Anyone remember if Fight the Dragon was in a previous indie bundle? (I'm too lazy to search)

Regardless, I'm starting a group-buy for it (stream-trade thread makes me sick)

Fight the Dragon 4-pack group-buy $3.50 each:

1. me

2. aa.jetta

3. Sepioth

4. Sepioth

done

The Defender's Quest developer continues his series on Gamasutra about how various aspects of Steam affect the sales of his game. He talks about the new layout, the way they targeted the Wishlist in this last sale, and the discoverability aspect of the new design. It sounds as if the Wishlist targeting was a big hit and they do seem to be paying close attention to what's on everyone's lists as well as whether or not they translate into sales.

Very interesting stuff.

Can you imagine the prices those cards will fetch?

There's a really cool game out now- Malebolgia. Looks like a cel shaded Dark Souls mixed with Zelda, i might get dat. Maybe some of you guys should get it if u want to play an actually good game and not bundle fodder  :whistle2:

It reminds me somewhat of google. Yes, the wishlist is nice for the customer to keep a side list of games they are interested in. Steam would be foolish not to utilize this data to their advantage and drive sales. Wishlists are lists of data for Steam to use as well.

I am hopeful that the next Defender's Quest will be as good as the first.

Ultimate Vaulter Hunter mode is coming to Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel as part of a free update, adding a third harder playthrough, the ability to reset your quest progress, and enemies that scale to your level.

The next paid DLC is called The Holodome Onslaught, which is focused around arena challenges with new enemies, weapons, class mods, heads & skins, and it also includes the Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack that boosts the level cap to 60.  Included in the Season Pass, or $9.99 separately.

Both should hit Steam on December 16th.

Just because you pay full price at launch for bundle fodder doesn't change it from being bundle fodder.

That season pass is not looking good so far. Two dlcs, neither of them campaigns.

Meh, too early to really judge imo, going in I didn't expect 4 campaign DLCs like with BL2. And in all honesty, I get more mileage out of extra characters, so I was happy to see them included in the SP this time around.

Or maybe I'm just trying to justify fakeybro'ing the whole shebang.

What I'm most excited for is PT3 and reset capability as I had already reached endgame with all my characters. Now they just need to fix the farmable bosses and loot pools and we'll be aces. (God, I hate Pickle.)

The cynic in me notes that the mysterious lack of farm-able bosses would sure help to sell a Season Pass that includes an arena full of farm-able bosses.

We need more fighting games on Steam, that's for sure. There's nothing more compelling than wildly mashing buttons to defeat your opponent on a tiny, horizontal stage. It's almost as exciting as driving a pretend vehicle in a semi-circular pattern for 500 laps.

IV still has one or two huge expansions left. They have to add all the Tekken characters... I mean, they already added all the stages from SF X Tekken.
I don't even mean expansions. They need to fix online mp in Steam version still. I think the latest update made 6 out of 10 games playable. Not acceptable.

GMG has Square-Enix stuff in it's VIP room:

  • Final Fantasy III $5.99
  • Final Fantasy IV $5.99
  • Final Fantasy VII $4.50
  • Final Fantasy VIII $4.50
  • Final Fantasy XIII-2 $14.99
  • Lara Croft Temple of Osiris $14.99
  • The Last Remnant $3.75
The cheapest FF3/4 have ever been, I think

When the hell are we going to get FFVII/FFVIII for 75% off, Squenix?

so any other people(idiots) like me gonna get Dungeon Defenders 2? http://store.steampowered.com/app/236110/ to clarify, this is an Early Access game that will be F2P once it officially releases, but you can pay to play it now. nobody? heh, can't say i blame you :)
If the first game is of any indication, it'll probably come with a bajillion pay2win DLCs. Which is a shame, since the core gameplay is pretty fun (at least for a TD fan like me).

Not yet. The way the thing reads is things will go on sale as the show is on.
Check out The Game Awards 2014 live on Steam on Friday, Dec 5th at 6PM PST! You can also take advantage of huge savings on many of the titles nominated for awards during The Game Awards Sale on Steam.

The Game Awards Sale will run through Monday, Dec 8th at 10am PST.
It says during the Game Awards Sale, not during the Game Awards. Some of the titles are on sale and some are not, from what I can tell, and it doesn't look as if any additional discount will be applied.

fake edit: Batman Arkham Knight hasn't even been released yet, wtf? Most Anticipated?

Wish there would just be a final fantasy bundle already.
