info.

And I actually can force the game into borderless fullscreen, but I'd prefer to do it in a way that doesn't look like shit.

The developers of Prison Architect made it sound like it's never getting released, since they'll never be done. You might as well treat it as a game with free future updates at this point.

Eww FInal Fantasy, so gross.

I'll come back tomorrow to post the new releases.

I recommend Styx for 24, its a good stealth game thats better than Thief
