Stupid kid decapitated by Six Flags ride.

I didnt see any debates going on. All I saw was people making fun of church....a topic that steamed from him being in a church group.

To me it seemed more that she was tired of all the church jokes that were going on. No one was trying to make any logical debates about religion at all they were just calling it stupid and making fun of it.

Something that goes on in every single thread ever created on CAG. There is no flame war going on here.

When 5 paragraph post about how jesus was real/fake pop up then she would have a point. As of right now its people simply makes jokes like they always have on every subject. I see no difference in this and ragging on Darth because he has bad skin and is home schooled or TMK because he is crazy, or myself for not being able to spell.

But if I am the only one that feels that way I will drop it.

Its entirely possible I read something wrong the first time through. Not that it changes the No Bashing reminder. Lets just call it a notice where I don't know why I was reminding anyone, but in general we want to keep things civil and respectful.

If you're the only person and you're right, then dropping it is the worst thing to do.

I know how CAG works. Dropping it or pressing it will most likely lead to the same thing.
I know how CAG works.
You sure do, being that you've been banned four or five times for not being able to contain your emotions on an online message board.

FIGHT THE POWER.

Honestly....why must you follow me around all the time. Seriously. Is there any logical reason why you absolute must quote me every single time I say something? You really are pathetic.

I await you witty remark.

By the way you are confusing my announcement of summer vacations as I usually dont visit CAG during the summer with actually bans. I have only been banned twice...maybe a 3rd for a day ban.

Please get your facts right.

EDIT: Makes me remember the time I ignored your jives for about a month and then you literally went out of your way for an entire page to get me to respond to something. And when I finally did with a simply 1 word post you glowed like a little school girl. Very happy to know that Soodmeg didnt have you on ignore.

Brak I am tired of you and this. Find a new guy to chase around. Bye now.

Strange that you constantly say that I am starting agruments....but I never say anything to you.

Who am I arguing with right now? I made a observation, posted it....2 people disagreed and the mod agreed. Where is the argument? Then it ended.

Whats hysterical how often you appear when I never actually talk to you and how mad it makes you that I dont try to join flame wars. How as soon as I say....hmm I guess I should drop this topic as I dont want it to lead to a flame war is the very second that you appear each and every time.

Seriously brak. Have a good internet life. Cya.
Dipshits who use phrases like "stupid moron" I'm sure. Get off your high horse you pompous prick.

To everyone else who is getting their rocks off by posting little quips about Social Darwinism, I implore you to take a look in the mirror. You'll find substantial evidence that in today's world competitive forces aren't working quickly enough to chop the lowest common denominator off from the rest of society. People make mistakes, this one just happened to have dire consequences. I know compassion is a concept foreign to 9/10ths of the people who frequent this site but christ... grow up.
Part of surviving is being smart enough not to get yourself killed. There's no Social Darwinism in this argument. This is just pure survival of the fittest. The dumbass did something stupid that got him killed. Sure it was a mistake, but a smart human would've known to stay the hell away from a speeding rollercoaster. This is why he's dead and we get to live on to eat and breed.

I have compassion for the people left to pick up the pieces, not for this dumb shit. I can't think of any motivation that would justify anyone doing something stupid like this. " People make mistakes", just doesn't cut it. This is why I need to understand his motives.

Also, you're a hypocritical shithead.

I've gone on the Batman ride (in Ohio before the park was renamed). It was the first big roller coaster that I went on. Fun ride but no one got decapitated when I rode it.

So you are saying it could have been better.

Maybe next time?
I remember at Great America, this also happened. I think a kid wanted to get his change, and someone came and kicked him ( Top Gun) . They broke their legs and the kid went flying :/
I remembered that as well, execept that it was a man trying to get his hat, and he climbed a fence and he die. The woman on the ride broke her leg.

Ok, so now they are saying the kid was hopping the fences for a shortcut. I still like the hat story better. It is just better irony.

Six Flags need to put a giant sign in bright letters in restricted areas stating, "STAY THE fuck OUT!!". And you have to put in that f-word in, because people feel strongly about it; let's them know you ain't playing.

He died what I call, a Darwin's death.
Nobody lives forever, we'll all go someday. You can't do anything about it. But what you can do is not put yourself in a knowingly stupid situation that could get you killed.

DON'T DIE STUPID, DIE SMART!!
So you are saying it could have been better.
That was the best reply possible. You need a cookie or a star or sumpin for that.
Ok, so now they are saying the kid was hopping the fences for a shortcut. I still like the hat story better. It is just better irony.
Shortcut to what? I'm familiar with this park and this ride and the layout and I'm danged if I can figure out where he thought he was taking a shortcut to.

And yes, the hat is far better for irony and believability. Everyone loses hats on rollercoasters. My big brother and I were on the shockwave or some other coaster at Six Flags over Texas, and some dude's hat about three cars ahead of us went flying off. Jim caught it, I've never seen him react that fast before.

I am not familiar with the park...so I really don't know where he was going. I am just regurgitating what the local news is vomiting as news for the day. I sure tomorrow he will be trying to save a beached whale or something.

My mom caught a hat on Corkscrew at Cedar Point. It is neat when it happens.
The sad thing is the kid's parents will probably try to sue the park...
That's just it. Right now, I have no sympathy for the idiot kid, but I definitely feel for the family. The second the word 'lawsuit' comes out of either of their mouths, my sympathy and respect for them drops to zero.
I sure tomorrow he will be trying to save a beached whale or something.
Very likely. We have a lot of those around here.

Oh, I so want to go to Cedar Point! Maybe I'll treat myself to a trip out there later this summer if I do well on my diet.
Oh, I so want to go to Cedar Point! Maybe I'll treat myself to a trip out there later this summer if I do well on my diet.
I haven't missed a season in over 20 years. I have been spoiled by living next to one of the best amusement parks. When I go to other parks I can enjoy myself, and I do. But I sometimes think, this is cool but it is no Cedar Point. If you do go, I can give you some seasoned vet tips for rides and such.
This could be good promotion for The Dark Knight. That kid was a joker and batman showed him whats what.
hahahaha. best joke of the thread so far
I am surprised, after 181 replies, that nobody has pointed out that the thread title says "Six Parks" and not "Six Flags".
If you don't count post 88, then yea.

And it's a help1 post so maybe it's for the best that it not be considered.
Funny you should mention that.....

http://www.rideaccidents.com/disneyland.html
Oh yeah, Disney is notorious for coving accidents up.
I am surprised, after 181 replies, that nobody has pointed out that the thread title says "Six Parks" and not "Six Flags".
I fixed it.

Kendal, if I do get out there, I'll definately be asking for some inside advice. =)

Time to go break the CAG Daily Masturbation Record!
We all know that's a lie.
We all know that's a lie.
Actually yeah, it is. I am on vacation until July 14th, so I am sitting here half naked watching tennis, posting on CAG. The Good Life.

Watching tennis is a clear indication that you have hit rock bottom when it comes to things to do.

Ask moxio. I know he says he likes watching tennis, but you can see the desperation in his posts and behind his eyes, screaming silently for something to alleviate his sorrow.

The notion that this kid was reaching up to grab at people on the train is not a fact. Also it seems unlikely that he was kicked by anyone, and instead was more likely hit by the train itself because there are no reports of other injuries (that's my own deduction, not a fact either, but it seems likely to me because if somebody kicked him at those speeds, their leg would have at least been broken). Some witnesses said only that he was trying to retrieve something, other witnesses said he was trying to touch the train. They might have been right, but they may not have been right. Witnesses sometimes (often?) don't really know what has happened.
This could be good promotion for The Dark Knight. That kid was a joker and batman showed him whats what.
Read my mind.

I am sure he will end up getting a Darwin Award. I am sorry, the stupid must be punished.

What are we going to create another law to protect the stupid.

"Ordanance 2008.7.1.12, all people who enter amusement parks must wear helmets and buckle up at rides, punishable by $200 fines for either."

Somehow I can see that getting created which would absolutely do nothing for getting decapitated.
http://www.wistv.com/Global/story.asp?S=8580338&nav=menu36_2
The fences were only six feet tall. I'm not convinced they are off the hook.

Straight from the lawyer's mouth. Two 6' fences and signs all over the place aren't enough? Should the entire fucking ride be encased in a cage? Or would they then be at fault when some shit-brained ape fucker falls to his death because they made it so enticing to climb?

Your son is dead. Your son is dead due to no one's fault but his own, and your inept parenting ability. And it's the park's fault for not making taller fences?! I hope Darwin strikes again before these jackholes make it to court.

Geoffrey Hamrick was one of Ferguson's friends and remembers him as a person he knew would always lend a head.

"He knew more about Algebra than I did," Hamrick said. "If I needed help, I could talk to him. He was sitting right there beside me. His specialty was dividing by poles."

Hamrick recently saw Ferguson and described him as happy. For Hamrick, learning about the death of his friend was hard to bear.
"I went in the bathroom and started crying," Hamrick said. "Yeah, I'm pretty much a pussy."

The gym is left without one of its favorite sons, and a boy without a head.

Sorry.. I had to.
