Just sort of an FYI but you can actually give someone a giftable Torchlight I even if they already have it but you have to add them as a friend and do it as a live trade via Steam's secure trade system.

I got in a group buy for T2 and that's how I got the giftable T1 a while back. (I already owned T1 from a prior purchase)

It's more of a pain and I totally understand if you don't want to go through all that, but there is a workaround for those who really want to do it.

A lot of times with Steamworks games the other digital platforms will send you your key early when there is a preload. Had it happen with Direct2Drive and Greenmangaming.
