I'll be the first to admit, I have a large head. It matches the rest of me, and being 6'8" with a stocky build, it would look bad if I had a tiny head.

I normally use the normal Xbox 360 wired headset, but I'd like something a bit more rugged. Something that looked like a DJ style headset would be cool, but may be overkill. I've been buying Koss headphones because there's a lifetime warranty if they break and I utilize it every 2 years average. The don't however make anything that's Xbox 360 compatible (to my knowledge).

I like Microsoft's wireless headset but haven't jumped on it due to price. I'm just wondering if theres anything else better out there I should consider first?

Well I dont know about other headphones but I can vouch for the microsoft wireless headset... The sound quality is great and you dont have to worry about that damn wired cord. The only backside to it for me was that I had to buy a cell phone charger so I could charge it from the wall outlet, as it only comes with a 360 usb charger...

You could try tracking down one of the Motorola NFL headsets. Looks like a coach's headset (big ol' DJ cups and a boom mike). I don't know how reliable they are or what the quality is, but it might be what you're looking for.

The Motorola NFL ones work nicely, I used one before I bought a wireless one and it was pretty good quality. The only real downside is that the mic wasnt really that movable so its a little harder to position, but for the prices they go for on eBay and such I'd say they are well worth it.
