Because Cena makes WWE a TON of money regardless of whether or not you like him/WISH DEATH UPON SOMEONE WHO RISKS HIS LIFE IN THE RING IN EVERY MATCH.
He risks his health and well being, not his life. Very few people genuinely harm themselves tremendously in a single match relative to the number of wrestlers there are. We can name Owen Hart, or Droz, or Hayabusa, or Alan Funk...but let's be honest; you could say the same thing about a number of professions. If you do things the right way, you'll stay healthy. If you screw up, you get hurt. That's as true of a fry cook as it is of a professional wrestler.
I'd like to know more about who you are as a result of your perpetual optimism of the current wrestling product. Are you just a longtime fan or do you have more history than that?
Cena represents the kind of person who says "Yes, sir," "No, sir," and "how high would you like me to jump, sir" in the face of a corporation. He doesn't rock the boat, he settles for mediocrity and capitulation. It's the same reason people despise, say, The Pussycat Dolls and respect Radiohead, or despise Rachel Ray and adore Anthony Bourdain or Gordon Ramsay. People who are individuals and pioneers, and not paperthin representatives of what corporations decide is best for us. It's the very same reason Tomko looks like a million bucks on "Global Impact," yet the actual "Impact" product and characters are so sickening. I think even you can see that. (it's also the reason Samoa Joe's work/shoot character is so mundane - you can see how contrived it is - and why the Matt Hardy/Edge feud was so hot, at least for a minute - and also why it went cold so

in' quickly).
